It is a very good place for lunch. The lunch specials all so good and affordable. I like there sushi and they have a very good costumer service. Love this place.

We weren’t greeted when we walked in. The table was rough to the touch and chipping away. I ordered the Joaquin and New York roll and I left the New York roll didn’t even finish it. My husband ordered the chicken teriyaki it was very chewy and dry and the rice had too much soy sauce and no egg. I’m from Las Vegas and I haven’t found a decent sushi place in this town.

Worst Sushi Ever!!! First of all the waiter is fine. I just didn’t like the food. I order a roll that is supposed to have fish on top of the roll. Those pieces of fish are the smallest and thinnest I have ever seen. The California roll is basically all rice with little to nothing in the middle. The rice falls apart as soon as I pick up the the chopsticks. There are many sushi restaurants out there and I will never come back.

Horrible customer service!!! It’s like they specifically trained their wait staff to be rude and disrespectful. It’s was my first time going to that location, the McAllen one was mediocre at best so I was curious to see if they improved but lo and behold, they did not. Our waiter was also incredibly ignorant about basic food information, I don’t think he knew what sushi was or that it originated from Japan. That would have been fine but he was so rude. It was like he was doing us a favor. After he rudely drop our plate of appetizers to our table, I’d had enough and talked to the manager. Biggest asshole in the world!!! Hooray! Oh and the food was horrible!

Worse. Service. Ever. Had a terrible experience with the staff and management after my friend got an allergic reaction towards the food even after he specifically asked to exclude shrimps and crabs on his dish. The manager did not even come to speak to my friend and instead had the chef and some lady approach him. How do you even run a business if the manager himself can’t even face a customer and own up to their mistake? Very unprofessional management. Would not recommend this place. Ever.

Yoko’s Sushi is a small restaurant but it’s locally owned. It’s nice and comfortable in there and even though it’s small it still gives you an intimate atmosphere with your company so you don’t feel listened in on. Radio type music is always playing at a reasonable level too so it’s not quiet. The waiters are really nice and they all speak Spanish too. The sushi is good it actually has a taste and you can tell they use fresh products unlike other generic sushi places. I recommend the McAllen Roll, the Lady Sexy Roll and the Philladelphia Roll but really anything is good and it’s a sizeable serving. I’ll admit the dinner menu is a bit on the pricey side but the lunch menu is on point! I’m telling you, go for lunch! the teriyaki salmon is always delicious and they serve it in a bento box type plate with rice, sushi, dumplings, and tempura vegetables, not bad for $ 7 ish dollars. And the miso soup is also included! Oh and don’t use the bottled soy sauce, if you’re at Yoko’s take advantage of their prepared soy sauce it’s much better. Also, I know this location(Sharyland) is much better than their McAllen location so give it a try for lunch.
