Took my dad here for fathers day they showed him nothing but respect and served him everything he ordered the way he ordered it no problems

I should of known by walking in and it being super empty. I just moved here from Los Angeles and the bjs over there are beautiful. With chandeliers and great ambiance. The one in Pasadena looks awesome on the inside and food is great. This location was horrible. Our drinks were good we got strawberry lemonades. We ordered a deep dish pizza and side salad. The salad was so small and I literally ate it in like 3 bites. The pizza came and was cold :(won’t be coming here again. To get the full BJs experience go to LA trust me.

Birthday lunch with family — service was so so — mom had grilled cheese sandwich — came out tasting like the dirty grill it was prepared on… bread completely off the sandwich… how do you screw up a grilled cheese… brother waited 5 minutes for dressing for salad… drinks never refilled…$ 3 soda! Oh, but the mgr was very «sorry»!! Never again!

I honestly can not believe how horrible the service and food combined was and the worst part is we didn’t even done in! My boyfriend used to be a cook at the BJs in Dublin and the food his coworkers would prepare is nothing like what we received. A steak that was supposed to be medium rare came out so well done it shrunk to a patty. My seared ahi tuna salad was in a lagoon of dressing filled with wilted lettuce and about 5 pieces of completely raw mushy tuna, no sear whatsoever. To top it off, when we tried to return the food the girl at take out told us «so what do you want me to do?» I walked out and left my boyfriend to handle it before i did. I’ll never be back.

This location is not the best. Service is waaaay slow. Twice already our appetizers never came out… our drink refills take forever… even when its not busy. They are never apologetic. I gave them two chances so my family and I will not be back and my friends and I will meet somewhere else…

Alright so this is a normal spot we go to since we live so close but this time we came here and it was by far one of the worst services. We ordered out food and about an hour and ten minutes later the food came out cold. One of the orders was wrong and when we told our server it was not the right order she basically said do we not want it or what. On top of waiting so long, the food was cold. The server then asked if I need a refill on my regular Pepsi, she brings me back a glass full of diet Pepsi. The manager was informed and he was kind enough to offer us a pazooki on the house. Besides bad service the manager handled the situation well.

I’m not one to post a review and I expect more than required from any server but today Emily G was just wonderful Service was quick food was yummy and Emily was adorable and cheerful… One of my best BJ’s experiences

This is my favorite restaurant in Modesto. I love all the servers here. Tonight my server was Adrian and he gave excellent service with a smile. I really enjoy the food and the atmosphere here. I will be coming back soon.

I have been here a couple of times when visiting my parents. The menu is good, the beer selection is excellent. I find the service to be fine and the atmosphere is better than I had anticipated. We ran into an issue with time and slow food the last time I was in but the server was fantastic in responding to the problem.

When I originally showed up to bjs to share my birthday with my family I was told that the wait was 40 minutes after calling and being told they couldn’t reserve but there wouldn’t be a wait… but let me tell you our server Nick C made it totally worth the wait. He was very attentive to our needs and very entertaining. I could definitely say he turned our experience from a one star to a five star, one of the best servers my family has had the pleasure of having in a long time! Thank you Nick!

First off the jalepeno and cucumber margarita had slices of jalepeno inside which would of been ok if they didnt put the part with the stem in my drink. I put it on my plate and the waitress insted of bringing me a plate she just grabbed the pieces off my plate. My date ordered vodka with a splash of cran. They didnt fallow instructions. There was more than a splash by far. However dont get me wrong. The waitress was a decent waitress besides the plate thing. We ordered calamari and poke. Calamari was bland. It took so long for them to bring the poke out. It must of been frozen because not only did it taste horrible it had no flavoring. You need to completly take that off the menu. Seriously. Anyone whos had poke where its served good. They would be upset if they tried the one you served. To top it off it was served on top of a bunch of lettuce. Awefull. I hate to give bad reviews, but it was bad. And all together it was near $ 70. Wasted money.

My friends and I like to come here for drinks and appetizers. We always get great service, drink prices are good, and more then anything we come back because of their bartenders. Chris and Justin are awesome. We always have the best time when they work.

