Skyboxx Restaurant and Sports Bar

No stars. We arrived today 1÷24÷16 to watch the football game, there was a big sign that said «seat yourself» plenty of seats but not clean. The tables had everyone’s else’s trash, leftover food and beers at the table. We tried to ask three waitresses to clean it up for us and they ignored us. The location wasn’t even busy. Thanks a lot for a bad experience. Needless to say we left. Never going there again

First time here. The menu is not very extensive but did enjoy the chicken and waffles which is on of their signature entrees. Drink prices are a little high for the drinks.
Also they automatically include the waitress tip into your bill which I found a little discouraging. My bill came to 80 bucks because she felt that she deserves 15 bucks as a tip which I felt was a little to much for the kind of service we received.
Will return just for the chicken and waffles but not often.

This spot deserves less than 0 stars, it’s absolutely horrible!
Once seated, it took about 15 – 20 mins before we were acknowledged. Another 15 minutes for water to be brought to the table. Our waitress was very inattentive.
2 people at our table order baked turkey legs and they were absolutely horrible! The manager was kind enough to allow us to exchange one meal and the other received 50% off (didn’t want to try anything else). One of us had the burger and it was just okay. I had the fish sandwich and it was tolerable. The waitress never got better.
To wrap this horrible experience up, the bathrooms were GROSS and had no toilet paper or paper towels.

Went to the sky box with a couple of friends to watch the NFL games and it was a horrible experience. Staff was rude when you got their attention. Food was mediocre at best. Beers were warm and the mixed drinks were quite weak. Life is to short to experience what we experience at this restaurant.

This place is terrible, terrible, terrible. Everything from the service to the food, to the drinks and the atmosphere. The staff is slow and would rather talk to each other than help the customers. Unfortunately the staff and the majority of the customers are both from the same Ghetto place. As Crystal Q said it looks nice from the outside but all the niceness will fade once you go inside.

My husband and I went because it looks nice from the outside so we wanted to see what it was about. Well needless to say we never got service. The bartender was looking at us but never came, I’m sure we weren’t her table but there were absolutely no other employees to be found. We walked out and never went back. horrible first impression.

This place is HORRIBLE! Ghetto is the word that comes to mind! I’m not sure if this place is under new Management and/​or on a tight budget but this is not the place I remember when it first opened. The servers were all sitting outside together eating, drinking and just hanging out like it was their happy hour. The food was overcooked and tasted so awful that I had to send it back. When the waitress came back with a new plate it was no better!

The venue is split, one side sports bar the other club atmosphere. On the club side, drinks are like 2 times the regular price listed on the website. The ladies restroom was filthy to the point I reported it to management. Recommended they stick to being a sports bar versus a club.

The service at this place is horrible. If there is less than 1 star it doesn’t even deserve that. I sat at the bar and ordered food and it took the bartender 23 mins to tell me they are out of chicken Masala. After I place another order I waited another 50mins to get the food. The food was awful. Horrible.Horrible.Horrible.Horrible.Horrible. Service I’m surprised they stl in business.
Whoever owns this business should be reading these reviews. Don’t West your time stoping by at this place… Go to the Arby’s or chillis next door u will get better food or service.

My wife & I went there 2 eat @around 9−10ish… ended up waiting over an hour while other people were going in & being seated (larger parties). We were told that at certain tables they couldn’t seat just two people. But from where I stood, I clearly saw one of those tables where 2 females were sitting. I’m laid back, but my wife, at times, is NOT. She gave that manager the business! He offered to pay for a meal & a drink if/​when we go back, but you know we never went back!

The waitresses were trying to dress like hooters girls, but did not pull it off nearly as well, in fact some should not even be wearing the outfit, if you catch my drift. Service was extremely slow for barely having any customers. Table was dirty when we were seated. Plate and glass were dirty when we got them and food was room temperature.

