I’m not really sure what’s going on with this location. There’s another surfin donuts up the street off Trabuco that is way better, I totally suggest going there. it kind of seems like they keep coming up with more dishes and items and not paying attention to their money maker, the donuts! After all the place is called Surfin donuts. I think the price for one donut is like $ 1.50 there. I don’t know about you but I think that is way too expensive for a donut. Especially when there’s a really cool donut shop down the street where you can get a 75 cent donut and a $ 1.75 coffee. That’s another thing of this place, every time I go the coffees either lukewarm or the containers are empty and you have to wait for them to make more. If they just stuck to the basics such as having hot coffee and good prices on their donuts this place would be a gold mine. I’m pretty sure the prices keep going up because their spending so much money on wasted food in the back room because of the ever expanding menu. Stick to coffee and donuts guys and make it nice hot coffee, the community deserves it.

Okay so let’s be clear… there are TWO Surfin Donuts. One on Alicia near the 5 fwy and one at Trabuco/Alicia way past the 5 fwy. The latter(Trabuco/Alicia) is the real winner. While the first Alicia location is decent, it’s not as fresh as Trabuco. At this location, our chorizo burrito was tasty and big but the donuts were not fresh. And our iced mocha was pretty much coffee with a little squeeze of chocolate syrup somewhere in there over ice. We made the mistake of going to the better one first(Trabuco) and didn’t realize there were two different stores. I’d rather drive further up to enjoy the freshness at the Trabuco location. Btw, the Trabuco location is always packed which I now understand why.

This place is so awesome, its much more than a donut place, they have a ton of breakfast options, as well as drink options and a whole line of coffee craves to choose from! This has become kind of a regular weekend spot for my boyfriend and I, we usually stop by on Sunday mornings. It can get quite busy in here, and its so small that sometimes taking the food to go seems to be the best option. I am a huge fan of their breakfast sandwich, I get it on sourdough bread, the portions of bacon and/or sausage are generous! The fresh squeezed oj is yummy as well. And of course, their donuts are tasty, plus the staff is always super friendly and down to earth, keep up the great job guys!

Say it with me… prooooooonuts. What the heck is a pronut? If you’re a gym/fitness junkie like me, you’ll know it’s heaven! Basically it’s a protein donut. Yes, move over cronuts, dosants, and milky bun. Pronuts are basically donuts, but healthier ’cause it’s baked NOT fried and is made with protein powder so the macros(20g protein) are on POINT ya feel me?! Anyway I was following them on IG and finally got a chance to try it. I hope that they’ll open a location closer to me in the Costa Mesa/Westminster area. The thing about Surfin Donuts is that they are CONSISTENT. I’ve been here multiple times and the donuts are always as good as the first time. They have a good amount of chairs/tables and there is never a morning where it’s empty when I walk in. Apple Fritter — CONSISTENTLYBOMB!!! I seriously have gone to so many different donut shops and NONE make it as good as Surfin Donuts. Theirs is always perfectly crunchy on the outside yet chewy/soft enough on the inside and the ratio of filling inside is balanced. Seriously they make the best apple fritters I hope that they never change the recipe. It’s coated in glaze, but not too sweet and enough cinnamon throughout. It’s my favorite here and I always get it Pronuts — So the flavors change frequently based on the powder they use, but the frostings/toppings are limited to just the same 4(original glazed, chocolate, maple, crumb). They used to make the pronut bars, but now they only make it as a circle donut. I’ve tried the chocolate powder with chocolate glaze, chocolate powder with crumb topping, caramel lattee powder with crumb topping, vanilla powder with original glaze… yeah I’ve had a lot lol. But anyway, the donuts are huge and VERY filling. In other words, these contain about the same macros as a protein bar, but it’s in «donut» form. If you want something super close to tasting like a real donut, get the chocolate, crumb or glazed. The maple is just ok. REMEMBER… these are baked not fried so the texture is a bit different. If you try heating it up a bit in the microwave it helps also. These go for $ 2 a pop! Donut Holes — It’s a bit expensive for their donut holes, but these are bigger than most other places. Not too sweet either I’ve also heard their breakfast burritos are good, but I haven’t tried it yet! I’m too lazy to make my own batches of pronuts so I like that Surfin Donuts offers it. On top of that, they’re next door to LA Fitness and WNC :) Also conveniently located near the 5 fwy

LARRY’S DELI used to have great breakfast burritos, but SURFINDONUTS by far has taken the top spot! I always order the sausage breakfast burrito, which comes with sausage, egg, cheese, and hash browns/potatoes. Never a let down, and always consistent. Piping hot, and fresh. My recent visit I asked for no potatoes, and it was even more awesome! You would think the burrito would be smaller with no potatoes. Nope. Filled with eggs, sausage and cheese; every square inch filled! The donuts are great too. Not a huge donut fan, but they have some good ones!

