Parking sometimes sucketh. However, my «dopio espresso with whip» habit is a success every time. They use some great beans for sure, not to mention the«rad» staff. Paul is a high quality human being. He is engaged with his work and the customers. And, I’m no joy to talk to early am before coffee, LOL!

Came here for a quick coffee and to sit and chat with a friend for a bit. The young girl that took my order was incredibly nice and sweet! She offered me suggestions and even offered to remake my drink if I didn’t like it — super nice! My drink was ok, but not terrible. The only reason why I gave it 3 stars is due to the ambiance of the actual place; it just looked sad. I could tell that it has a ton of potential but it needs a little«pick-me-up». The lighting is super dim and it looks a tad dirty. Also all the posters on the walls promoting drinks look a bit tacky… I don’t know, I just feel it could look better for the location they have.

I was looking for a place to study at with my boyfriend and didn’t want to spend the day at a Starbucks, since I love local coffee shops. It was our first time here and it was great. The wifi signal is strong, the coffee is delicious, the room is spacious with many tables and comfortable couches. Oh and the restroom is clean too! Adding this place to my list of favorite coffee shops!

Coffee = pretty good Wifi = terrible. Beyond terrible. I came looking for an alternative spot to work for the day. Left in 5 minutes. Speed test ping was higher than 500 and download was 0.25mbs. Giving it 4 stars because I get its still a coffee shop at the end of the day.

Spacious coffee bar with some dairy free and gluten free snack options. I always appreciate that! There’s quite a bit of room to spread out and work or study, it had a quiet environment so I could easily see myself working from my laptop here. Parking is ok depends on what time you come. As for the coffee. Standard espresso not too dull or sweet, balanced. My iced coffee had an odd taste though which I couldn’t really pinpoint. The staff was very young but anything the cashier couldn’t answer he directed to the barista for answers. Overall very friendly staff and decent coffee.

I love their coffee! But this place really needs a good cleaning! I hope the owner or manager reads this, they could benefit from hiring a cleaning service once in a while, or have their current employees clean the place(I’m talking about dust/bugs along the window seals, windex the glass, crumbs on their chairs and tables sweeping) if u take a closer look it’s kind of gross, but I keep coming back for the delicious cofee. I would like to see this place clean to starbucks standards, a little clean can go a long way!

Great place. Delicious self serve coffee. Pleasant baristas and comfy leather chairs to relax in. All this place is missing is a place to smoke a Sherlock Holmes pipe and think about space and time. Who doesn’t like to get deep sometimes? The serve food too. But haven’t tried it so, won’t comment on it. Overall a great place. If you need a coffee shop to get some work done, meet a client, or lounge in some comfy leather chairs and strike up a conversation with a complete stranger, then It’s a Grind is your place to buy your next cup of java.

Great place with a neighborhood feel. My go to is an iced decaf latte, very smooth without the bitter aftertaste of «that other coffee store». The staff is friendly and will remember your order if you’re a regular.

I’ve given this coffee shop a few chances but I have to say, I’m disappointed. On the plus side, the atmosphere is very quaint and relaxing. They have the biggest cookies if you have a sweet tooth. The coffee honestly is crap; however, I’d be willing to settle for less than stellar coffee IF the service was good — but it’s NOT. For example, today I went in about 2pm – it was not busy but the guy at the counter took several minutes to help me. And we he final took my order, he was cold and standoffish. He didn’t say«thank you» or anything after my purchase. After this last visit I’m NEVER going back.

This is a great coffee place. The man who appeared to be the owner /manager made his presence known and seemed to really care about his customers. Thank you.

I always like a coffee shop that feels like a «third place»: somewhere people like to hang out for a chat, read a book or get some work done. It was easy to find a table, the person behind the counter was friendly and attentive(*“Would you like your cappuccino in a ceramic mug? Can I warm-up your blueberry scone for you?” In fact, when I went back for round two, he even remembered my name… and it was my first visit!) A part from the baked goods, they also had some fresh, bagel sandwiches that I plan to try next time.

This is the third time I’ve gone to its a grind after 8PM and they have no brew coffee left. It seems like they are so anxious to close the coffee shop early every night of the week. It’s too bad because the coffee is good.

