Horrible experience. Booked a hotel stay in advance not sure if I was going to be able to make the trip. As soon as I found out I couldn’t, I wanted to cancel — not with this hotel. They have a thirty day cancellation policy(unlike every other hotel in the world) and they refuse to cancel the reservation. Very upsetting and frustrating.

Staying in this hotel really made me feel like a fugitive on the run skipping town to town avoiding capture. The woman at the front desk was very pleasant.

Keeping in mind this hotel isnt a Ritz carlton or some other 5 star hotel, i think the hotel was overall pretty great. Slightly outdated, but I didn’t stay here for the ambiance. For the price, I was happy with the hotel. Clean bathrooms, comfy clean bed, friendly staff, great continental breakfast. Solid overall in the important things.

Don’t go here unless you want to party and puke before and after the ND game. I used my points to stay with my two sons after Mishawaka HS football game. I see them every 2 weekends. Beware: Choice hotels are 50⁄50(Quality/Sleep/Clarion/Inn, .). You can have one acceptable and then a dump. In this case I figured my chances were good in that I’m: 1) in Mishawaka next to the most upscale commercial locale in SB/Mish; 2) near ND with alot of adult football weekend parents 3) in a relatively new hotel(10−15yrs) The front desk looked nice and polished however I should have know better when I saw the elevator carpet was mis-matched, un-tacked and looked like someone overhauled an engine in there. My sons were tired and one got in bed and found a bug and asked me what kind it was. It wasn’t a bedbug but it was ladybug-size and black. Additionally: — Hallway, pool area and windows dirty — Furnishings had worn corners — Doors worn and chipped damaged at corners — Bathtub worn away coating to substrate at faucet — Toilet bowl wasn’t clean, looked like carbon deposit — hallway«marble» floors unpolished — the crock with the sausage gravy was crusted on the inside In short — this hotel was borderline seedy. Save yourself the embarassment of having your family look at you as to why you booked this joint. –G

Stayed night of August 21st2010. Room: Whirlpool Suite. 1st Floor. Price: $ 186 with tax. 2 P.M. House keeping ladies x 2 at check in desk. Asked our names and if we had reservations. Proceeded to tell us they couldn’t check us in. Older lady watching BET in the lounge area. Lazily sauntered over and checked us in. Gave us room keys. Told us we would be better off using side entrance and parking. Waddled back to watching BET. Drove to side entrance. Large sign posted that door was out of order! Room: Bathroom tub chipped, Whirlpool tub relatively clean.(Still bleached the shit out of it though). Bed linens clean. Mattress overly firm. Dust bunnies thought out the edges of the room — shows it hasn’t been swept for a while. Continental breakfast: Very austere. Thank god they had a waffle maker. I’m being overly generous with giving this hotel 2 stars. With what we payed for the room, it should really get 1 star.
