John’s Incredible Pizza Company

I’ve been here many times over the years and never experienced any problems. I’m a huge fan of pizza, so I think the choices are quite amazing. Depending on when you go, it may be crowded. Always a ton of little kids running around– having fun.
Looking forward to future visits.

Great place to bring the family. Buffet, laser tag, bowling, wide range of games, rides and even a kiddie section for toddlers. We will be back thats for sure! Only giving 4 stars because the card readers are awful and the food could use some work! But 10.99 for a buffet, it is what I expected. The game cards needed to be scanned more than 5 times just to get a game going. Overall, very affordable and you get your money’s worth. Our kids love it. We also had fun with such a large variety of games.

This has got to be the W O R S T John’s Incredible pizza company wide. The card they gave us didn’t really work, and then the lady said it was the actual readers. I told her to try it and she scanned it didn’t work, so she kept going back and forth to try and get it to scan. I swear not only did it look like she was jacking the thing off, I think she was starting to sweat from trying to get it to work. It finally went green, I kept asking for a new card she was hesitant to swap it out, kept blaming the readers. Well she finally gave me a new damn card, and looky here the new card worked!
There were A LOT of games that were down and not working. Such a HUGE disappointment especially considering it was a weekend and they were super busy.
The people that work there aren’t very friendly.
The tables to sit at to eat were sticky. The floors were disgusting. Ugh… Gross!
The Food:
Tasty. I mean its pizza they have a wide variety of selections to try.
They have a good salad bar, I really enjoyed their Balsamic vinaigrette dressing. They had fried chicken and that was tasty. U know I got some damn fried chicken!
The Food was tasty, especially considering what it is.
This one star is strictly based on service well lack thereof, the uncleanliness, and the fact that at least 30% of the games were not working. The place isn’t cheap, I expect to get what I pay for.
All in all, it was a disappointment.

Horrible! Lines too long, they let too many people in, no where to sit, and many games broke or non op. DO NOT waste your money here!

Food is ok. Not a reasonable price for all you can eat eiether. The play machines are frequently out of order.

Terrible service and the food bar was not completely full so all we got was pizza and salad no desserts no nothing else never go back

If you are looking for hospitality, DON’T COME HERE! DON’T BRING YOUR KIDS OR FAMILY! The service is horrible and the staff don’t care. The place is a mess! Staff just walk by and will look at the mess and just walk by. Won’t be back. Just stick with Chuckle Cheese or any other buffet.

Came to the Johns in Modesto, Ca and right from the start there were no plates, the tables were full of dirty dishes. No lie, there was a table next to us that never got cleaned up the whole time we were there (1 ½ hours). The worst part was watching the employee continually walk by the mess on the table and never cleaning it up. Then standing in the corner joking with another employee. I understand that it’s a busy Saturday night, but I feel it was poor management. It will be the last time we visit.

I love going to this place once in a while. Its cheap food at an affordable price. They have a salad, pizza and dessert bar along with a variety of other food choices. Lots of seating space and a great place to spend time with your kids and the whole family. Thank you Johns Incredible.

3 stars because the place is a mad house and the food is awful! There are weirdos hanging around that I didn’t see children with. Hmm
I’d give another star only because the girls who helped host my sons party on 1÷24÷15 were very sweet! Thanks girls for being attentive and interacting with the kids.
Ps: I know it’s the parents job to watch their own kids but a better security system should be in play. I saw a lot of weirdos!

The food is terrible. Think expensive but like cardboard pizza! It’s great for the kids but skip the nasty buffet and eat some where else first.

This place is like a chuckee cheese for older kids. I came here with my cousins and it was a little confusing. When you walk in there’s like 6 different rooms and a buffer so you pick your food and sit at what ever room seems appealing to you (tiki room, sports room, dinner room. Etc) I feel like the front people should of explained this a little because I was lost lol after you eat you can go to the back and play games. They had a lot of different games and rides which we enjoyed. They were understaffed so if we wanted to go on a ride, we had to wait for someone to come work it. This place would be great, they just need some adjustments

Its a Disneyland for food, as in you wait in long lines for middle school cafeteria food. Games are pretty chill tho, good place to bring your kids. The only thing that made this particular visit more annoying than the rest was the wait staff for the extreme sports room. My girlfriend and I brought food back from the crowded buffet. We put our prize from the successful hunt down and went back to get drinks and napkins. When we returned to pur table, the staff had bussed our full plates of food. Annoyed but not disheartened, we ventured out again in hopes of another harvest. When we came back, I could see the same lady bussing my freshly made root beer float and our napkins.
TLDR: good for kids, waitress took all our food and left us with sticky hands.
Pro tip: Bring hand sanitizer