It’s true… I’m fairly regular here. I don’t check-in every time, nor do I rate every time. That would be boring. Today I’m meeting a former colleague and got here a bit early. I wanted to make sure we had a table with the comfy chairs to sit in. Mission accomplished! What is really cool is the have pink lids for the to-go cups. Since my wife is a breast cancer survivor, the pink lids have special meaning for me. It’s a wonderful thing they are doing to keep breast cancer awareness this month. Kudos!

By far the best Iced Americano on the left coast. No really, I know Iced Americanos and this place serves the best Iced Americanos. The large size is huge and it’s the only one I get. The service is always great and the wait is never more than a few minutes. Stop by for your morning fix. Happy Eating(umm) Drinking.

Great location and excellent coffee! The staff is super nice and the space small but cozy and still has enough seating. The large here is huge and a meal in itself, at least that is what I tell myself to jusitfy the $ 8 price tag. I loved the java chip, though they do charge quite a bit extra if you want additions, my husband added an extra shot and peanut butter which brought his regular drink up to over $ 6. One of my favorite local chains to get coffee, you can really taste the quality.

I thought I wrote 2 reviews for It’s A Grind but on the«Your Next Review Awaits» feature, it shows that I haven’t written a review. Huh? In any case, I go to It’s A Grind often to buy their Passion Fruit Iced Tea. A small is currently(as of 1÷07÷2015) $ 2.00. For me, this represents a better bargain than the iced teas of their competitors. Their cups are bigger and the ice used is in the form of tiny spheres. I find their ice better than that of the coffee houses which have large pieces of ice that take forever to melt. I’m a Fan. 5 stars. My husband loves It’s A Grind also, but I think he fondly remembers and prefers the heavy air-conditioning of the now closed location in Laguna Hills. I don’t enjoy heavy AC and I think the temperature at the Mission Viejo franchise is more conducive to reading, studying, or simply chatting with friends. He still goes here and tends to order iced green tea, iced black tea, or one of the espresso based drinks. He’s happy; I’m happy. It’s all good :)

Moving to RSM and passing by this place too often made me curious to try it especially with good reviews on Unilocal!I’m not a crazy coffee person, nor do I even know the difference between mocha, latte, espresso, etc. I drink coffee only when I need to and for the flavor… Finally tried this place out one morning; I got the Nutty Cow Hazelnut Latte, it was pretty yummy! I saw their ad for their new Pistachio Nut Latte and it looked so good that I had to come back. I was on Marguerite yesterday and decided to stop by Grind Coffee to try their Pistachio Nut Latte. The barista told me if I like pistachio ice cream I’ll like the latte. She said she loves it, so I trusted her. I ordered the iced latte, took my first sip and it was to die for! Loved, loved it! I’m thinking of passing my one morning before work and get it again. *Staff are friendly, they take the time to make your coffee. I’ll have to come back here and try some of their pastries /breakfast.

Not sure why I didn’t learn my lesson about this place from the Long Beach location which I used to frequent, but I saw on their website that they had a new pistachio latte and I just couldn’t resist(I love pistachio flavored anything). I came around 10:30/11:00am on a weekday so it wasn’t super crowded, but there were plenty of regulars lounging around and enjoying their coffee. They have almond milk, soy milk and rice milk which is why I drove out of my way to grab a coffee here in the first place. I ordered a small pistachio latte with almond milk. My total came to just over $ 5.00. WHATTHEFUCK?! I’m not sure how much they are upcharging for almond milk, but in case none of you have been to the almond milk section of any grocery store, it generally costs LESS than dairy milk. SOFRUSTRATING. The service was friendly enough, although the girl at the counter hadn’t tried half the things on the menu that I asked about which I find ridiculous. How are you gonna have a new item on the menu that you are advertising all over the place and your employees haven’t even been trained on/sampled it?! NO. You’re a corporate company, get your shit together. Anyway, my drink came out very quick and I took my first sip and rolled my eyes. It tastes just like every other drink I’ve had from here… burnt-ish(but better flavor than Starbucks) coffee, burnt almond milk, and no hint what-so-ever of anything remotely pistachio. I almost went back in and had them make me something else or just get my money back, but I needed the caffeine and I was in a hurry. Will not return or recommend. Fix your pricing and your employee training.
