Del Taco

Ok so on Sunday I came to this del taco and the man in charge of drive thru, was beyond unprofessional. I have never had a problem at this site with customer service but he seemed new. I would hire someone else to work with customers, he was rushing me to order and giving me attitude I’m guessing because I was asking everyone what they wanted. And once I got to the window I asked if I could add a churro and rudely said no and complained of having a long line. Anyway hope they hire someone new.

Wow horrible horrible customer service drive through guy that took our order was so rude he gave us such bad attitude while placing my order and when given my order as well not my fault he has to work on a holiday weekend

Worst del taco. Its super cheap so obviously you get what you pay for. The shift manager is really rude and unprofessional. Barely spoke english, but what he could do was yell at my aunt and I. Got my money back and decided to spend more somewhere else.

I already did a review but this is my last one since I won’t ever go to this location again. This is a 24-​hour fast food place so when I ask for a shake and they aren’t serving them when it’s not 5am yet is a little irritating.
Especially when I ask an employee when the hours are that they serve it and get a response as: 7 – 12 is when we serve them and then we have to clean it.
Okay, so how long does it take to clean? I find it hard to believe when I’ve gotten a shake at THAT location at 2am before. So thankyou for losing a guest who lives right by you!

I visit this Del Taco regularly, to the point that the staff know my name and usual order and I am friendly with the regular customers. (apparently I’m not the only one addicted to Del Taco)
I have been visiting the new Del Taco location in RSM as it is closer to me. I have so far been disappointed with the new location and shared my experiences here and realized I should share my good experiences with this (and other locations)
This Del Taco is one of many I frequent though this is the one I frequent most. Staff is always friendly, happy, smiling. They are always out in the dining room cleaning up. I don’t think I have ever had an order that wasn’t correct, wait times to get my food are usually pretty good too. Food is always good and I’ve found that this is the Del Taco standard I hold other locations to. I am. very happy with this Del Taco. I really hope the one in RSM gets better. If it does, I’ll miss coming here as much as I do. If they can’t get it together in RSM, I’ll just keep coming here.

I’m In the drive thru, and after I ordered tacos the lady responded with «Hard or Soft hahahaha, sorry» LMAO!

The food was fine, it was all prepared quickly and delivered quickly. No problems at all.
But what made this visit especially good was your employee Andrea. She is probably one of the most cheerful employees I’ve ever seen at a fast food restaurant. She even came over and collected our trays for her, as though this was a full service restaurant. Great experience and great job Andrea!

Service and efficiency sucks! The food is decent/​good. Communication with Tara (drive through lady) at the drive through is almost always a challenge and cannot comprehend orders or relay back information without dropping an attitude. I would hardly call this place FAST food, and often takes longer than In-​N-​Out. If youre looking to kill 20 – 30 min in the drive through (with only two cars ahead of you) then Del Taco is your place to be! Otherwise, I would consider other options. Tip for management: treat your employees to a class or two of customer service so they look like they dont hate their job as much.

I believe if a customer asks for a small container of fresh salsa they should get it for free, especially if they plan to order a meal there. At this location, they did not do that, in fact, they wanted to charge me an additional 46 cents. At the other location, on Marguerite Pkwy, they gave it to me for FREE. The name of the scrooge at the Alicia Pkwy location is Carlos Chavez. Beware of dealing with him, if you like your salsa!!!

Gabriel makes my trip worth it every time. Dudes got a great attitude and makes me laugh. Not the fastest service in the world, but people like him make it hard to be upset.

Happens every time. They are great but why is the drive thru sooo slow in the morning?