Meh. if all you care about is games and rides really you are better off at a place like boomers or even chucky cheese.
The food here isn’t good outside of the salad bar. The pizza flavors and toppings are original but the breading of the pizza starts to taste bad after a few slices. The dessert table is questionable and there’s not much else to eat in the pasta and soup areas.
Ad far as buffet goes there’s not much value in the price of admission. The real problem is this place is unsanitary, and that’d being kind. The tables are a mess, the seats are dirty and some of the popular rooms smell like a 3 week old sock.
I’ve come here many times but this last time was the absolute worst. The toon room stunk so bad we turned right around after walking in. The tables in almost all the rooms didn’t look like anyone had bussed them and the workers look miserable. If I had to expose myself to that smell in my workplace I suppose I’d be pretty pissed myself.
If your kids love it then there’s not many places like Johnnys incredible pizza. But don’t go in expecting more than salad and games.
For the amount of money this place charges for admission you would expect it to be much cleaner than it is. It’s particularly worrisome when you start to think about the kitchen. If the tables and rooms where the public is this dirty, I don’t want to think about how nasty it is in the kitchen area.

There are too many strikes against this place: loud SCREAMING kids [this was seriously excessive noise in an enclosed dining area *OUCH*, not in the large open arcade area where such noise is expected and not so painful], belligerent parents who don’t supervise their kids, mediocre food [poorly stocked], uncaring staff, etc. Skip it. ‘Ain’t worth it.
Yes, it’s supposed to be a family/​kid-​friendly place. Above all, it is the parents’ responsibility to monitor their children. Likewise, it’s the staff’s responsibility to *kindly* ensure everyone’s safety and comfort, have fresh food at all stations, and keep the games and play equipment in working order, etc.
ps: If those mean guys take their kids to see STAR WARS, I hope some kids kick the back of their seats and scream in their ears all through the movie.

I’ve never been a huge fan of this place, but tonight’s experience really deals the deal! The place wasn’t overly crowded, and yet the staff couldn’t keep up with the dishes. Of the three times I went for drinks, I had to wait three times for glasses to show up. Of the eight or so plate stations, only one ever actually had plates. Ice cream cups were nowhere to be found. Food stations were essentially bare.
Employees looked and behaves terribly! At one point, a food service gal asked a janitor type his name because she wanted to alert him of a spaghetti spill. He rudely held his name badge out to her, and she (understandably) gave him attitude back.
And maybe it’s minor, but it annoyed me that there were as many bumper cars out of service and taking up space as there were cars actually IN-​service!
Does this place really only have one bathroom?!

This place is gross. It smells as soon as you get in, the food taste old and has no flavor, and it’s way to big for the small amount of people who actually go to this place. Why are there 5 different themed rooms for people to sit in and there’s only 10 people here? Use your space more wisely. Maybe you can change those rooms into a place where you can make better food instead of having me choose between eating in a safari or eating in a Hawaiian themed area. After coming here I felt like I wasted my time when I could have went somewhere so much better.

Everytime I come here, I spend hours playing and eating with my family, they have an excellent buffet, multiple themed dining rooms, and a S*** load of games and rides for kids of all ages. This place does a good job with their pizza quality, it’s always fresh and tasty, and they always have at least 10 – 15 different pizzas to try; with many more being available by request. I like that they offer so many seating areas, I can sit back with my kids in the cartoon room and let them enjoy shows or movies, while I enjoy my pizza and beer. What to say about the games, they are awesome, and are always current to what’s popular. Most of the games dispense tickets, but quite a few are arcade style, where it’s pure play and go. If you come here, be sure to get a game credit package, for $ 25; you get 125 credits and two premium rides.

Worst place ever. Food is absolutely disgusting. Smeels ommediately nasty when you walk in. All teh games are broken
We had to ask someone to help us get our credits back about 8 times.
Dont even bother coming here.

This place is definitely better than Chuck E. Cheese. I wish they had one closer to the Bay Area, but we did the drive to Modesto for my son’s 5^th bday. I think you get a really good deal if you can get past the distance.
For under $ 10, you get a pizza, pasta, dessert and salad buffet. Drinks are an additional cost, but they provide unlimited drinks. Alcohol is also extra, but not bottomless. They have a huge selection of pizzas, which I think is pretty cool. There’s something for everyone.
My son had a great time here. We were there for over 3 hours. There are a few things I feel needed improvement… The bathrooms weren’t cleaned often, the café area had drinks laid out on the counter from people who just left them there, and some of the games weren’t working properly so it ate up your credits. I had to track down some of the staff, but when I did, they were very helpful.
Overall, as long as my son had a great time and we were all fed, that’s all that mattered. I just feel that the bathroom facilities should be checked often given that there are so many kids that use it and you know how that goes.
