My friend got a pedicure and she enjoyed it, i never got one before so maybe i should tell her to comment instead. I got a mini facial for 20 bucks. What you pay is what you get. My face felt kind of oily afterwards but this was my first time getting a facial so maybe that’s how it should look like. There was only 1 lady working so i had to wait for her to finish my friend first then my facial. Overall, this place was average

I’ve been to this place 3 or 4 times now. Once with my husband and the rest on my own. My husband got a facial once and he enjoyed it. I personally won’t trust anyone but my esthetician to touch my face, so I won’t be getting a facial at this place. I’ve gotten pedicures, a couple of foot massages and an eyebrow wax here. My favorite thing about this place is the friendly atmosphere. Jenny, the owner, makes you feel at home and offers tea when you arrive. I’ve made an appointment once and the other times I did walk-ins. The pedicures are good and the lounge chair/recliners are comfortable. The foot massages are also nice, although the last one I got I think I got shorted 5 minutes, and would have liked the ball of my foot to get more attention than it did. Another nice thing about this place is that they speak decent English and also speak English with EACHOTHER. I remember during my first visit, one of the girls spoke to Jenny in their language and Jenny corrected her telling her to speak English. I notice at most nail shops, the girls speak freely and loudly in their language without any regard for their English speaking customers. Parking is limited as I think they only have 2 spots, but if you’re there after 5pm weekdays I think the other business around have closed and you can use their spots. I might try their full body massage next time, I believe they have a $ 40/hour special. The prices are pretty reasonable too.

After our tea breakfast we wanted some pampering. We walked in to this place and they asked us what we wanted. We said one manicure –pedicure combo, one paraffin pedicure combo. They scattered like mice. What do they do? They weren’t ready for real customers. Three vietnamese ladies rushing around: «Quick, tell them something», they said, «go pick out your colors» one of them said. All the colors looked really old and diluted. They had a limited amount of OPI nail lacquer. Their main supply of nail polish is China Glaze. What were we thinking? Actually taking their sign, «walk-ins welcome» literally?! We picked out our colors and were directed to our seats. Our feet were dunked in foot baths. They rolled up with their equipment and special stools. Our feet were pulled from their relaxing soak and they began our pedicures. They do decent pedicures, I agree with Kristin K., they need to sharpen or replace their cuticle scissors because I felt and watched them pull at my skin also. After my feet were prepared and ready for their wax dip I sat, and sat, and sat. Apparently their wax wasn’t warmed and was still a solid block. I saw Jenny trying to break the wax up so it would melt quicker. She finally got some of the wax, about 1⁄8 of it, melted enough for my feet to be dunked in it. Shouldn’t that wax be prepared and on every morning? We walked in a little after 12pm. So after the wax on my feet hardened, Jenny, massages the wax off of my feet and peeled whatever residue was left away with her hands. No lotion to rub off any excess or anything to wipe off with she just takes out the acetone and starts my pedicure. The acetone did burn my toes because she trimmed to much of my cuticles off. She did my pedicure fairly quickly, turned the fan on me for a few minutes and instead of letting my toes dry, she rushed me out?! She said, «it’s good that you have flip flops. Your flip flops will work.» For a place that was totally empty when we walked in, it helped them to have two customers in the place. Apparently two other ladies saw us inside and decided to try this place out. Good luck. My friend didn’t have the same experience. Her manicure and pedicure were completely uneventful. The only thing she didn’t like was the shabby job they did on her nails. They didn’t bother to clean up around her nails to take off the stray polish that got onto the skin on her fingers. I have to agree, they do a shabby job. The color from my pedicure is completely bubbled from their rushing my pedicure, plus the diluted and old nail lacquer made it worse. We won’t be returning here.

