A quick lunch stop at Moustache Café impressed! The drab exterior opens up to a more modern, clean space with a hint of color. Laminated menus up front allow you to peruse the menu in line and there’s also a larger version on display. My eyes catch the pomegrante-habanero wings, cha-ching! Order at the counter and $ 11 later it’s time to self-serve my drink and grab a table. The place is already busy before noon time, a testament to Moustache Café’s reputation and food. About 10 — 15 minutes later I get a plate of five plump wings, basmati, green salad and piece of pita. The wings are excellent with some grill marks, tangy glaze and a bit of heat in back. Paired over the tender roasted chicken and you’ve got yourself a great lunch. I’m not in this area often but I’ll try to get back to try a kebab, Moustache Café is located past the left side of the Morrisville Outlet mall in no-man’s land. But it is totally worth the effort…

I totally wish this place was closer to where we live, b/c i would be here all.the.time. Seriously. We first ran across Moustache not too long after it first opened. And we have journeyed back many times, with friends in toe. This is the kind of place that NEVER disappoints when we bring friends… or when it’s just us. The restaurant is in an old Quiznos store, but you would never know it. The décor is fun, with pictures of random men with Moustaches, the greenery on the tables wear moustaches, and there’s a super fun giant metal Moustache(made by the owner!) hanging on the wall. The environment is bright, comfy and a nice place to bring friends and enjoy dinner, or lunch! The options are simple, but the quality and flavors are far from it. First let me start with the appetizers. We have had the eggplant dip(VERYGOOD!), the spinach pie(very different, but good. this is not yo’ mama’s quiche. Spinach, cilantro, garlic, and eggs and we think cherries, mushed together and topped with a nice basil sauce. It’s not something you’d probably think to order, but I recommend it! it’s different and refreshing!) and their Garlic/pepper hummus. Let me pause here for a moment and ask… do you like garlic? If there answer is yes! THENORDERTHIS!!! My husband is NOT a hummus fan, but we seriously cannot get enough of this stuff! Be prepared for hummus with a kick! It’s thick and garlic-y and OOOO so good! When it comes to entrees we’ve tried most of them. When it comes to the kabob you can not go wrong. They’re all amazing a moist. My personal favorites, in this order are(although it’s all really close in ranking) 1. Filet Mignon 2.Ground chuck 3. Pork 4. Lamb 5. Chicken All entrees come with rice and salad. The salad is simple yet fresh and refreshing, and i like the little slice of avacado they put on top with the onions, tomato and house dressing. The rice is simple, but cooked perfectly(light and fluffy and not sticky!) and soaks up the juices from the kabobs and it is . good! You get a choice of Cucumber Yogurt, Shallot Yogurt, Hummus or Cucumber Salad… cucumber yogurt and shallot yogurt are similar to tzatziki sauce, although a little thinner. They are excellent on the meat, bread, or piled up into a mean gyro, but honestly the meat is sooooo tender and seasoned so well, you really don’t need them. This past weekend we also tried their pomegranate habanero wings which were really good, and you don’t have to get them overly spicy if you’re a weenie like me, :D We have tried the tres leches cake and the baklava which were both very good! This is one of the few places in the triangle that we are more than happy to travel too. We always go for dinner as we don’t live near by, but i have seen they have lunch specials, so if you’re in the triangle and looking for a good and healthy and SUPERYUMMY! lunch stop on in! The owner/chef Micheal is super nice and has always stopped to talk to us and answer questions. We often see him going table to table checking on people to make sure all is well… smart man! Another great thing about Moustache is they get local products wherever possible… that rocks! So if you have a hankering for healthy, yummyness with local ties, this is the BEST place in triangle. In fact, any time we have company coming in, this is the #1 restaurant we take them too.

Such a great lunch place!!! They’ve got a bright and fun dining room with plenty to keep you occupied. The walls are covered with famous moustaches, which are so distracting that it seems like your food just popped right out! I’ve always had Mediterranean kebabs, so I was really excited when the Persian version of this classic dish had an entirely different flavor! The lamb kebab is far better than any I’ve had elsewhere, because it’s incredlby tender and well-cooked. The kebab plate for $ 10 comes with Rice, salad, and one side.(I think garnish is much more accurate, and I would set your expectations). I always get humus, because I use their delicious creamy basil sauce that’s free by the drink fountain to cool down my lamb kebab. The hummus is nice and lemony and goes well to fill out my entrée. Fully recommend, as I visit this place almost weekly to keep my lunch hour as healthy as possible!

It was outstanding! I ate here 11÷11÷13 and ordered the chicken. Great flavor, perfectly grilled and complimented by rice, cucumber salad and Greek salad. It was priced right, cooked and served quickly and very flavorful. Don’t pass this place up because it’s in a strip mall. I would have never tried this place if it weren’t for Unilocal. Thanks Unilocal community for helping me find my favorite eatery near the airport hotels. I’ll be back to Moustache Café!

