When the students at Central Michigan University were asked what they wanted in their new recreation building, bowling was in the top three in their responses. So the school contacted various bowling equipment manufacturers, and Brunswick submitted the winning proposal. The end result was a new state-of-the-art bowling center that all of the students could enjoy, which replaced the older bowling alley in the student union. However, this facility is open to the public as well. Like all modern bowling centers, ULanes offers glow bowling on Thursday — Saturday night from 8 – 10 p.m. This concept has proven to be very popular with the students living on campus, or commuting nearby. Moreover, parents can have peace of mind knowing this bowling center is completely alcohol and smoke free. ULanes also offers pizza as well.
