This is the best little spot in San Jose for Mexican food. Carne Asada is very marinated and always delicious without having fat in the meat like a lot of other places. I LOVE their ceviche Cameron it’s the best I’ve ever had. I can’t go to this spot without ordering a ceviche tostada. Can’t judge this place by the looks of it. Little hidden gem. Wish they would have nachos like the alum rock and Morgan Hill location. Delicious food and menu is unbelievably affordable. Less than 5.00 a burrito!

Best fish tacos north of San Diego. The only thing that is not great is their salsa, it tastes like canned marinara sauce. So don’t get the chips and salsa, instead get an extra taco!!!

Best carne asada nachos! You can’t beat the price and the portions are generous. I’ve never eaten here as it’s more of a pick up and take out place, but there is seating both inside and out.

The service was slow and the dining room had bad smell. I kept asking the employees about the smell but they ignored me. i ordered fish and shrimp tacos. The fish was okay but the shrimp had a mushy texture and was UTTERLYDISGUSTING. Never again.

They use totally different tortillas then the one in San Jose, which they should tell you before you buy a burrito):. Also they only sell water bottles, .75– 1 $.

Good sized wet burritos at a reasonable price. the sauce they use on the wet burrito can vary on day to day in terms of spicyness. Best for takeout. quick service.

3 stars for the price… This place was good considering how cheap they were. If they were a couple dollars more per plate it wouldn’t be worth it though. If you only have $ 5 and you want a big burrito, this is the place to go in this area of town. I still can’t find a burrito spot in San Jose that compares to Don Pepe’s in Fresno

Cute place with nice outdoor seating. They don’t have real silverware though. Kind of a buzzkill if you’re eating a wet burrito and trying to work it with the plastic utensils. Lol. That’s what my hubby got and he said it was delicious! They put green sauce instead of the usual red sauce. I got the fish taco plate and it was yummy! The fish was very small though so i had alot of excess tortilla with the coleslaw. Overall, not a bad deal! Would come back here when we pass through.

Just had La Costa for the first time today. I was really craving Mexican food and thought I’d give them a try. My favorite of course was always El Capri, so since that’s no longer around I’ve been trying to find something to satisfy my craving. This place was great! I had the Carne Asada plate and the meat was so flavorful. Service was great and they were very friendly. When I walked up I immediately said I’m eating inside. Many times when eating outside you fight flies or bees for your food. I don’t know what they do but they clearly don’t have that problem there. I ended up eating outside and it was enjoyable. No fighting for my food. I will definitely be returning in the future. This place has my vote.

This is my to go place. The workers are pretty chill here and the food actually has decent flavor for a nice price. We found this place on Unilocal and decided to stop by. Saw that a few of my friends gave it good reviews so I took their word for it. Glad they didn’t let me down otherwise we would have had beef. get it? The Food: I tend to get the super asada burrito with no sour cream. It has been tasty every time and that’s the reason why I haven’t ordered anything else. The burrito is basic and it does not include beans. it is rice, meat and extras if you go with the super. The only bad part is that the meat sometimes carries fatty pieces which are not pleasant to chew on. That’s why it doesn’t get 5 stars. The Staff: The guys working here are pretty cool. have talked to them in my native language a few time. Aka Oaxacan… I kid. But they work fast! I can have the burrito in my had in as little as a minute, depending on the customers. The Price: You cant beat $ 4.50 for a veggie burrito and around $ 6 for a super asada burrito. All their prices are very reasonable. The Restaurant: There is ample seating inside where you can be protected from the elements and the harmful UV rays. Not me though, I sit outside with the cool kids. The place itself has seating outside so you can enjoy the beautiful sound of cars zooming by or some nice sun rays when the sun is out. Sun out guns out! I will keep coming back til this place does me dirty or closes.

**WARNINGBADFOOD** If I could give this place 0 Stars I would. The food I received for my to-go order was so bad I threw up immediately after. The nachos: Pretty much chips with fake cheese. The Taco Platter(#1): I got home to discover the tacos was just tortilla and meat. No salsa, parsley, onions like described. After my first bite I gave up on taste. These taco’s were so bad with its dry meat I literally threw them away. I leaned more on the rice and beans to keep me happy. After biting into the rice it tastes like it was hard, grainy and uncooked or just extremely old and and heated with a microwave. NOFRESHNESSHERE!!! Both of my orders ended up where they belong the TRASH!!! I even called to see what happened and why the food was bad. After I asked for a manager the Man on the other line told me «No there is no manager on site» After asking if I can talk with the supervisor he decided to hang up on me. When I called back there was no answer. I advise EVERYONE to stay away from this food and save your money! Food Quality: 0 stars Customer Service: 0 stars

Fun, casual, inexpensive, great place to bring the whole family… anything else that I write is probably going to mimic just about every other review here. Awesome fish tacos with thousand island dressing. Tortas that didn’t look impressive but after you took the first bite, WOW! Packed full of flavor and ingredients. My picky eater son polished off the super nachos with no leftovers(although if you have kids, note the cheese is mildly spicy). Our new favorite for this area.

Finally! Fish tacos! I don’t know why it’s so hard to find a decent fish taco north of San Diego, but DANG !! ITIS !! La Costa does a nice job! Fried fish or grilled shrimp, cabbage, sauce(a little too much), but legit! Comes with decent beans, basic rice on the combos/next time I’d skip the plate and order a la carte. The pescado/pulpo tostada is also dead on. Ask for salsas! It all needs a pinch of salt/pepper(packets right there at the window) . NEEDSTOGET A BEERLICENSE! GOODFISHTACOSNEEDICECOLDPACIFICO! (awwww. Now I want fish tacos and I live 30 minutes away. Waaaaaaaaah !!)