First time being there and I loved their chicken wings with rice and salad. it was so fresh and delicious. I ordered hummus and chicken liver for appetizer, they come with pita. Very good with beers! Every thing was on time and with a good service my food was on a perfect temperature. Very simple menu. A great place to eat and spend time.

Brilliant restaurant. Would never have found it if not for Unilocal and so glad I did. Persian cuisine, primarily kebabs with different choices of meats, hummus and some other typical middle eastern dishes. Started with a hummus appetizer. Some of the best hummus I have had. Not the puréed food processor stuff but it had a ton of texture and flavor. For an entrée had a combo platter. It included a ground beef kebab and a fillet mignonette kebab. The ground beef, which I normally fear, was tasty. The fillet was great, tender, flavorful and cooked perfectly medium rare as I requested. And it tasted really like fillet, not sirloin renamed. The meal also included nicely cooked rice and a salad. It was so good I had to take home lunch for my wife. Got her a lamb kebab that she said was great, tender and flavorful. And to top it off, the lamb kebab, with rice, salad and a side was about $ 10.

Delicious! The best kabobs I’ve ever had(and I’ve been to more Middle Eastern/kabob restaurants than you could shake a stick at)! I never would’ve thought I’d find my favorite kabob place in little Morrisville, NC. The menu was pretty basic, but traditional. All the entrees were pretty much kabobs, the sides were mostly salads or yogurt dips, and there were a few appetizers, mostly more dips. My boyfriend and I ordered the eggplant dip(I cant remember what it was called) and mast-o-khiar(yogurt and cucumber) as an appetizer. I had wanted to order the mixed herbs and cheese(sabz-e khoori), but they were out of it. They were also out of the chicken and pomegranate soup that my boyfriend wanted to order, so that was a drawback. But both of the dishes we ended up ordering as appetizers were delicious, so it balanced out. For the entrée, I ordered the koobideh(ground beef) kabob and my bf ordered the jujeh(chicken) kabob. They were both super moist, tender, and juicy, perfectly seasoned, hot and fresh. Everything a kabob should be. I would give the kabobs a six if I could! The basmati rice was cooked perfectly, fluffy and tasty all on its own. For sides, I ordered the Shirazi salad, which was ok, and my bf ordered mast-o-moseer(yogurt and shallots) which I thought was even better than the mast-o-khiar. All in all, this was a great dinner. The service was great since we were the only ones there on the Friday before Labor Day. The lack of patrons may also explain why some dishes were unavailable, although the waitress did say they were busy at lunch. For me, the food is the most important factor in how many stars a place gets. The only reason I’m not giving a five overall is because the bread that we were served did not taste or look like authentic naan or lavash. It was probably just grocery store pita bread, kinda disappointing but still not all that bad. I would definitely go again.

I like this place enough to grow a mustache of my own. Just had lunch here for the first time based on the Unilocal reviews. The place is clean, tastefully decorated and intimate. I had the veggie kabob with hummous, pita, salad and rice. It was just the right amount of food and everything was fresh and tasty. The hummous was great – nice and garlicy. My lunch partner had a chicken sandwich and said it was the best she had in quite some time. She said it had a tasty roasted pepper dressing on it. Why not 5 stars you ask? I’m stingy. Nothing obvious(except no freshly brewed iced tea). I would have liked more variety in the vegetarian department, but it was still pretty good.

This place is okay. I’m not sure I will come again. I loved the flavored drinks, I had the cucumber and the watermelon and both were delicious. Ordered hte garlic and pepper hummus and it was very garlicy. I love garlic but it was a little overkill I ordered the wings and they were pretty good, but not the best I’ve had. it is different b/c you don’t always see wings. the Chicken kabob on the platter was okay. It lacked flavor and the vegetarian kabob was my least favorite. it had no flavor. The food items are fresh and the service is good too but food wise I’m not sure it is worth a return trip.

Hidden beside the run down outlet shops is the best kept secret in Morrisville! I found this place actually by looking up area ½ off deals and now, I almost feel bad I got so much incredible food at half price! :) We started off with an app. of hummus; the addition of lime and cilantro really sets it apart and it had an amazing flavor. Next, my entrée was the chicken kabob with a side salad and rice, all seasoned to perfection. I have no clue what all they season the chicken in but in it’s tender, juicy state, I could eat it all day every day. Last, we finished with some baklava, also a delicious treat. The staff was super friendly and we raved to them about how wonderful the food was. CHECKITOUTANDTELLYOURFRIENDS! They do well at lunch with nearby businesses but we went on a Saturday night at 7 for dinner and we were the only ones there. They also do take-out. And there are pictures of famous moustaches covering the walls. A testiment to how truly awesome Moustache Café is :)

I was VERY pleasantly surprised with this little gem. The place is immaculate and the service is fabulous. The food was cooked to order and the lamb and chicken(wings) I had were excellent. It’s actually a very romantic little place AND they have single serving champagne. LOL. The décor is soooooooooooo cute. There are oodles of pictures of men with moustaches. Even the men employees had moustaches– but thankfully the women employees did NOT. My only complaint is that the hours are not obviously posted. They are written on a teeny tiny piece of paper and for someone who likes to do ‘drive bys’ to check on hours that was difficult. I mentioned it to the owner and he was appreciative of the suggestion of a larger hours sign.

