After a 12 hour journey through pretty crappy conditions this Best Western was quite an oasis. Clean, comfortable room. Nathaniel manning the desk this evening was extremely helpful. Steered us to a great delivery service to get dinner, let me help myself to teabags from the breakfast area even though it was closed for the day, even commiserating with me when I mentioned the outrageous amounts of tolls we paid driving through Pennsylvania and Ohio. The breakfast area looks quite inviting and I’m looking forward to trying it in the morning.

Clean and comfortable. Everything works just fine. Above all, Mary the desk clerk was very helpful and friendly. I even signed up for the rewards program because of her. Thanks Mary

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL rooms for a GREAT price. Superbly clean, fresh, and lovely. Very pup friendly, nice little run area on the side for them, and clean as well! My boys and I had a wonderful, peaceful stay.

Not exactly a BW Plus more of a BW just OK. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and it had a frig but the AC was very loud as it kicked in throughout the night and the WiFi was so weak in our 3rd floor room at the hall’s end that it was worthless. Also the breakfast was not the best when compared to the other chains that have a similar set-up — though I do like the waffles. It was quite a bit cheaper than the nearby Holiday Inn Express and Fairfield and that is why we chose it. I guess I can live with these flaws for the savings…

There is a Huge Mall across the Street from a bunch of Hotels. Norte Dame, Andrews, and Indiana University are not to far from the Hotels too. Your between Michigan and Indiana Borders. Rooms at Best Western here are very clean and the Staff is very very friendly. Free Wifi and breakfast starts at 6am-9am. Watch out there’s Pork in everything and the Eggs are salty like hell. The Breakfast is a combination on Bland and Salty. There is a Pool 4ft and Hot Tub Jacuzzi 4ft on the 1st floor and a Fitness Room next door on the Lobby Floor. The Elevator looks like a Closet Doorway and the Parking lot is a bit small.

Clean well maintained rooms with a helpful staff. Definitely a cut above nearby motels.

Did not get a wake up call and therefore missed the 9:00 deadline for the breakfast. The housekeeping knocked on the door twice before we even had the chance to pack our stuff up to leave. Pool was nice and that was about the extent of it. The price was good but missing breakfast rubbed me the wrong way. A decent place overall.

This place is okay. It’s what I expected out of a regular hotel stay. Room: Standard hotel room layout, with 2 queen beds, a desk/work area with a chair, large flat screen TV over a set of drawers, and a closet. The room size is similar to other hotels in that there’s not that much free space, which is fine. However, as soon as I walked in, there was a musty odor, like in some other hotel rooms. Bed: The beds were okay. Not the best, but not horrible either. The pillows were a bit too fluffy for my taste. Bathroom: This was pretty clean. We were in a handicapped room, so the bathroom had extra rails and a seat available, which was fine. The shower, sink, toilet, and toiletries were fine. Breakfast: Typical free hotel breakfast, which means it’s not that great, but edible. There are the usual options like cereal, juice, etc. There were some hot items, like sausage & gravy and microwavable burritos. Overall, based on the one night I stayed here, this place seems fine. Nothing too good or bad. I do think this place is nicer than Waterford Estates Lodge though, if you’re looking for a place to stay in South Bend. I would want to try some other hotels if I need to stay in one, but I would consider staying here again.
