This was our first visit to Soul Delicious, and it did not disappoint! The soul food buffet was excellent from the salad bar to the fried chicken, fish, and other meats, and veggies. I had the chocolate frosted layered cake. The cake was not sweet to me. It was like eating chocolate frosted cornbread. All in all the food and service were excellent! I look forward to my next visit!

So I am not a HUGE buffet fan, but after visiting this place over 3 times with a classmate I am sold! I love Soul Delicious… They have a nice variety of soul food that is nicely seasoned. However, I did not care for how the corn bread or rolls were made… just a FYI if you are person big on bread. I have never been to this place in the evening so I am unsure of how the quality of the food is after 3:00 or how crowded it tends to get. They offer student and senior discounts with a valid photo ID and at your request you can ask for their famous peach cobbler.(I have not tried it, but I have heard great things about it). Overall, it is affordable, and great for families or large parties.

Few buffet items. The staff was friendly and some of the food was really good, but I was expecting a much larger buffet selection. The chicken was good, the collards were great, the Mac and cheese was ok, and the Lima beans and rice were good. Not sure I would call this soul food though.

Not impressed. Though when we walked in we heard an awesome live band. But not feeling the food. It was just okay. The biggest problem I would say was that some of the items weren’t hot. My daughter is pouting so hard that we came here and left our spot at Carrabbas since we didn’t want to wait 45 minutes. I thought for sure it would be okay. But not really.

I absolutely enjoyed everything. My favorite was the tuna salad. The baked spaghetti, rice and gravy, collards, fried chicken, green beans, potato salad and mac and cheese were all very good. I will be back.

I’m not sure why this restaurant was given 5 stars because it’s far from deserving. They run out of silverware and will literally come by your table asking if your done with it. They run out of meats and you are always waiting for them to bring more chicken or fish. It’s like they cook a few pieces to see what’s happening first so you always end up waiting. I do enjoy the Sunday gospel live band but if your going to have entertainment please keep plenty of food and dinnerware. These are some of the very obvious and easily fixed issues with this restaurant that if they address this issue would make them a 4 star.

You can not even rate this place, food burned and tasteless. The cooks act as if they have attitudes when you ask question because you’re not sure what you eating. A complete waste of money and time.

Excellent service and excellent food. This is a nice soul food place to eat. The vegetables are cooked with no meats, and they were very tasty. I went with the baked chicken and fried chicken. Collards and black eye peas. I also went back for seconds on the potatoe salad, taste just like home. Oh yeh the sweet potatoes were like eating at Thanksgiving. I believe I found a new spot..

Sunday’s are the best day to go. I have been on a Saturday one time but the food didn’t taste as fresh.(Only Complaint) it was so delicious today. I was disappointed that the smothered pork chops turned into baked pork chops, nasty! The greens were great, but cut back the sugar. They had neck bones, turkey necks, fried chicken, baked chicken, meatloaf, fried fish, turkey wings. The macaroni has come along way too. Praise Da Lawd!

Outstanding. 8.50 for lunch and $ 1 for a drink? Seriously. The food is very very very good. Seasoned nicely and nothing is to be missed. I normally associate soul cooking with sugar but none of the food here has it which makes for one of the best meals ever. I tried a little of everything and this leads to the old saying. Quality not quantity, plenty to choose from still though. Dressing was the best I’ve eaten ever. What a gem. You won’t be disappointed

I’ve been here three times and I must say that I am not impressed. I say 2.5 Stars. Each time we were greeted properly and had good service. I didn’t care for the fact that you had to know that they had cobbler in the back and that you had to know to ask for Fried Fish because these items were not on the buffet. I did not like any of the cakes out on the buffet either and most important part is that the food is hit or miss here. The best thing I had each time was the spaghetti bake/casserole. It deserves a 4.5 Star all on its own. My friend said the Collard Greens were great, but I don’t eat pork so I did not try any of the veggies that could be cooked with meat. But the rest of the food can be Excellent, like the Fried Chicken and Mac N’ Cheese were the first time I went and then you come back a week later and the same items are horrible. Or you can get a good batch of food the first time you go to the buffet and go back for plate 2 or 3 plate and all of a sudden it’s like you are in a totally different restaurant. My co-workers experience has been varied as well. It’s been about 6 months since my last visit, so I am going to give them one more try. I’ll let you all know what I think after that visit.