Kabobs, Kabobs and more Kabobs. This is a great little hidden gem. Everything I had was fresh and well prepared. For apps, we had hummus and spinach and tarragon pie. Both were superb. The hummus is very different as it is chocked full of garlic. If you are a garlic fan then this will be heaven for you. Lucky for me I love garlic so I loved the hummus. I was really glad that there was not a heavy tahnini flavor to it. The spinach and tarragon pie was also really good. It has chopped cherries in it which gave it just the right amount of sweetness. For my entrée, I had the lamb kabob with salad and bread. It was amazing. It was grilled to perfection(medium rare) and was perfectly seasoned. My husband had the ground chuck and filet kabob. Both were really good also but the lamb was the standout. Our dinner companions had the chicken kabob. I tasted it and thought it was very moist and flavorful. If I had to rate the kabobs in order that I liked I would say Lamb, Chicken, Filet and Ground Chuck. For my side I had the Yogurt Shallot sauce. Once again it was top notch. I tried the Yogurt cucumber sauce and it was also really good. I really liked having the salad for my side. They even included fresh avocado in it. Score again! The owner of the restaurant was terrific. He talked with us several times and was great answering questions. He even showed my husband his tandoori oven. Big plus in my husband’s book. They are going to start making their own bread in the future. Can’t wait. Overall I highly recommend Mustache Café. We will definitely will be back. Also like them on their facebook page because he posts his daily specials there.

Six Unilocal Stars! !! !!! Fantastic Kabobs!!! Best Hummus I have eaten Anywhere! The Hummus is more coarsely ground and had less Olive Oil and less Lemon than most versions and all of that is Very good, this one had the BEST Flavor because of that and that the Chef does is BRAVE on using a LOT of Garlic!!! Ground Chuck Kabob(Koobideh) was PERFECT!!! Served with Salad, Rice or Bread… We chose half Bread and half Salad… The Pita Bread and Salad were good too! Spinach and Tarragon PIE was the most unusual dish on this dine! Incredibly Enjoyable… Served Cold, mostly Spinach and herbs with a slight amount of fruit? Currents or Raisins or Cranberries it was hard to tell because everything was chopped up so nicely. Cucumber & Tomato Salad was very tasty! Yogurt Shallot Sauce is milder than I would have expected, still a fine flavor! We enjoyed combining two, three, four and more of these dishes, coming up with Multiple flavor combinations! Making bite-sized«sandwiches» with Pita Bread! Yummmy! Hot Tea was very similar to Russian Tea which is one of my favorites… Four small Sugar Cubes made the Large cup perfectly sweet! Baklava, this one may have Dates in it, a slightly different version Very Nice! This is a «drier» version with some honey though not like so many of the syrup laden Greek versions… Until about 8 years ago I never knew how much I enjoyed Baklava until having a drier version like this one! This place is Nice Looking on the Inside, decorated with small photos of Men with Mustaches — Open Kitchen! Always nice to see what Care the Owner Chef is taking!!! He is Very Serious about GREAT Food and is Very Friendly from the minute you walk in! No Arabian Coffee! Really that is fine with me… The Hot Tea was a NICE substitute!

I’ve only been here a couple of times but I’ve been impressed so far. I ordered the lamb kabobs on my first visit and enjoyed it so much that I ordered that again on my next visit. The lamb was cooked perfectly. The woman at the cash register and the chef are the owners, and they are both very friendly and inviting. With the kabob orders you can select two sides. I’ve been getting the Saffron Rice and Cucumber Salad sides. The rice is fairly plain so I usually mix the rice and the cucumber salad together. I’ve been also wanting to try one of their yogurt sides. The chef always checks to see if we enjoyed our meal on the way out. I haven’t been disappointed yet, and I will come back soon to try more things from the menu.

The quality of food is very good… For that price, it’s unbelievable! What I love is that all of their dishes look EXACTLY like their printed photos. There’s complimentary Persian tea, as much as you want. So you can enjoy continuing to talk to your friends and drinking tea after your meal. And don’t forget to get their homemade dessert. The decoration is also very creative and unique. It has framed pictures of famous people with moustache, from Hollywood celebs to Persian kings. I would definitely go there again. Lamb kabob platter for just $ 8 is a steal!

