Los Primos Mexican Food

So far I have tried:
Carne asada fries
Carne asada California burrito
Chicken enchiladas
Rice
All items tasted good. Portions are large, and reasonable for the price. That being said, the wait times for their food are quite long. To me this isn’t really a negative because that tells me my food isn’t sitting under a heat lamp, but don’t go here if you’re in a rush.
Service is very friendly and answers questions when asked.
I will continue to go here when I need my Mexican food fix.

Blech! Went here for lunch today and the shredded beef in the burrito, had an off taste and now my stomach hates me! Used to really like it here.

I wish I could give zero stars, because I’m so upset. I am not a complainer, but I’m done with this place for sure. In the past I’ve been satisfied, other than with the service. The ladies at the drive-​thru have been impatient at best and borderline rude at worst, not even offering a smile or a greeting at the window. But this time, we ordered three of the monster burritos. I requested a Cali burrito with carnitas, but when I got it home… the first few bites were all sour cream and tortilla. Which, ok, that happens sometimes, but after that I realized I didn’t taste any meat. So I opened it up, and there was NONE. Not a speck of meat in a giant burrito full of nothing but potatoes, guac, sour cream, and cheese. At least one of the other burritos had almost no meat on it as well. I have never been so disappointed. They won’t honor refunds without the food AND a receipt, which my husband neglected to take; so my advice is, if you eat here, make sure you get a receipt, because they seem more than willing to screw you out of the food you paid for.

The food here is decent but service is very slow. The prices are also high compared to similar foods and side dishes at comparable restaurants.
I have eaten from here (usually from their drive-​thru) for several years and the ratio of price vs quantity & quality has shifted toward lesser value for the customer.
My most recent order was 2 breakfast burro’s for $ 3 each and a side of beans and rice. That came out to over $ 12. Seems a bit high for two $ 3 items right? Those are some expensive side dishes and the quantities were about 1 cup each.

This place is aweful. They have no idea what is on their own menu. Always takes forever at the drive thru. Food isn’t as good as any of the «bertos» stores. Wished we had one in this town so all the other crap taco shops could figure it out.

Best comfort Mexican food in Murrieta. Their carne asada is very flavorful and a they have many unique burritos, plates and fries. Their Monster Burrito menu is an adventure every time… don’t expect to finish the whole thing in one sitting.
My only issue is that they tend to be stingy with hot sauce… I’m the kind of guy pours it on and when I ask for extra they either tell me that my food will already be spicy or they’ll just give me 1 or 2 more than usual. Other than that I have no concerns. This place is definitely my go-​to quick Mexican food spot when I’m in the area.

Friendly servers and clean, even the restrooms. Like the selection of hot sauces, salsa, peppers and carrots that are readily available. The carne asada burrito is ok but I’ve had better. Usually buy in San Diego so maybe for the locals the pricing is good in comparison to serving size.

Went to this place over the weekend and been here several times. The quality of their food is amazing! It tastes so gourmet and the staff is always helpful. I refer everyone to this Mexican restaurant in the area.

I have a mixed review.
Pros: Whenever I have gone through the drive through my service has been fast and my food was correct. The food tastes amazing.
Cons: The last time I went to Los Primos, we went inside, the lady who helped us was not pleasant and rude. Although we were very kind and patient back. I ordered the 6 tacos with pork. When I received my food there were 5 tacos and it was with chicken. And then later that night I had massive amounts of food poisoning. Def through me off this location for good.
The only reason I’m doing 3 stars instead of 1, is my prior visits were not bad.

Usually love Los primos. Being on crutches, I made a huge effort to drive there, and bought a bunch of food. Get home, and the order was wrong. I called, explained the situation, and instead of bringing the correct order (they cater), they offered a «discount «on my next order. Lots of help there!

I love this place. Food is great and staff is really nice. Been back several times. Tastes like homemade. Not take out!
Highly recommend that you try it out.

ok, been a while since my last review from Los Primos. its been tearing me up. I love late night tacos and had to give LP another try. Not too many places open all night and LP justs works for me because this is where I get off the freeway. Anyway, dropped in last night, went to walk up window and placed my order. Doesn’t really matter what it was, but it was good and very satisfying. I got an all meet Carne Asada Burrito with Cheese only. I went to sleep a happy camper. My wife and kids also enjoyed their tacos. I’m going back again soon.

Located right next to 7eleven. Can easily go unnoticed. Their tacos (packed with guacamole) are the absolute best.

Great food, as always. This is quickly replacing Alberto’s as my favorite Mex Food. And, Cecilia is always very pleasant — recognizes us even in the drive-​thru before we get to the window!

Went through drive through they made me repeat myself so many times I ended asking the lady if I could just come to the window to order… I ordered a kids meal for my nephew bean and cheese with a side of FRIES the lady repeated my order to me and even said fries. Upon arriving home (grand ave lake elsinore) I received rice and beans. I called and the lady said I would have to turn around and drive clear down to the establishment to get fries… most organizations will allow you to conveniently pick up wrong items at your time because after all they did mess up and inconvenience you in the first place… bad business… bad policy… customer lost…

Mmmmm… California Burritos are amazing!!! Small place, but they get you in and out pretty quick. The only reason for the loss of a star is because it’s hit or miss on service here. I love that they have a salsa bar, and the food comes out pretty quickly! I definitely recommend for a quick Mexican bite!

My go-​to mexican food spot when I lived in so cal, and now when I come to visit. Nothing compares to Cali Burritos especially from this place. I never cared that it was located in a gas station but it gave it more character. lol
I live in SF now, and these bay area people can debate with me all they want but they CANNOT compare southern cali mexican food to the restaurants up here. They don’t even carry fries in their stores here in the bay. Cali burritos and carne asada fries here are the best. I used to get a half-​order of the fries for myself but then realized that I always wanted more. So a full order for me. every time. MmmMm i want some now.

Los Primos is great after a night of drinking or if you’re really hungry and want something filling. I stick with the super nachos, or chipotle shrimp burrito usually. Fresh tortillas and horchata are a plus.

Love this place! This is my absolute favorite/​go to place for good Mexican food. Their carne asada fries are great, so is there Cali monster burrito (I’m a big eater and it’s easily 2 meals). The carnitas tacos are also very good. I’ve never had something from here that I don’t like. The red salsa is great and the green is yummy too! Also, they always seem to be friendly through the drive thru. Overall, one of my favorite places to eat in all of the IE.
