I decided to choose this Super 8 hotel based on the awesome Tripadvisor reviews which I have come to learn must be fake because there is nothing good about this hotel except for how easy my check in went. The bed was so hard that I may as well have«slept» on the floor. And I say«slept» because I didn’t end up sleeping at all. We ended up leaving in the wee hours in the morning. There’s no bathtub, the wi-fi was so slow we couldn’t use it, the remote hardly worked, the smell in the room was awful, there were stains all over the rug and bedding and hair all over the bathroom. I can’t believe we paid $ 85 to stay in this dump and thought we’d be getting a good night sleep. Next time we’re back in the area, we’ll be staying at HGI where we know brand standards mean something. Super 8, never again in my life.

I was traveling on a multi state Road trip over 800miles in length. As a weary traveler I gave this place a chance and was pleasantly suprised. It was clean, cozy and the other guests I encountered were friendly too. Room was a little noisy as outside my window was major highway. Honestly I didn’t mind it because I liked watching the cars go by and as far as noise keeping me awake. No I was beat from traveling and slept soundly. Breakfast in the morning was enough to do the trick. When checking out the woman at the desk a manager I belive was kind, cheerful and happy that my stay was satisfactory. Thanks gr. Also as I stated being a weary traveler I throughly did a bed bug check. I traveled here in April 2014 and found none. Yay. Would come back if I was in area.

All I was looking for was a clean place to sleep for the night and that’s what I got. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and I got room on an upper floor all the way in the corner. Oh and I need to mention the room was a very spacious and had a huge king size bed. This was an outstanding value for a little more than 80.00. Thumbs up!

I know what you’re thinking: how could a Super 8 get a 5-star review? Maybe my expectations were low, maybe this place is awesome, or maybe it’s both. In any case, for $ 86(with AAA discount) a night for a comfy, modern king-sized bed, free breakfast, and exceptional service, I have to award this hotel a high rating. The front desk clerk was so friendly when we arrived at 10pm and the clerk in the morning was also chipper. They only had smoking rooms left, but we barely noticed any smell in our room, just in the hallway. In addition, they have a waffle maker, which was simply fantastic for the novelty factor.

I gave 2 stars for a couple of reasons mainly because of one front desk clerk(please read entire review and make your own choice). This lady most enjoy being unacommidating or the power over people I’m not sure. Because my situation was I was waiting on a rental car company for their pick up which was scheduled for 10−11AM, and I guess something happened with the vehicle because they had to move it for later. So I called down to the front desk to ask for a later check out and in the middle of trying to explain what was going on I was rudely interrupted and basically told I had to get out of the room now but I’m welcome to wait in the lobby or pay $ 40(the half day rate) and I feel like people are getting away from going out if their way for other people. I feel like she could have said well normally out policy is such and such but let me check with my manager and see if there is something we can do or anything but just tell me $ 40 bucks or get out. So I almost decided to pay the $ 40 and was about to get in the shower and I should have just stayed and showered but I decided it would be polite and let them know of my intentions and upon doing this was told I had to come down and pay right now! So that made up my mind for me I wasn’t going to give another $ 40. I mean they had my credit card on file again not willing to go out of their way for a guest. So I got my stuff together and left the room only to come down stairs and see nobody at the counter except this girl clicking away on Facebook! It was just very disappointing and turned me off on my whole experience. Now on to the rest… So the rooms were pretty clean and a nice size, the bed was moderately comfortable, the sheets were clean and not a bad room for the price. There is no indoor pool, the refrigerator was broken which it sounded like it was running but in the morning my cold items were ruined. The bathroom was clean and not bad. The breakfast is rather meager, there’s a waffle iron, frosted flakes and rasin bran, toast, Apple and orange juice and coffee and tea. My overall thoughts are in a pinch and it’s late and you don’t want to waste time looking around not a bad place but aside from the front desk girl and not having her as a factor I think if you searched a bit you could find a much better deal.

I never thought I would be writing a review for Super 8 — especially one right off the Jersey Turnpike. But, wow. I must say I was impressed! We stayed on a Saturday night and had a room with two queen beds for $ 71($ 81 with tax, etc.). Our room was surprisingly modern and spacious, clean and quiet and the bed super comfy. We got in late and left early so only spent about 6 hours there mostly sleeping, so can’t testify to much else. Breakfast was included, but we left too early to partake. Like someone else said, there is DD down the road and we stopped there. I must say that the night manager, Jim, was incredible. So nice and gracious, just went out of his way. We saw him on the way in and the way out and he was always very professional and friendly. Who knew that Super 8 was part of Wyndham? Anyway, I guess my Wyndham number had expired, so overnight Jim signed me back up and slipped the info under our door. Above and beyond. Don’t be afraid to stay here!

I’ve never stayed at a Super 8 before because of the bad reputation they have, but this hotel blew me away. Our room was so spacious, beautifully painted and decorated, and most importantly CLEAN! This was our last hotel of our road trip along the East Coast and it was the nicest(and cheapest). For $ 60 we got a king size room with a nice bathroom. The lobby was a bit humid and not impressive, so we were pleasantly surprised to get upstairs to our room. Our room did have a lovely view of the Turnpike, but surprisingly was not loud at all. Even in the morning when we were waking up you couldn’t hear anything. I would stay here again and again!

For $ 60 a night, we were pleasantly surprised at how nice this place was. The room was huge! It had recently been renovated and had new, modern furniture and finishes. Big flatscreen TV. The bathroom was a good size but didn’t have a bathtub, just a really long shower. It was weird, but the water was hot and the shower head had different settings, so whatevs. Free breakfast in the morning was disappointing, but isn’t it usually? There is a Dunkin Donuts down the street anyways. Easy on and off the highway, too, so it was convenient for us as travelers just passing through.