Got a pedicure and eyebrow wax done here. Both services were decent, but nothing special. My eyebrows really just needed to be cleaned up and thinned out a little, no shaping involved. After I was done, they looked almost the same minus a bit of stray hairs. She didn’t use enough baby powder, so it hurt enough to make my eyes tear up and my nose run. That usually doesn’t happen. My pedicure turned out pretty good, but it hurt too. I think they need to sharpen their cuticle scissors because it felt like all she was doing was pulling the skin off. I bled on 4 toes. My toe nails weren’t filed after they were cut like are at other places, so the edges were still kind of sharp and not very smooth looking. I got just a regular polish, nothing special so it came out pretty good. It lasted about 4 days before it started chipping. For the price, it was a pretty foot and leg massage, and not bad having nail polish put on me. I don’t think I would go back though.

It was the worst eyebrow wax i’ve ever had!!! the owner(jenny) didn’t know what the heck she was doing… when she was done and held up the mirror, it looked like nothing had been done… i asked her to redo the top part to clean it up… she redid the wax and it still looked the same… not worth the $ 12

I got a mani and pedi here. They came out really nice. I actually cracked one of my toenails and told the girl before I got my nails done and she was extra careful and repaired it for me =) After my pedi, I got ready for my mani and the lady suggested that I get the french tip with the color I chose with my toes. I’m glad I went with her suggestion, my nails look fabulous =D They were all very nice there but the only thing that was lacking was the nice massages that people usually give =(They also don’t clip much of the cuticles off. I guess that’s why I didn’t bleed this time XD I didn’t feel as «clean» because of that but I WILL be back. It was $ 10 for a pedi and $ 8 for a mani. Maybe I’ll try waxing next time … if I think I can handle the pain o. o;; **UPDATE: Got the full face wax, she didn’t exactly rip the hairs out by the roots because my mustache was back the next day T_T I had the old-ish lady. She was gentle at first, putting pressure on the places right after she ripped but after a while, she stopped. Started stinging then =(And she ripped skin off. Maybe it’s just me and my thin skin but… I can’t be the only one right? I’m sad. I’ll have to keep looking for a good waxing place =T Had to give them one star less for the wax =(But will be back when I want a cheap mani and don’t care about my cuticles, no pedi though =T

Four Seasons Nails is not your typical hustle and bustle nail salon… the décor is comfortable and relaxing. I agree with the other Unilocalers — Jenny(the owner?) does an excellent job for waxing. Unfortunately, the french pedicure was disappointing — the white was uneven and crooked. I got the impression that the pedicure lady(not Jenny) was new and still in training. Hopefully, she will get better with experience. For now, I will go there for my waxing needs. Update(02⁄2008): Waxing is no longer what it used to be… both visits in November & December 2007 were disappointing. Jenny was no longer there and the other ladies were nice but did not do as clean as a job as Jenny. Boo. Time to find a new place for waxing. =(

An hour a go I was a hairy BEAST! As a beginner Unilocaler, I was hoping I’d be the first to Unilocal this hidden place. Julie cleaned me up very nicely and now I’m smooth as butter. RRRRRrrrrrrr. She takes her time *in a good way* and did a clean job. Armpits + Half Arms + Half Legs + Tip = $ 50 They offer other services including manis, pedis, facials, eye liner and eyebrow tatoos. It’s Thai owned so they actually offer Thai massages as well. I haven’t had the other services so I’m saving the last star. I’ve detailed some of their prices below: Mani + Pedi = $ 17 Thai massage for an hour = $ 40 Acrylic Regular Full Set = $ 18 and up Acrylic Over Lay $ 18 and up Regular Facial = $ 30 Eyelash Perm = $ 35 Eyelash Extension = $ 80 Eyebrow Tatoo = $ 120

If you blink you might miss this place because it’s located in a shopping center with tax services, dentists, immigration lawyers, etc. It’s directly across the street from the Monterey Park Hospital. For Mother’s Day last year I brought my mom here for a little pampering. She loved it! They take their time and do a great job of pedicures and manicures. I highly recommend paying Jenny a visit for some waxing. She’s fantastic!
