Stopped for breakfast while in between running errands. Nice and clean. I tried their cheese blintzes with a side order of sausage links and two eggs scrambled, coffee, and water. The blintzes came filled with a cottage cheese and marscapone cheese filling; with sour cream and apple sauce. The blintzes were too thick — almost like pancakes, and could have been cooked more. I didn’t care for the applesauce that was tasteless, and devoid of any real chunks of apples. Room for improvement there. The eggs were done very well, and the portion of sausage links very good(four in a side) and cooked just right. Their coffee was a touch on the strong side, yet still hot and good tasting. When the check came the tally was a little more than $ 15 after tax. Very reasonable. I will venture back to try something else on their menu. It’s far better than my experience at a restaurant in Libertyville at the Towne Square Restaurant that charged me way too much — especially for one egg.

The food was not good. Ordered corned beef hash and poached eggs, eggs were poached hard which was a first for me ever… Principle flavor of the food was salt. While corned beef hash is salty this was a dish they must had salted as well. I’ll never be back, there are too many other options locally for breakfast and this one simply isn’t good.

Omega is definitely my «go to» for great food and great service! The food is always fresh and made by hand. My absolutely favorite dish is the chicken salad with cranberries and pecans sandwich. Yum! Aside from the food though, the staff go way above and beyond to make you feel like family! The minute I walk in the door I am greeted with a hello and told to sit wherever I am most comfortable. Norm from Cheers would be proud Omega

I’ve been going to this restaurant since it was Grandma V’s. The food is very good! I’ve been there for mainly breakfast and lunch. Their Omelets are thick, fluffy and D-LISH! I also love their french toast and Eggs Benedict! Their cheese burgers and fries are very yummy! The staff and the waitresses are friendly and helpful. Diane I’ve known since Grandma V’s and she’s an awesome waitress! I always look forward to seeing her! :)

Great service. The food is good. Whether it has been breakfast or lunch, I have never had anything that I regretted. If you have a taste for a «Greek» restaurant cheeseburger, the ones here fit the bill and will fulfill your need.

I’ve tried breakfast and lunch items. Very friendly people and good service. They make their own salad dressings and have plenty of soup options every day!

We had great food and great service. Unilocal says my review is too short, so… I’ll add that not only was my food great, but, so was the service!

Horrible experience last night. My wife ordered an omelet with no green peppers and fruit rather than potatoes. Both were done wrong, which happens, but it was the fact it took 10 minutes to get the waitress back to our table that was the issue. We explained to the manager what happened and she said we should have asked for the manager. I asked how we could if there was no one in the dining room to ask. There was not even a bus boy in the dining room. I told the manger we would not be coming back and she said: OK”. So, there it is. This is a place that just does not care. By the way, there were only a handful of tables occupied and the situation was blamed on their being so busy.

The place is empty yet your service will still suck. The food is not good and overpriced. It’s too bad… we could use a good Greek family restaurant in mundelein but sadly this joint is a fail… I have given them four chances since they have opened.

We had a delicious lox and bagel platter and took home a fancy, yummy dessert. The menu is extensive and the service good. I only wish we lived closer so we could come more often!

Was early for a meeting so decided to stop for breakfast. Familiar with the name bc of the Morton Grove location. Food was good(veggie omelet) but the places had multiple flies that I was shewing away while eating. Probably will not come back bc of this. Too many choices in the area to worry about flies.

Terrible service. Food doesn’t make up for it. Cashier at the end was very rude. Not a place I would recommend for breakfast when there are so many better options.

Overall the food was ok, but we waited over 10 minutes for someone to come to our table and they only came when we asked someone who our server was. They forgot half of my kids meal and brought me the wrong thing. The food was ok, but next time we will go back to our regular place, too bad because this place is so close.

Service is always good. Food was decent, not as good as the other Omega thou. Last time I ate here, the middle of my girls pancakes were cold uncooked batter. So that ended our going back. Too bad cuz it’s real close.

Food was good, service was good. Everything you expect from Omega and they still do it right after all these years.

I’ve gone here many times. The staff is friendly enough. Food is ok. The place and décor leaves something to be desired, pretty dingy and outdated. Just your basic diner type of place. We’ve never had to wait long, even during busy hours. Nothing exceptional though overall. Prices are normal I guess. It’s good basically for proximity but not worth going out of your way for.

Good diner food. Pricey for what you get and they nickel-and-dime($ 1.00 for egg beaters, $ 0.25 more for english muffin instead of toast, etc.) Quick and hot meal with good service.

The open-face turkey sandwich is my go-to at Omega, and if there is room left, a pastry to take-away. Their cakes case is filled with yummy-looking treats. I’ve only ever tried the chocolate ones, which are lovely. For breakfast, you’ll find a cheaper deal for the same or better quality elsewhere. This person may not even work there anymore, but our waitress was constantly in the corner looking at her phone. Another one was vacuuming the main dining room while we were there at 8pm(they don’t close until 10… why the rush?). It was noisy and seemed like they wanted us to leave. Do try the cakes, though!

Staff was friendly, decent prices, food was OK. My fork was dirty, and the restaurant does look old for having just opened. Not sure how it compares to other omega, we probably wouldn’t recommend it or come back. Nothing special.

Yikes, this place was a dump. I have been to the Omega in Des Plaines/Niles area and it was quite good. But this location was not! I was surprised at the positive ratings, we surely did not have a positive experience. Was out with the parents and we were seeking Greek family style food fare. First off, we waited a very long time before someone even came to the table. On a Saturday evening at 6:30 pm, there were not quite a half dozen people in the place and the server said they were out of rolls but would bring toast. Our sever was very curt and obviously did not want to be there. I heard another server apologize a few times to patrons at another table, not sure what was going on there. For as few amount of people in the place, the service was simply horrendous. The honey mustard salad dressing was thick as mud, yuck. We ordered skirt and strip steaks. The strip was dry and overcooked. Hashbrowns were a little on the greasy side. The skirt steak was just ok, I have had much better seasoned ones at other Greek family restaurants. So…yeah, uh won’t be back anytime soon.
