Fast service and cash only! I ordered medium Tau Chin Nam(phở with steak, brisket, and flank) with extra meat but they gave me a large instead, which is fine. $ 9.47 is the total. The broth is very good and the meat is cooked perfectly. The noodles are just okay. They also gave me cream puffs which is nice but not as good. Summary: Overall stellar phở place that cost around $ 7-$ 11 for a bowl of phở. Fast service and cash only.

Been a customer there for over 4 years, regularly however the previous time I was there I was overcharged and the last time I was there I mentioned it to the owner(cashier). He went ballistic on me, calling me a liar, and yelling at me that I wasn’t overcharged etc. Guess business is so good he doesn’t want me back. No worries, I will tell everyone I can about his rudeness.

Save yourself the trip and go elsewhere! Terrible phở. Terrible service. I’m vietnamese and they still couldn’t get what I wanted after 3 tries and realizing they didn’t have any nuoc mam sauce for the spring rolls instead of the peanut sauce.

These people are really committed to their customers. Even when the power was out from the massive wind storm, they were still serving. It is a good thing they had gas ranges. The phở quality did not suffer one bit. The slightly dimmed ambiance was actually quite pleasing and the place was still packed for lunch.

We came in, it was packed but we were seated right away, then two different waiters walked by in a span of two minutes asking if we’d decided on our order. When we did decide, our bowls were in front of us in no more than 3 minutes. I love how everyone is just slurping soup, having a grand old time. Phở happens to be a less than elegant food and this place has the right atmosphere. I’m not sure if they make there own broth or if it’s from a mix, but I would guess that it is a mix. That’s the only thing I can say tastewise I’ve experienced better elsewhere, by Ranch 99 simmers their own broth daily.(There are also no notices on Phở Than’s menu saying no MSG)

Food was quick to come out but there was hair in the water and in the bowl of phở. Apology was insincere and the server just gave us another bowl of phở without a second glance or word. Plan on never coming back again.

Favorite place to get Phở, all of the locations are equally good. The broth is fantastic and they are super friendly. I like to get the veggie phở in the beef broth, they give plenty of stuff and you can buy extra noodles to make a kids phở with some of the adults broth. Their pastries are fantastic.

Phở Than Brothers is always good. I come to realize the must be franchised because the restaurant listed as Edmonds location does not take credit cards. I’ve never been to a Than Brothers that doesn’t take credit card. Cash Only. Not only do they not post clearly before you enter that they are Cash Only, they have a cash machine in the resturant. Just in case you realize finally as you are eating they don’t take cards. Guess what? They charge 2.50 to get cash to pay your dinner bill. Very sneaky. Won’t be back, there’s another in Lynnwood most likely same distance from my place.

Definitely the best phở place I’ve been to in the Seattle area. I went in on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed but I was seated promptly. The décor was unfussy and the menus are under the glass surface of the table, probably to speed up the process of ordering. The staff was super friendly and efficient, and I had my food less than 10 minutes after I arrived. I had the veggie phở and I think I ordered a medium because it was so cheap– about $ 7, with a massive plate of bean sprouts and basil on the side. The bowl that came out was HUGE with loads of noodles and veggies and I struggled to finish. Next time I’ll get a small(: The only downside is that it is cash only, but at least they have an ATM onsite. I suppose the free cream puffs make up for it though.

My number 1 go to place for phở! They have locations everywhere, and they are all typically consistent with their quality/quantity of foods, customer service, etc. Edmonds location ONLY takes cash. They do have an ATM machine in there, but I believe it charges 3+ So be sure to bring cash before heading over. My favorite is the chicken phở & I always add tendon! Each entrée comes with their homemade crème puffs! It’s so delicious I can eat 5!!!

This is a go-to spot for consistent phở. Service is always top notch and friendly. They are crazy fast with take out orders… maybe 3 minutes tops from ordering to walking out the door with a bowl of happiness. Tip: cash only. Make sure to also visit the bakery a few doors down to complete your dining experience.

My first taste of phở and I’m a fan! Fast and friendly service for family of 4 at weekday dinner hour. Waiters did not hover, but I appreciated that they checked on us after bringing our food and refilled our water glasses. More experienced phở lovers(the other three of the family) said the flavor was spot on and that the assorted add-ons were just as desired. Spring rolls were large and fresh. Cream puffs were enjoyed by the others as well. As I am gluten-free, I can not say for certain, but by their smiles and the fight for the last(my) cream puff, I assume they were tasty. Phở Than is now the standard request when we are going for phở.

