Liberty Brewery & Grill

Very good, only had appetizers as a snack in the middle of the day but great food and great service.

Loved the selection of home brews… especially the Honest IP Abe… can’t beat the happy hour prices to!!! Give me Liberty or give me a beer!!!

I visited the Liberty on February 10 for the evening meal in a group of 4. We were seated promptly at a nice table with a view of a lake at the Broadway at the Beach complex. The service was friendly and efficient. The nut brown ale brewed in house is an excellent change of pace from the usual domestic brews. My medium rare NY strip was prepared as ordered and a variety of side dishes were available. Others in our party enjoyed the fried shrimp and BBQ ribs. The dining room décor was pleasant and they have a cozy bar area as well. You can view the brewing area through glass windows. The Liberty is definitely a place to return when visiting the beach

HUGE disappointment! If we go to Broadway, this is our place… or has been up until now!
First off, we asked the less than thrilled to be working hostess for a seat by the water (we were in about 11:45 for lunch and the place was practically empty), I swear she sat us in the corner as far away as she could!
As always I order water and the waitress brings me a bottle of water, when I asked for ice she looked at me funny (doesn’t everyone get iced with water in a restaurant??) apparently not at Liberty!
Appetizer was fine! Hubby and son wanted loaded fries and they were good.
I honestly don’t know where to start with the main course. I ordered a Greek salad with grilled shrimp (which I thought was an odd combo, but I’ll go with it), the shrimp arrived smelling very «fishy» and they were so over cooked they were hard. So I just didn’t eat them… salad wasn’t bad and dressing was very good. My son had the fried shrimp with mashed potatoes… same thing he bit one shrimp and was like… I can’t eat those. My husband had the chili, which he didn’t care for and a salad that was fine. When the waitress came back she didn’t think it was a bit odd that all of our plates were full as she was clearing the plates. The food just was not good. And the service was mediocre at best.
Oh, well. Lessen learned. I will not go back to Liberty.

Men’s Room smelled horrible by the urinals. Instant turn off…

I can only speak to the cocktails served here. They were decent, but underwhelming… there does appear to be a healthy selection of brewery items and despite the focus on libations it was full of families with children, which depending on your own party, could be a pro or a con… great spacious location with an outdoor beer garden and plenty of indoor seating as well. centrally located in the Broadway at the beach circle, it’s a fun stop-​through point.

If I rated this place on service and appetizers, it would get 4 stars. Pretzels were fantastic, and our server, Jessica, was friendly, attentive, and on top of things.
If I rated it on the beer, a solid 3.5. I had the I.P.Abe, and was pleased.
The entrees brought the score down though. My wife’s steak was tough and fatty (about a quarter of it was fat). Our little one didn’t finish her hot dog, which I’ve never seen before, and my burger sat in my gut for hours and hours.
If you’re looking for a place to have a couple of good beers and some appetizers with friends, by all means, go, enjoy the awesome waterfront view, or sit in the beer garden to people watch and catch a game on tv. If you want dinner, I’d recommend elsewhere.

We were on vacation and stopped by here after looking over their menu outside. We came in and were sat right away in the back with an awesome view of the water. The table was a little wobbly but we figured out how to balance it ourselves. Everything was spotless inside. Our server was pleasant, attentive, personable, and professional.
My partner and I both ordered the special for that night which was a NY Strip with a half rack of ribs and two sides. The ribs were tender and amazing as far as the taste was concerned. The steak was cooked a perfect med/​rare as I ordered. The taste was lacking though. There was no salt at all, it seemed. The mashed potatoes were very creamy and tasty.
The price was reasonable for the meal we ate. We were satisfied with the meal overall and wouldn’t mind going back.

It’s inside Broadway on the Beach, and we were lucky enough to have our lunch in the back dining room overlooking the water to see the crazy antics of a speedboat operator scaring the bejeezus out of his paying customers by doing water wheelies and barelling toward the piers at a million miles an hour before he scooted between two poles.
Liberty Brewery is a real visual thrill with American flags and bald eagles and Uncle Sams and Lady Liberties everywhere.
This is a working brewery as evidenced by the huge steel tanks as you walk in. There is a big chalkboard with the beer selections, but you have to take these with a few grains of hops, because the sign can’t be trusted. I ordered a Raspberry Wheat and a Porter that were on the board, but were not available. Truth be told, that’s pretty lame.
I did order a Belgian White Ale ($ 3.75) that was really good.
We started with an unusual appetizer for the table; an order of peanut hummus with pita chips ($ 6.95). The hummus was ery thick –almost like a chicken salad. I didn’t notice the peanut taste, but it was still very tasty and every bit of the order disapeared.
I had a Cobb Salad ($ 9.95) –lots of chicken cubes. Lots of bacon. Lots of blue cheese crumbles. Lots of fresh veggies. It was very good.
The other salads at our table, Apple and Chicken ($ 10.95) and Spinach with Shrimp looked just as good. Our fourth orderd a fish and chips, and it was a monster portion.
All in sll, we had a great time. The food was quite good here.
