Iv gotta say that I’m addicted to the chicken here… but the place is filthy and the people working here could be a bit more polite and upbeat they seem as if we r forcing them to do work… a smile and a thank you could go along way. I would never ever go inside again… thank you for the drive thru option.

After reading all of the bad reviews, I had to comment on all of them since I too was a victim of the poor service and unprofessional staff today. Every single bad review for this location has a common theme — WEALLWANTTHEMANAGEMENTTOREADTHESEREVIEWSANDDOSOMETHINGABOUTTHEM! HOWABOUTEMAILING OR sending a letter/calling: Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, Inc. 400 Perimeter Center Terraces, Suite 1000 Atlanta, GA30346 404−459−4450 ITISOBVIOUSTHATTHECORPORATEOFFICEDOESNOTREADOURCOMPLAINTSORTHEYJUSTDON’T CAREABOUTTHEIRCUSTOMERS!!! I waited over 30 minutes for my food. Unacceptable! Also, beware of the sales tax they are charging. With the recent State of Illinois Sales tax increase(1% in most areas), they are overcharging .25% for some reason. The correct food and use tax rate for Morton Grove(non-business district) is 11.25% now, but they are charging 11.50%.

Poor service. The staff are disorganized making the waiting time longer. The manager helps in getting orders, so was handling money & shifts to preparing orders & never wears any gloves. The wait time for order = 20 minutes! Best part… The staff started arguing.

Seems pretty clear that management is definitely NOT reading these reviews lol, but when I went a few weeks ago for some lunch it came out promptly and was good. My biggest complaint is with the building/drive-thru. I realize it’s probably 20+ years old, but, guys, you’re across the street from an Audi dealership and kiddie-corner from a Mariano’s… it’s very off-putting to have my food delivered to me on the plexiglass lazy susan. Get rid of the old crime-prevention measures and maybe update the parking lot and drive-thru to be easier to navigate, and you might increase your business.

I am surprised to read all the reviews about lazy staff. On the day that I went(a Wednesday evening), the 3 workers in the front were constantly taking and filling orders. It seemed like one person was responsible for the drive-through orders, and the other two for the front counter. There were at least 3 people in the back cooking the food. I didn’t see anyone chatting or just hanging around. No one was rude to me, but a little eye contact and«I’ll be right with you» would have been helpful. So many customers were waiting near the cash register, but I couldn’t tell who was waiting to order and who was just waiting for their food. I would love to get into their kitchen and see what’s really going on. A fast food place like this should not have such a long wait, even in the dinner rush. The parking lot is really tight, but there’s nothing that the staff could do about that one. It’s almost impossible legally to get into that lot when driving Westbound on Golf. Once we got past the parking lot, the ordering process, and the waiting, the fried chicken was pretty good. We ordered both regular and spicy chicken and everyone was satisfied.

I really hope that management is reading these reviews to see who they hired to run their business. Until they hire new staff, I will not frequent this location. Every time I come to this location which is at least once a month, there’s a problem. To add insult to injury, the staff do not apologize for their screw-ups. They are rude and act as if they’re doing you a favor for screwing up. At 7p.m., the wait for chicken should not be over 30 minutes. The staff should not expect a customer to be happy after they waited 30+ minutes for their order with a hungry child in tow to then be told that it would be an additional 8 minutes because they secretly gave away their order to a drive thru customer(as you’re standing in the front observing the whole transaction transpire) because they were holding up the drive thru line causing it not to move. Management you should definitely invest in secret shoppers, because I’m sure that it’s more customer that you’re losing like me because of the people you hire. All of them on the night shift should be fired and you should hire people who actually want and need their job.

Wanted a family treat(1:15pm) — pick up an early dinner. My niece was in the car with me. Trying to place the order through the jacked up speaker system was an epic fail. What was worse is having the person on the other end actually yell at me(he was pissed off) because I couldn’t hear his question. After yelling, his tone changed to great frustration and told me to drive to the window. I drove right on past that window and kept going. My niece said, «I was pretty sure he was going to spit in our food from the get-go». Popeyes, if you are going through the expense of decorating the place recently, please get a new speaker system, and you may want to rethink some of the employees.

Terrible staff. Long wait times. Dirty bathrooms with no paper towels. Scared to see what the back of the house looks like but those spicy chicken tenders are BOMB! Pair it with blacken ranch dipping sauce and you’ve got a knock out combo. Despite all the issues at this location, I still find myself coming back for the spicy chicken tenders. It’s a guilty pleasure I can’t resist.

Terrible customer service! Very rude staff. Closes the doors 1 hour before closing. Drive thru was the worst thing I’ve ever experienced at a fast food establishment. They rush you and tell you basically there out of things hoping you leave. Also wait time for the drive thru is 40 mins ??? I’d rather spend my money elsewhere. So much for a quick meal. I drove off.

