I really wanted to like this place and the first time was absolutely scrumptious! My husband doesn’t like sushi and couldn’t wait to go back. It is a nice(somewhat small) restaurant in a strip mall that plays popular spanish music. The two times we went there was only one waitress and she seemed somewhat frazzled, still friendly though. The first time we had: –Shrimp Varikai(shrimp with panko filled with cream cheese) and it is really really good. –Miiso soup was ok, but I doubt I would pay the $ 3 for it again. –The«no name» roll was different and very tasty but i think it should be listed under the«hot» rolls instead of cold. –Spicy tuna roll was just effin delicious. –Chicken teriyaki(delicious sauce but chicken was paper thin and overcooked) and the beef tenderloin(very good and the veggies are fresh and perfectly cooked), i was very surprised when these two entrees didn’t come with steamed rice. The second time we had the no name roll, fried rice(was ok but I’m not a big fan of fried rice), the shrimp varikai, and the«Chuti» roll. The«No name» was pretty and delicious and the shrimp varikai was excellent as before but the«Chuti» roll seriously looked like they just threw it together and dropped it on to the plate. Perhaps because we went on a Friday and on Fridays it’s buy one get one free on all rolls. The server was somewhat hard to get a hold of but they seem to do a lot of take out, so that kept her tied up. I would have given this place 5 stars the first time but unfortunately the second time brought it down a couple of notches. All in all we are pleased with this place and will return, after all, who doesn’t love BOGO?!