Seriously. Good. Food. I honestly don’t know how else to describe it. After seeing random Unilocal reviews about Moustache Café(all ridiculously positive), I suggested this little haven for a team lunch. Everyone left the restaurant smiling, with their taste buds satisfied and their wallets happy Between the 5 of us, 2 ordered lamb, 2 ordered ground chuck(my dish… YUM), and 1 ordered chicken. We also ordered hummus and the fantastic owner gave us a another small appetizer to share on the house(sweet!). I can only speak in regards to the hummus and ground chuck, but it was so delicious. It is hard to find solid persian cuisine South of the Mason-Dixson, but this place hits the nail on the head. Juicy meat, delicious flavor combinations, and a stellar line up of little sauces(my fave was a creamy basil… mmm). To give you an idea on cost, I spent about $ 11 and had ground chuck kebabs, pita bread, rice, a yogurt sauce, and a drink. For lunch near RTP, that’s a home run. I’ll continue spreading the word and returning to this spot.

I usually try not to spend more than $ 10 at lunch time, and I prefer not to eat at «order-at-the-counter» type restaurants, however I made an exception for Moustache Café since their meat-heavy entrees are acceptable under my husband’s Keto diet. I’m also very happy to see a kebab restaurant open up in Morrisville, instead of another«pub grub» type place that seems to be everywhere these days. It was about a 5 minute wait in line to order, and there’s not a whole lot of room between the door and the counter to wait in. They might need to re-think not having table service here. I ordered the lamb kebab with salad, and I guess at lunch they have free sides with the entrée too, so I got the mast-o-khiar which is like tzatziki or raita, yogurt with cucumbers. I figured it might help if the dish was spicier than I expected. My husband got one of the daily specials, the filet mignon, with a salad. Since all the sides seemed a little too carb-heavy for him, I ordered a side of shirazi with his, which is diced tomato, cucumber and onions. The filet kebab is usually $ 15, but as the special it was only $ 12. It came with a drink so he got a soda from the soda fountain. I thought mine came with a drink too, so I ordered the yogurt soda($ 1.75, same as the fountain sodas) but apparently either my lunch didn’t come with a drink, or they don’t like it when you don’t take the fountain drink. In any case my bill said an extra $ 1.75 for the yogurt soda. At $ 24 for 2 meals, like I said, a bit more than I usually like to pay for lunch. We were given a number and were told to sit and wait for our food. The seating is pleasant and comfortable enough, and the atmosphere seemed bright and cheery. I didn’t time the wait, but it seemed about 10 or 15 minutes. I guess they do make everything fresh then. My lamb came out with the salad, not on a stick, but you could see where the stick had been. A little dish for the mast-o-khiar was served on the side. The lamb had a decent amount of herbs and spices on it, but it wasn’t «hot» spicy at all. My only issue with the lamb was that one piece had a rather large chunk of fat or gristle that was unchewable in it, so I had to discreetly spit it into a napkin. The salad was all good and fresh, and the herbs used in it also gave it some wonderful flavors. The yogurt soda was interesting, not sweet, just like plain yogurt mixed with club soda. My husband’s filet mignon was served in a similar fashion. His beef wasn’t spiced at all, it seemed completely plain, which was odd. I was expecting it would have similar spices as the lamb. Regardless, it was cooked perfectly, so the beef flavor came out beautifully. He said he would order the lamb next time, since the whole point of going to a kebab restaurant is to taste those delicious herbs and spices cooked into the meat. I ate his little bowl of shirazi he got as the side, and I thought it was very refreshing. I’d probably get that again instead of the mast-o-khiar, since there was no hot spices to cool down from. They had also brought out a little basket of cut-up pita bread, but neither of us used the bread for anything. My husband really liked the food and said he wouldn’t mind coming back frequently for lunch. I thought it was decent enough as a lunch spot, but I probably wouldn’t come for an evening meal. I think they could do themselves a favor by making all the lunch entrees under $ 10(the $ 15 and $ 17 ones really stick out), and then have a more expensive menu and table service for dinner.

A hidden gem! I stopped by last week towards the end of a business trip in the area. I got the ground beef kabobs, with rice and salad, and the yogurt shallot sauce. I also ordered the Yogurt drink(expecting something like Lassi, but it was very bitter). Everything was great, except I personally didn’t like the yogurt drink– perhaps it is very authentic, I don’t know. The food was great and they didn’t seem to get annoyed that I was in a huge rush and ordered/ate/paid very quickly(some places get weird about that). On the other hand, there was another family there eating and they were taking their time and having a nice relaxed conversation. Tip; The sign out front is a bit dark and faded so you will have to search a little to find this place. I got lost in the mall looking for it. Definitely try it if you are in the area!!!
