Nothing special. Took four times before they had tapioca for Bubble tea. Better places in My Pleasant in my opinion.

Here’s to a great fall day! Having my first Caramel Latte and chocolate chunk cookie at «The Dreamer» coffee shop just off the main campus of Central Michigan University. Excellent flavor! The shop itself is roomy(open), laid back and a great place to write the great American novel or study for that sociology exam. Free WiFi(ask the barista for the password.) Park right in front of the shop.

Looks like it could be good for coffee and musicians, and a nice-ish study area. However, that’s not what we came there for. The bubble tea was the worst I’ve ever had. You actually have to pay EXTRA for the tapioca balls, which are one of the primary ingredients. That’s like ordering a cheeseburger listed on the menu, but then being charged an extra dollar to have t When you say«bubble tea,» one of two things should happen: 1) The person making it asks if you want the tapioca balls, which are extra(I found out after the fact), or, preferably, 2) The person making it puts in the tapioca balls, because that’s how bubble tea is made. Also, they don’t have plain tea, instead of milk tea. Also also, they don’t have milk tea, just non-dairy. Literally everything about their bubble tea — with the exception of the container and the straws — is fundamentally wrong. In addition, the artwork we saw is just plain awful. I like supporting local artists, but these today were not worth displaying or selling.

My sister and I visited the dreamer and loved it! Their Carmel latte was so good that I got a second on my way out. One thing that does bother me is that the artwork they have on display right now has some nudity, and I don’t know that I could bring my younger brother here because of that.

Great coffee house and I love that they have bubble tea! Bubble tea is the best! The workers are super nice and helpful in suggestions for you if you’re stumped. I love how open and light it is in the shop and not all dark and stuffy like kaya.

New coffee place in town with a very unique atmosphere! Rather than your typical grab-and-go coffee places, Dreamer is more focused on sitting out, meeting up with people, and chatting while you enjoy your coffee, bubble tea, and/or baked goods. The shop itself is a little bare, but understandable, since it’s fairly new. I like to think of this place as more of a coffee house, since it’s more social oriented. I myself am not a coffee fan; however, I love bubble tea. Before this place opened, I would have to drive to Lansing to get bubble tea… There is bubble tea at Hunan House(local American Chinese restaurant), but it’s pretty gross there… Having actual bubble tea in Mount Pleasant is one thing, but it blows past expectations by being GOOD. I’m told that their recipes are completely home made. It gives a nice personal touch. As for everything else, it may be on the pricey side, but everything is brought in as local as possible. Definitely going to be frequenting this place! Can’t wait to see what they have in store for the future!