Longest wait ever for food consistently forget in my food that I pay for love when you pull up to the drive-through and you sit there and no one ever responds and then they think you got your order but they got ur order but umm nope that’s the wrong order ignorant ass staff whoever the manager is ignorant to and they like to be ignorant to their customers… When I tried to call the store to complain about them forgetting part of my order they put their phone off the hook because I called too many times that’s nice right real professional… Went there just recently and some lady had the nerve to order enough chicken that I had to wait 35mins almost to get my order because they had to cook all chicken because she was ignorant enough to buy all the damn chicken and then complain ummm no you just made us all wait and let me add it was a Tuesday too!!!

This is actually ZERO stars! Ordered a 10 piece chicken strip box, good thing I checked before I left, received 9 in the box. was suppose to get 4 dipping sauces, got only 2. Went back in to complain and got an attitude from the guy at the register! The container with the cajun rice was only ¾ full. Also the food was barely warm when we got home. Love their chicken but try to find a better location. The employees at this location need better management or should find employment elsewhere. Where is Undercover boss when you need them!

ZERO star. Very poor customer service. Lazy staff. Even if they see a long line the staff has no urgency at all to move faster. Compare this to Popeyes in palatine they always have chicken available and the service is fast. I hope the owner re bump his staff and teach his staff of proper customer service. Somebody needs to open up another Popeyes around this area with better service and I bet you it’s gonna make money.

I normally hate to give bad reviews(if you can’t say something nice, etc). But this has eaten at me for long enough. This was probably some time last year. Someone told me there was a Popeye’s on Golf. I was kinda stoked because I’d not been since I lived in the city over 10 years ago. However, my experience with this place was the worst one ever. I went through the drive through, thinking it would just be a simple order. The lady taking my order was rather abrupt, but figured she was just busy. When I misunderstood something on the menu, she was downright rude. Then she asked me to hold on. I was holding on for over five minutes. The guy behind me was beeping at me. I finally asked«Is anyone there?» Her voice came over the intercom, «Oh, you’re still there.» I was so livid, and so disappointed. I don’t know if it was exactly at this point or some other point shortly after, but I finally said to forget it and cancel my order. I ended up going to the KFC on Dempster. Much more friendly and easier to deal with. I’ve had nothing good to say about this place ever since. Would never, ever recommend it. Not the chain itself — just this particular location.

I had a positive outlook coming into this place however it quickly turned. It’s very dirty and the customer service put ed debevic“s and winner circle to shame no recipt back however I looked at my cell after I ordered and a whopping 25 min for my order which was interesting as 3 people that worked there all got there order sat down and ate and I still didn’t get mine yet. Usally other places will give u a free side or some extra chicken and apologize not here one of the guys handed me my bag and said see ya… I am not recommending this place to others or going back.

Terrible service for drive through. The intercoms is barely working, and then they ways make us wait at least 5 min. They make you pull into a dangerous spot next to the busy road. It’s ridiculous. The food is really good though.

They offer a box for 5 bucks with 2 sides and I went and got only 1 side! Guy at drive thru never asked me if I wanted another side! They don’t care here so go somewhere else like Mariano’s across the street they have better ckn anyway!!!

This Popeyes is a joke! They get my order right, but only because they take one order at a time. Horribly inefficient! If they were smart they would take the orders right away so they can at least get the food started instead of having you wait until they finish one order to start the next one!

Popeye’s chicken is awesome but holy hell does this location suck. You are always going to end up waiting minutes for your food no matter what you order and whether there’s a line or not(in your car no less — drive to the front and wait bs). I’ve been overcharged before, given the wrong order, and I swear that every time I’ve ordered a chicken wrap(which they don’t seem to have anymore), not a single employee here knows how to properly wrap it. Pull it out of the paper and it just falls apart. Come onnnn. I imagine upper management would have a field day with this place if they knew how it was operating.

Love me some Popeye’s Chicken. I saw this a year or so ago on Undercover Boss. They didn’t visit this location but should have. I think sometimes they try to be nice and courteous, at least as best as they can, but they are SLOW, SLOW, SLOW. Drive Through — Forget about it! Dine in? It is not a clean store by any means Carry out? you have to always wait forever! Forever!!! It is not that the service is slow, because it really is. The employees move like molasses too. They can be pleasant enough. Often apologize for delays. They never have enough chicken or whatever made. They claim it is because it is dinner time? Ummm HELLO… Its a Wednesday dinner –and I would like some Chicken. Between KFC and Popeyes, I prefer Popeyes, but with the construction, their very very dated facility, and the grueling service… I will pass. Its a shame. Been to so many better ones…