Really unaccomodating for large parties. We came for an engament party and while the server tried to help, it was simply too much for her. One order never came out and the restrooms were attended. While I don’t mind that, it was a surprise and i had no cash.
The chicken and waffles were amazing and delicious. The manager seemed to really be trying but the systems were just not in place.
The bar tenders were great and the beer was average price for a pitcher.

If there was a –3stars i would post that. My friends and I waited for 30min before the waitress gave us menus. There were 8 of us and when all the food came out my order did not. I asked about it and was told it was on its way out. 30min later and it still isnt here and all my friends are done eating.
My friend ordered a dos equis beer and it tasted like watered down colored water.
Terrible service. Do NOT go here.

I am sitting here, waiting for service, with a party of seven. We have been waiting for 44 minutes since we have been seated, and we’re waiting around for half an hour prior — there were no employees to be seen despite the relatively full lounge.
I am going up to the person who appears to be the manager and inform him I’m running over to chili’s to grab takeout and come back. I’m sure it’ll be faster and more efficient than waiting for service here.
Astounding.

While not a bad spot for the under 40 crowd I found it was more like a Hooters or night club. It was 630pm when I decided to go not bad but it was empty and no tv’s on. After asking they are out for some reason or another. My opinion is that they are catering the clientele that needs to be seen somewhere, not one who what’s a good burger and a drink. Not a bad spot but not my kind of spot.

Dive, local hang out, get a quick drink and some wings and walk out. Chickrn and waffles the bomb and they do have drink specials, like $ 4 long islands. But our waitress is uck! Slow and unintentive. There is a club on the other side. But they need to get better!

Service sucks! You would think that your salary is based off of tips you would check back on your guest instead of socializing with their co workers. This place is horrible I’m surprise they are still open.

The best hang out spot on a Friday night on the southside, we had a great time with there live band!

This place is racially biased or the people working there are. I have been on three occasions. These occurred last year so hopefully management and staff have been replaced. Here is my story:
The first time I visited this location the service was terrible. However, it had just opened so I figured it might just be they were working out kinks. I was waited on after several other tables who sat down after me (I’m white, the entire staff was black and so we’re the tables that sat down after me). The waitress never came back to check on me except to bring my food and check.
The second time I came with two friends, all the of us are white. We waited for 20 minutes and were never even waited on. The staff was not engaged in the least. They stood around talked to each other and never acknowledged us. We ended up leaving.
Being a forgiving guy, I decided to give it another try. When I walked in, it was about 530pm. My first issue was with half the restaurant being closed down and turned into a dance club. I have no issues with that except it was 530… and the music was very graphic and extremely loud. Again, I had the same exact problem only this time I had confirmation that this place or the staff were racist. When I received my check it clearly stated «whte plaid t» My shirt was a blue plaid button up with no white in it. So they profiled me because of my race. Terrible service again. I will post the picture off the receipt.
Food was typical and you could get it at any Chilis, Outback, or chain restaurant.
Overall, if you don’t «belong», don’t even bother going.

It is imperative that you know your Fifth Amendment rights. I will try not to make this too lengthy, but here’s what happened at the Skyboxx.
I drove into the parking lot of the Skyboxx sports bar and got out of my car. A police officer «hired as security» stepped out of his vehicle and approached me.
Officer McGee: I just saw you urinating outside of your vehicle.
Me: I doubt that I urinated since I just got out of my car.
Officer McGee: Are you saying I didn’t see you urinate?
Me: I am not accusing you of watching someone urinate, but I can guarantee it was not me.
Officer McGee: So are you saying I am a liar. I just saw you urinate.
Me: I know for a fact you didn’t, do you have video proof? Do you have audio proof to support your accusation?
Officer McGee: I know what I saw and you violated the law.
Me: AM I FREE TO GO?
Officer McGee: Yeah, yeah you can go. You and people like you violate the law all the time. If you don’t like the law you can move out of the county. I’m tired of this sh*t.
Officer McGee retreated back to his vehicle.
I walked inside of bar and ordered food, minded my business and left.
AM I FREE TO GO?
