Fantastic Sandwich and service! Tried the«How now brown cow» as recommended and it was one of the best roast beef sandwiches I’ve had.

I’d highly recommend this to anyone! The food here is amazing and it’s owned by some great people. It’s a little bit pricey but you really can’t go wrong! It’s worth every penny and they carry the best chips around!

Great little place to go for lunch. Not open for long, but when you can sneak in there it’s the best place for a good sandwich.

Fantastic deli sandwiches, easily the best in the Muskegon area, and among the best that I’ve had, anywhere. Little family-owned and –operated place where you can talk to the owners as they take your order.

Never had a bad experience. I usually get the How Now Brown Cow-LOVE it. There’s usually too much horseradish sauce for my pallet, so I recommend going«light» on the horsey sauce and adding a little mayo to help cut the zing, but keep the flavor. I’ve been here too many times to count. It’s a hole in the wall, a little cramped, but it’s unique!

Took my brother here for the first time and he loved it! This was only my second visit but I know they do not disappoint. Awesome sandwiches/subs! Made with boars head. Totally worth it!

Fantastic little sub/sandwich spot tucked away in a hard to find area just outside downtown Muskegon. Fresh ingredients and creative fare.

Sandwiches, soup, salads everything is excellent! Kids combos. Daily soup and sandwich specials. The staff is always so friendly. The shop is small but there’s outdoor seating as well.

This is a great little gem hidden in Muskegon. Price range is about $ 10 for a sandwich and a bag of chips. I went for the How Now Brown Cow on whole wheat. Roast beef and horseradish sauce is a great combo! The bread is nice and a great carb pickup. The Roast beef is from Boar’s Head, what’s there not to like about that? Answer, nothing! The mixed greens is a great touch. So many sub shops are still using plain old boring iceberg, I welcome the uniqueness. I usually shy away from kettle chips, too crunchy and hard for my liking, but these were really good. Just enough crunch to be better than your average Lay’s, but not so saturated with grease that it feels like you just licked an oil can. All in all I really liked my meal and is well deserving of a five star rating for uniqueness, flavor, and overall value!

Small place but they were friendly and helpful. Ordered the Italian Stallion, solid sandwich. Bread fresh and ingredients as well. A little out of the way for a return visit but that name is great.

I got FAT at FaTtY LuMpKiNs! It was great! I ordered, I ate, I ingested calories! Part of the whole experience is the acceptance that you are indeed eating at a place called Fatty Lumpkins. When a colleague mentioned this as a alternative lunch destination, I knew, oh how I knew, it was going to be a groggy second half of the day. Weighing the pros of being able to tell people that I ate at a place called Fatty Lumpkins(I know I know, I keep mentioning the name, but it’s fun to say), and growing tired of the usual haunts, my peaked interest definitely tilt the scale to a resounding«yes». I ordered some chicken sandwich with Red Hot. Sadly, I can’t really say it was all that memorable, BUT the memory of eating at the one and only Fatty Lumpkins will stay with me forever… well, at least until I hit the gym next.

Best sandwich in muskegon hands down! Love the Italian stallion the best. If you want a good sandwich and want quality look no further. Wish they had a little more room to eat inside but the great food makes up for it!!!

Good food, long wait! It is worth it but this place is tiny and always packed. I would consider them for catering, for sure. I really hope this place does well enough to relocate somewhere better and bigger!

Had lunch there while in the area this weekend after reading several positive Unilocal reviews. The food(turkey, salami & cheese hoagie and the soup of the day) was really good! The space is definitely small, but also welcoming, and the staff were all extremely friendly and checked in on us a couple times to see if anything else was needed. Good experience all around!

For a Muskegon restaurant it’s a five star. Creative, entertaining menu that delivers. Fresh, flavorful ingredients. What impressed us even more than their food was their hospitality. Exceptional, friendly service. Next time we’re in town it will be a destination.

A cozy, friendly sandwich shop with youthful personality. The menu includes a nice variety of sandwiches from classic egg salad and subs to one-of-a-kind specialties like Clucky You and Wham Bam Thank You Ham, all made with fresh ingredients. Entrée and side salads are available as well. Everything is priced well and backed up by genuine, warm service. A great lunch option I’d recommend to locals or anyone just passing through.

This place is buried back in a rundown neighborhood behind an old industrial area. If you weren’t looking you might miss it. Once you open the door, you see a very clean sitting area. Fresh looking. Behind the counter its a group of twenty year-olds working hard and doing there best to give an excellent experience. The sandwiches were tasty and full of fresh flavors. The chips were tasty. One guy was running in and out with trays for catering. Would go back in a heart beat.

Run by a local Muskegon man, this quaint sandwich shop is what every neighborhood should have and hopefully, perhaps more than one. From the moment I stepped inside, I was quickly addressed in a friendly manner by the owner with order pad and pen in hand. The four of us dining that day voiced our orders from the narrow walkway that leads in a straight line from front to back of Fatty Lumkins. You can order off the dry erase board, as well as form the to-go menu, either works but the board is updated and more expedited a fashion. Immediately as the order tumbled off my tongue the only other employee began the process of creating the gourmet specialty sandwiches, like a marine putting his firearm back together – (not my best example to illustrate the swiftness and precision I observed). The Shy High Pastrami on Rye was great, thin cuts of cured meat upon a quality rye, slathered with brown mustard, washed down with a bottle of Coke from Mexico, less syrupy, written all in Spanish. My second trip I ordered the Cluck You-Chicken breast, dill Havarti, sprouts mayo honey mustard all on a multigrain bread. With 13 sandwiches 9 hoagies 7 salads-Including a Caprese, Fatty has a great concept of quality food at a reasonable price.