I’m so mad! A friend of mine told me this was a good donut place. I pre-ordered 8 dozen donut holes and the employee said he would try to get me a discount. That was nice and I appreciated it. I sent my husband to pick them up. He came back with the 8 dozen plus 5 cake donuts and it was a whopppin’ $ 32!!! Are you kidding me? They were ORDINARY donut holes and pretty darn small… nothing special about them to warrant their sky high prices. I called to complain and the manager told me «Sorry.» That’s the best they can do? Geez. Could have offered me a couple of free donuts and I would have been happy. At least they could have tried to rectify the situation. Get over yourself Surfin’ Donuts. I live right around the corner, this is the first time I’ve ever been there, and not only will I never go back… but I’ll tell everyone I know to NEVER go there. This place is a total wipeout.

I say«donuts», you say ‘go nuts.” This place is off the hook. I asked for the ham and cheese croissant. The donut dude asked if I wanted the ham, cheese and jalapeño croissant instead. I said hells yeah. Boy, glad I did. It was cooked perfectly! One of the best I’ve had ever. Sooo good. Next I ordered the simple maple donut. So I thought. Donut dude pointed out it was a pronut. A donut that was baked not fried and I guess it had protein in it for the health conscious. Sorry, not at a donut shop to be healthy! They also served full sit down meals like eggs, bacon, omelets, hashbrowns, etc along with lunch items. You can also get these to go. Drink wise, they have redbulls, soft drinks, expressos, iced coffees. The donut shop is in a huge parking lot so don’t stress yourself out.

First time coming here and saw a sign at the front about a «pronut» — a protein donut. The pronut is a baked, not fried, doughnut made with protein powder($ 2). I decided to try the chocolate covered one and also got a hot latte(sm, $ 2.75 or so). It’s a pretty large size and heavily iced. The texture is like an airy bread. I had to wipe off some chocolate icing because I don’t like very sugary food, especially for breakfast. I liked it because it was not greasy or overly sweet like a real donut! Plus it had protein powder in it so I mentally felt like it was more nutritious. The latte was served nice and hot, but it was a little flat and hollow. It was a little more like coffee with milk mixed in, rather than feeling full and creamy like lattes from other places. The young guy and girl working there this morning were so nice and cute. Nice workers, clean place, also looked like a good variety of donut, pastry, croissant, breakfast and lunch sandwiches and more. Prices are not high at all either, just on point with your neighborhood donut shop. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and plan to return again for the pronut and sandwiches!

Surfin donuts BYFAR has the best breakfast burritos and breakfast sandwiches! They mix everything together in the burrito instead of most places putting one layer of cheese, egg, and potato. Their customer service is top notch! Love surfin donuts! Wish they delivered breakfast!

I was visiting Orange county was im thr mood for a decent breakfast so I looked around and found this place on Unilocal. Needless you say, I am glad I did because it made for an awesome breakfast. There are quite a few burritos to chose from but I picked the brahitto since It sounded really good even though it was breakfast time. It was awesome, I tried part of a breakfast burrito too with sausage and there is no question that the brahitto is the better burrito. Thrir sevice is good and tables are clean. Definately recommend this place for their burritos.

Quality food, for a reasonable price. I had a sausage breakfast burrito and a fresh squeezed orange juice. I underestimated the size of the sausage burrito. I only ended up eating half of it in my sitting(unheard of for me, right?!). It was flavorful, and especially good with their salsa verde. Word to the cook, please evenly distribute cheese. I didn’t find cheese until the bottom of my burrito. =/ I took home a raspberry filled doughnut, and was happy with how tart the filling was. I will be stopping by more often whenever I can.