The WORST Del Taco in the area. If you want even halfway decent service do not got to this location.
They employees here are not trained at all. They always get orders wrong. It takes over 10 minutes whether you are in the drive-​thru or in the restaurant.
Let me tell you about a specific time. Today. I workout at LA Fitness and decided to drop in to get some food so I wouldn’t have to cook. Took a little longer to order because they were busy, no big deal.
When I got to the window I added one more taco to the order. Very simple, one chicken taco no cheese. Girl at the drive-​thru confirmed and charged my card. Didn’t get my receipt with my card. That should have been a hint at what was to come.
6+ min after waiting at the window I finally get my food. Basically shoved in my hands. I’m just glad to get out of there so I book it for home.
When I get home I check my food. I’m missing three chicken tacos. Instead, at the very bottom under the other chicken tacos, are three hard tacos WITH CHEESE.
So I call and they say they’ll fix my order, so I drive over. Took 10 min for anybody to ask me if I needed help. Finally got the managers attention and was able to get my tacos and they even through in a fry.
Home again. And one of the tacos isn’t mind. It belongs to the lady before me: a beef soft taco with green sauce.
Drive a little further to the locations on El Toro. Or a little further than that in Foothill Ranch, because they are next to corporate they are super efficient.

Its a love/​hate relationship with this place, but more hate than love. Every time I order food in the drive thru I NEVER receive the correct order. I thought it only happened to me but it happens to my family all the time as well. I always want to give them the benefit of the doubt but they always mess up. The only way I get a correct order is if I walk in and take my food to go. Kind of annoying to have to do. And not only that, they are stingy with the fries. I order the largest size and I always get half of the cup filled. It would be nice to get my moneys worth for once!

Just your average Del Taco. It does seem larger than other ones I’ve been to so that’s a plus, but as far as service or food quality, there’s nothing that makes it stand out against others.

I’d always had good food and good service at this Del Taco… that was until last week.
I’d ordered $ 3.24 worth of food in the drive-​thru during their lunch time rush, and things were moving slow. When I got to the window, I handed the guy a $ 20 bill and a quarter. The change and food came together without him counting anything out, so I stuck the change in the empty passenger seat, took the bag, and drove home.
You guessed it… when I got home, I’d been shorted $ 5. I checked the receipt… it said I’d paid $ 3.24 rather than the $ 20.25 that I’d given him, so there was no paper trail. *SIGH*
I hope the guy enjoyed his $ 5 tip because he lost his franchise owners a customer!

Love this del taco, always have. Super nice staff and food is almost always fresh and perfect. Chili cheese fries are always done so well here! Manager has been there for forever and hes so nice and polite. Always has a smile on his face :) perfect for late night or early morning munchies.

This is one of the better Del Tacos I’ve been to (in round numbers, about 100):
1. Food is fresh, and portions are full orders (don’t try to rip off the customer).
2. Staff is attentive, professional, and can be friendly, even though this is a busy location.
3. Clean premises: dining area is cleaned often, and the self-​serve soda fountain is cleaned regularly.
4. Ice Tea is reliably NOT watered down, like many franchises do nowadays.

Inexpensive, fresh, healthy, fast and tasty Mexican-​style food (with adequate protein per serving): Five Stars.

I work by the spell taco so I visit them frequently however this experience definitely brought the three-​star to a five-​star experience.
I came in during rush hour with a bunch of coupons for my coworker and I.
Jose the general manager was very professional and very polite. He had the patience do deal with out indecisiveness.
Jose made sure that we get out our food exactly like how we ordered even with the substitutions!!!
Great management is hard to come by these days you definitely have a jewel on your hands. Jose needs a promotion ASAP!

Probably the best Del I’ve been to!
Been going here for years and it’s very consistent; orders are always right and the quality of food is actually really good esp for fast food. Right off the freeway, this is the Del to go to

The location of the order board is in a terrible location because the order takers can’t hear your order over the traffic noise from Alicia Parkway. So, there were some misunderstandings about my Macho Nacho’s tonight. I asked for Beef Nachos, and they thought I said Bean Nachos. So then I had to clarify that the Macho Nacho’s come with beans, right? Oh yeah, but I got twice as many and got charged $.40 for them to add beans. Ok, fine, why not.
I get home to dig into these nachos, because I’m in such a hurry I don’t have time to make dinner. Meat, check, jalepenos and chips, yep, sour cream, yum. Beans? A tiny smattering, what? But wait, where’s the cheese?
I tried to call them to let them know what’s up and I get the fax machine, twice. Ugh.
So, next time you order nachos from this location be sure to tell them you want cheese.