I had to update my review because the broth is just that GOOD! Seriously the best phở I’ve ever had in the Seattle area.

You go to Phở Than Brothers for one thing. Phở. You might also go for the cream puffs, but most people come for the phở. I’m not sure if it’s a franchise, as it seems like owners have changed hands over the years. With those changes, I really think the consistency of their phở goes along with it. Most recently, it’s been pretty great. I love the speed, and it’s always the perfect flavor every time I crave phở. Except for my mamas of course. I usually go for a small #9, two circles of sriachia and four hoisin sauce. Everyone likes their phở differently right? I love a lot of lime, and a little bit of bean sprouts, and that’s my perfect bowl. The phở here is satisfying, and great if you’re in a time crunch. It’s cheap, fast, and fairly friendly. Bring cash, but they do have an atm on site!

(I would suggest reading all reviews, I would not trust the soup, people found flys and tooth picks in their soups, the food should not be trusted) Awful, awful customer service. Every time I come in I get crappy service, they bring you your soup and then disappear. Never refill your water, you can hear them yelling in the kitchen, only one person knows English(barely). However the soup was ok and cheap. Though this last time I went will be the last time I ever go. We walked in and were promptly asked what we wanted,(we hadnt even the chance to see the menu) we said we need more time, the waiter then replies, «you want spring roll?» as if it came with the meal, we said sure. He ran off without even letting us say another word as I wanted to order a cup of tea and within seconds brings out spring rolls that looked like they had been sitting forever we told him they do not look fresh and sent them back, at the same time we placed order. He comes back with fried egg roles and soup, we try to stop him to ask if the egg roles had pork and why he brought us fried ones?(I should mention the spring role was wrapped in clear rice paper). Frustrated we had our soup and over 35minutes went by and we managed to catch one of the workers and asked her are these pork we asked for spring roles? She said yes they are pork and tried to run off again, this time I yelled«excuse me!» we asked for spring, why did you bring us pork? she said its egg role not spring. I told her again, then why did you give us these?! she said again they are fried they are pork. I have never wanted to deck someone in the teeth so bad. Her awful service and half-ass crap English ruined our meal. We proceed to leave and see the egg roles on our check we ask her to remove the charge as we did not eat them, she said but we fry and give you. At that moment I had to walk away. We paid, we left. Never ever will we go back, nor should anyone else. They are rude and disgusting. The only clean and good place for phở was five corners in Edmonds, sadly they closed because one of the owners fell sick. They were amazing.

I always order the brisket only large phở. The phở comes out in LITERALLY one minute from the time you order it. The taste is predictably good. The noodles are chewy and the broth is flavorful and plenty of brisket is given. For those that are on a 30 minute lunch timeslot, this place is perfect as you can eat a hearty bowl of phở without the extended time commitment!

I use to love the phở here. It’s cheap and it’s delicious! However, I learned from a reliable source that they do not let their waiters keep the tips that are meant for the waiters. I realize that this is a common practice at smaller Asian restaurants, but it is in no way acceptable. If you want more money, charge more for your phở. Do not steal from the waiters. They are barely making much at all!

My family and I have been coming here for years. They know us and what we want all though they still take our order because we change our soup sizes. The owner always jokes with my dad about ordering an extra large instead of ordering a large since sometimes he does order the extra large. We just laugh about it because my dad gets embarrassed:) They know we order two spring roll orders, they know that we always order the number 6, they know my dad orders a coke and the rest of us order water. They also know that 3 out of 5 of us use forks instead of chopsticks so they automatically bring them out with the bean sprouts plate. This place has never let us down! Best phở I’ve had and they give you cream puffs!!! They’re delicious! Customer service itself is 5 stars but the food as well is 5 stars! All other phở restaurants have let me down because I’m a regular here and no others compare! Make sure to always carry cash!

Aw… This is my favorite phở place in town, but they had tough meat! I ordered brisket, steak, and tendon. The brisket is what I look forward to the most, but it was weirdly chewy and hard to enjoy. The service is quick as usual(plate of fixings + free cream puffs), and the broth is awesome. Hopefully their low quality meat was just a one day thing… I will try it out again the next time I’m in Edmonds.

Than Bros(any location) is my favorite place for phở. I’m sure someone with a background eating Vietnamese food could suggest a dozen other phở establishments better than this one, but I’m a native born American and can’t really tell the difference. I’m more interested in the cleanliness of the restaurant than the quality of food. To me, the phở is fantastic, but I think the cream puffs are the icing on the cake! Don’t expect phenomenal service, and it’s CASH only, but it works for me.
