Not suprised they folded in under a year. Like the Park Ridge location, this was managed like shit. No real managers. Too many employees doing nothing. Horsing around in the kitchen. Texting. Doing nothing. Meanwhile, rotten spring mix, slimy carrots, and red peppers that were sliced 3 days ago. Salad bar person too dumb or too lazy to rotate product. Thats what a manager is supposed to do. Make sure people do their jobs. Love the salad bar concept but this company’ s hiring and execution is horrible. Writing was on the wall. I own 2 successful and profitable restaurant operations and there wasnt an employee here that i would have hired for the exception of one kid. Its too bad. Its a good spot.

Wait, did Jason’s Deli turn into a 5-star restaurant when I wasn’t looking? I haven’t been to JD since living in TN over a decade ago. But, since this place recently opened on my way home from work, I’ve stopped for lunch a few times. This is not the JD of my childhood. This particular location is run like a fine dining establishment. Each time I’ve visited, here’s what I’ve experienced: –an IMMACULATELY clean restaurant that looks brand new –a salad bar that looks like it hasn’t been touch, I see staff tend to it every few minutes –a very large selection of all organic products –a kind, attentive staff who make the rounds to tables, bringing customers anything they need –really delicious food, especially the salad bar(which is probably the best around) and the soups This has become a regular treat to myself – and that’s coming from a major Chicago foodie. The ONLY downside, which isn’t the fault of this location, is that their free ice cream has a really chemical-ridden flavor. It just doesn’t taste like ice cream, and so, much to my disappointment, I never take advantage of it. The rest, though, is totally worth a trip. The managers at this location – and the rest of the staff – deserve medals for their hard work!

This place is great! Better options and better value than Panera. Yesterday I got a deli club sandwich which was spot on. The Southwest Chicken Chili is the bomb. And when I’m on one of my health kicks there’s plenty of choices here. I usually go with a Chicken Club salad which has cheese, bacon, avacados, and grilled chicken and is only like 440 calories. And that’s not even the lighter portion which is something like 290 calories! Free ice cream if your dining in.

I really like fast and tasty breakfast, that is exactly what I got here. Fresh salads and soups, a big choice of sandwiches. My daughter are very excited about the ice-cream. My husband like beef sandwich with mustard. So my family will definitely come back next time.

We love the chain Jason’s Deli. We have been to many different restaurants thru ought Illinois and other states. This new location unfortunately does not live up to the name/chain. They have very young and inexperienced staff. On one visit we heard an employee talking about how sick she was that she couldn’t even swallow. She was the one that brought us our food. On another visit, we were given very cold chicken pot pie. When we brought it back and complained, they literally took the plate and put it in he microwave. It was still luke warm and not very good. Most recently, we went and I literally found a staple in my sandwich. I was chewing and felt something very hard in my mouth. They gave me my meal for free, but that was the last straw. It’s too bad because we were excited about the new location.

We have the muffuletta it had a great taste.(The bread was just perfect!) it came with chips too. After you’re done eating you can have a complimentary ice cream.(Perfectly sweet to go along with my salty sandwich) Absolutely coming back here. Great service and great food.(13 dollars for a meal for two)

I ordered the caprese sandwich. It was fresh and delicious. It comes with a side of Ruffles and those just happen to be my favorite chips. Free ice cream — bonus!

You a 10? On the pH scale maybe because you basic! The first word that comes to mind when thinking of Jason’s Deli is basic. Don’t get me wrong; there is something on this menu to please any palate, but I just don’t get excited about lunching here. On my visit to this new, clean location, I had the Amy’s Turkey-O sandwich since I liked that it includes guacamole, pepperjack cheese, and stone ground mustard. I got baked chips on the side, but wished it came in a single serving bag vs. a handful of chips served on a plate. Guess it’s easier for Jason’s to get the chips in bulk, but sometimes I want to take the chips to go! As you probably know, free ice cream is a draw. There’s also a little station with free crostinis, granola, mini muffins, and various crackers. I wouldn’t have known those guys were free, but one of the employees shared that. I also like that the menu available online shows you the calorie count. When you go to the cashier to order, there isn’t really a menu board posted, though there are printed copies of the menu nearby, so you can check out all your options. With the freebies mentioned above, you should be able to leave full!

This place makes some good sandwiches. I had their turkey Club which comes on a croissant. The sandwich was pretty standard for the price. They also make their own blueberry Gatorade like drink which is pretty good but contains a ton of surgar. Their menu is pretty straightforward. A good place to visit if you’re looking for a quick lunch. They also give out free ice cream which is HUGE +! Who does that? This place is worth checking out if you’d like a speedy lunch.