It was decent. It’s like when thanksgiving is over, and you have enough to create a buffet.

I came here at the insistence of soul food lovers I know. It’s in a strip mall plaza and I would have missed if I wasn’t looking. First of all, on Sunday’s from 2:30pm to closing they have live music and the ladies performing were kickin. Mostly gospel music and they sang Happy Birthday to a guest. Second thing. The place is PACKED. There were at least two hundred people eating Sunday brunch when I went which meant very long lines to actually get food from the Buffett which is inconveniently placed just off the front door and towards the back. The food however was amazing. Perfectly seasoned, abundant, and cooked well. With the wait and they never ran out of anything — a feat in itself considering how packed it was.

This is not a place I would recommend. We had been recommended to go there by folks who made it in and enjoyed the food. However, the day that we went the door was locked at 11:30AM. A young gentleman that was cleaning the windows unlocked the door to clean it and said we open between 12 and 12:30. I said, «Even though the sign behind you says 11AM.»(while pointing at it). He said, «Yes.» I advised him that he should inform the owners that this not the way to run a business. We drove from Atlanta to this place, and I’ll likely never give them a chance after that disappointing example of how they operate. If they are that lax on opening, I can only imagine how poorly they run the back of the house.

Miss Susie Kelly(sp?) has an amazing restaurant. Delicious soul food! The place was packed at 3PM. Loved everything: fried chicken, Black Eyed Peas, collard greens, and lima beans. Fried chicken, catfish and okra. Finished with homemade peach cobbler, which you have to ask for. Ah-mazing! MUSTGO, and bring your friends!

Prompt polite service. Food was very tasty, I ate here at lunch so the options were pretty limited but everything I had was yummy. I will eat here again.

I made a spontaneous decision to meet a friend here for lunch. The concept of a «soul-food» buffet was intriguing, and we were not disappointed. The food was freshly made, and it was delicious. There is a good variety on the menu, and we found it to be an excellent value. You actually pay on your way in. I should have asked if tips were included up-front, because I forgot to leave a tip on the way out, thinking the«pay first» part took care of that. For our entry fee, we treated ourselves to collards, corn bread, mac & cheese, four different chicken preparations, pork chops, fried fish, beans, ham, and a variety of other vegetables and meats that I’m forgetting. We enjoyed our feast. If, like me, your uniform is jeans and a t-shirt, you will be sorely underdressed if you arrive here after church on a Sunday. But don’t let that stop you from checking it out. Holler if you want some company.

So is Easter Sunday, and refusing to cook. I wanted a Sunday dinner. So I went to help to see what I could find. I cam across Soul Delicious. Only 1 review. Decided to give them a try. For starters. Service: the strangest thing happen. This place you pay first. My sister paid for her and her family. The lady(manager) took her money and told her to go have a seat she would bring her change to her about $ 45.00. So we sit down everyone was starting to eat. The kids had ribs and was making a mess. We didn’t see napkins anywhere. The waiter came to take our drink order. I ask for napkins before I placed mines. He stated«I’m doing drink orders not napkins right now». A little taken back. I gave him my drink order Next: Everyone seem to enjoyed the foods. It was ok for soul food. My home cooking is much better. My nephew showed me his ribs where not done. So that was a star lost. Grand Finale: My sister still haven’t gotten her change back. So she goes back up front to see what was going on. So she is taking longer than what it should have taken, I proceed to get up to see what’s the problem. Here comes the rude waiter say«y’all not going to leave me a tip» Really? really? In all my years of dinning out I have always left a tip. So when I get to the front to see what was going on. The manager was gone, no one could verify that she still owe my sister her change, they where trying to call her and she wasn’t answering her phone. Eventually they gave her change to her and a free meal to come back. So that the only reason I’m going back. Btw the waiter did receive a tip.
