Like somebody else who mentioned it here, problems started after we left. The office folks are friendly, very prompt in maintenance, have regular social events and such. However, beware when you leave. We had one sticker that said«Yay» that I left on one of the kitchen cabinet. BOOM! $ 160 to replace it. We have some wax dropped on one portion of the carpet. I am sure any professional worth his salt could have removed it. We had pictures taken and I didn’t see any reason for it to be a nasty stain. $ 360 for replacing the carpet. These guys are ridiculous. They will then«do you a favor» and give you a 20% discount if you pay in full. I wouldn’t recommend this place purely because of the attitude of the management company based out of Richmond. If you take up the complaints to the office folks here, they will pretend like they have nothing to do with it and ask you to deal with the Richmond folks. The Richmond folks would recommend dealing with the office folks. Tired of the extortion, one would just pay up and leave. I have lived in 4 apartments prior to this and never had to pay for cleanup or any damages.

We started our lease in August 2015, after my wife fell in love with this place. The apartments are nicely laid out, and the fixtures and flooring are certainly above average quality. Location is absolutely fantastic, walking distance to the great restaurants and movie theater, not to mention all the shops and the Earth Fare supermarket. A couple of concerns that should be noted. The experience you have living here seems to be highly dependent on your neighbors. We have a withered and stern looking middle aged woman living just below us with two small inbred dogs that never stop barking. Our upstairs neighbors tromp around like baby elephants. We recognize this is all part of life in an apartment building and have been fairly tolerant. Our neighbors, on the other hand, despite living in «glass houses» themselves, have taken to complaining about our two young sons who are just 5 and 7 years of age… After we had only been there for two days, and the movers had not arrived with furniture and toys! So, yes they played and ran across the floor — which they don’t seem to do now that their stuff is here and we have furniture in the place. Imagine that! So far, the management has been dutifully reporting every complaint that comes their way, and this aforementioned miserable and withered old harpy that lives beneath us continues her campaign of reporting every squeak and bump she hears… Despite the fact that her yapping dachshunds wake us(and half the building) up several times every night. To managements credit, they have acknowledged that our neighbors complaints may be over the top and she may be overly sensitive. I am hopeful that this epic saga will come to a close shortly — it seems our arch enemy beneath the stairs will be moving out soon. Let’s hope some normal people move in so our opinion of this otherwise charming apartment complex isn’t tainted by the mental instability of a few intolerant and hypocritical neighbors.

If you are looking for an apartment in a poorly managed complex that overlooks unkept drainage ponds and is perfectly located adjacent to railroad tracks complete with cargo trains that roar past the buildings at all hours of the day and night, thus downing your TV and attempt at slumber, this is definitely the place for you! But, beware, a resident was shot(yes, with a firearm) by an intruder in their apartment on 3−16−15!!!