Jason’s has done a great job since opening, staff is always friendly and accommodating! The food is healthy, yummy, and fresh. There is something on the menu for everyone and their complimentary granola/bread/nuts bar is yummy. Plus, free ice cream makes everything taste better!

Jason’s has a great selection of soups and the salad bar is great. The salad bar is nice because they charge you a flat rate not by weight. Friendly staff and quick service is good. Finally the free soft serve ice cream is nice.

I’m including Jason’s Deli in my Best Corned Beef list. I’ve had the traditional corned beef sandwich on rye bread with yellow mustard and the monstrous New York Yankee which is a ¾ pound of hot corned beef and pastrami with swiss cheese on toasted rye bread. Both are real winners in my book. The only place to get a better corned beef sandwich would be a ‘real’ deli and not a chain. Large menu with salads, a huge salad bar, pasta dishes, baked potatoes, club sandwiches, wraps, soups chili, muffaletta’s, half sammie half soup specials, vegetarian and ‘build your own sammies. Kids menu too. They open at 10 am which I like so I can beat the crowds. Very clean and friendly. Plenty of parking since it’s located in front of a Mariano’s grocery store. A big plus here is the FREE ice cream!

Yep, I’m a huge fan of Jason’s Deli! Healthy fast food and something for everyone in my family, including two super picky eater kids and a vegetarian hubby — score! We’ve passed by this place a couple of times, and with it being new to the area we decided to show our support this evening. Jason’s is located in the Mariano’s complex. For a quick tip, if you’re coming from the North on Waukegan, enter via Waugekan. If you drive past and make a left going east on Golf Road, you can’t turn left again for awhile and will need to find a way to turn around. After we turned around and finally made it into the lot, we parked and noticed two entrances. One entrance specifically for pick up orders, and the other for the restaurant. We’ll have to place an order for pick up one of these days, since they seem to take this side of the business pretty seriously. As soon as we entered, we were handed a menu to look at. I knew it was going to get complicated with so many wonderful options, so I highly encourage anyone in a hurry to check out the menu online and be ready to go. Thankfully it was pretty quiet in here when we stopped in, so we had time to make our decisions. Once we got up to the register to order it started getting a little busy and backed up. It was a bit slow going here, but I’m pretty sure it’s because this stop is new and everyone is still learning the menu and protocol. Though the kid’s menu is for ages up to 12, I have hungry nine year old boys and ordered from the regular menu. I ordered them full build-your-own sandwiches, and they could barely finish the second half. Their sandwiches came with a deli pickle and chips. I ordered corned beef on rye with mustard, and it was piled high with meat. I still prefer a classic corned beef sandwich from a classic Jewish deli, but I was not disappointed. Great value. My hubby got a really fresh veggie wrap with a side of steamed veggies. He was extremely happy and said the veggies did not taste frozen. The wrap was on the lighter side, but plenty for his appetite. Large salad bar, and cafeteria-style dining style. Reminded me of my Ponderosa days growing up, only deli style. No trans fats or corn syrup in their food. Here’s the bonus… free self-serve ice cream for diners! Need I say more?

Very nice staff over here. At first I was stumped with what appeared to be a lack of choices on the menu, but then the nice cashier lady presented with their actual menu which was full of very tempting choices. The papa Joe sandwich I got was on point and I will definitely be having that again, after I try some more of their menu. Again awesome staff, due to the fact that they reminded me of their free ice cream machine. Free ice cream for the win.

Great lunch. I had the managers special(corned beef, onion soup, side salad, and a drink. Sandwich awesome stacked hi with meat, salad bar was fresh and extensive, had everything. Soup was perfect not too salty. And the ice cream was over the TOP. Smooth Creamy and no high fructose. Beautiful Deli. Clean well organized and a great hospitable staff. Smiles all around from the hostel to the cashier to the server to the table bus girl. This place fantastic!!!

Excellent soups(chicken pot pie!), salads(chicken club salad), sandwiches(chicken panini, anything with pastrami or corned beef) from the menu. Awesome salad bar. Half sandwiches available with soup or fruit. Free self serve soft serve ice cream for all diners(chocolate, vanilla, or swirl — ice cream, not yogurt.) No MSG or high fructose corn syrup in any of their food. So glad there is finally a Jason’s Deli in the neighborhood! Conveniently located near the Glenview Mariano’s.