Great pizza thin crust! Real stuff! Hubby got the crispy jalapeño burger he was not impressed. The meat isn’t seasoned and all jalepenos on one side of the burger. Clean good service.

Hubby got jalapeño burger great! My BLT terrible how can a bacon sandwich not taste like bacon! Greasy ! So disappointed! The potato skins are great! Salad with balsamic dressing wonderful! Iced teasGreat! Service wonderful!

I’ll keep it simple. Some of their food is good, but they have consistently horrible service. Every time I give BJ’s another chance, I end up regretting it with their unrelenting poor service.
UPDATE: I contacted the person who commented below and never got a response… Maybe just trying to seem like they have better service than they actually do?

I came here with my coworkers (4 of us) for the lunch specials, we had an hour lunch break. It was not very crowded and we were seated after 3 minutes and not sure we had to wait at all. Bunch of empty tables, The sever didn’t smile or introduce her self. It took a while to get our drinks and orders placed. This place was really dead yet the service so slow, by that time only 2 out 4 people at my table had gotten their food and our lunch break was ending soon. Soup was served cold. We returned it which took forever. My salad had no dressing. We had to get our food to go before we even ate it. It took more time sending those items back.
Our office will not go back for lunch.

Something has changed at BJ’s.

I don’t like to give a bad review but our lunch just sucked. Slow service for food that wasn’t worth it. I don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon. I do like BJ’s though so I might try a different location.

Got here early before the lunch crowd and was seated immediately. We were seated in a huge booth for ourselves. Our server was very friendly and took our order quickly. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. I went with the Parmesan Crusted Chicken to compare it with the one here in town. My girl went with a mini vegetarian pizza and we both split wedge cut fries. Their french fries are good. She suggested them. If you’re eating a vegetarian meal and want good fried food, try the wedge fries!
By the time our food came out, the restaurant was starting to fill up with more and more people. The lunch crowd was finally arriving! Luckily we were well into our meal to where our ticket wasn’t put into a queue with a lot of people in front of us. My food tasted the same as the Stockton location. They even slack by giving you a tiny portion of broccoli. I’ve always joked about there being a shortage of broccoli in the back at the Stockton Location. I can confirm it’s standard to ship this dish out with a small amount of vegetables. I asked to get a side of broccoli to get a good portion of veggies with my meal. Instead of looking at the plate and acknowledging the short portion, she didn’t have a problem charging me around $ 4 for the side of broccoli (photographed below).
Complaining aside, the food tasted fine. Neither of us had a problem with the staff, and the waiting time was minimal for our food, getting seated, and getting our drinks. This place is clean inside and they’re in a great location to get a lot of foot traffic (by the malls in Modesto). I wouldn’t mind stopping by and visiting again in the future.

My friends and I were shopping at the mall and decided to have lunch here. I would say our food was good and the service was excellent but the AC was on so high, the place was like a meat locker. I told the hostess when we walked in and she said she would talk to the manager. Well the AC was never changed and I froze through the whole meal. I complained later to the waiter and he apologized but the AC was still not changed.
For our entrees, we had the Garlic Chicken Pesto flatbread pizza, the Kale and Roasted Brussels Sprouts Salad on the EnLIGHTed menu, and the tomato soup in a bread bowl.
I had the salad and really loved it. Lots of good toppings: Baby kale, herb-​roasted brussels sprouts, romaine, blueberries, red grapes, dried cranberries, goat cheese, cucumber, candied pecans, toasted pepitas and red onions tossed in strawberry vinaigrette. My friend who had the soup wished there had been more soup. I don’t think they took enough bread out of the middle.
Our server was very attentive. He brought us refills and checked on us frequently. Definitely a great waiter.
So I may be back here as I enjoy BJ’s but hopefully the AC will not be on so high.

This place is ok. I came here to watch the warriors game last night. waited for about 15 minutes to get the menu. once i got the menu, it was good from there.
it’s your typical chain restaurant. nothing fancy.
