You can’t beat the happy hour prices here. Bonfire is located by an Applebee’s and a Greenmill, but doesn’t even compare to their subpar food items. If your looking for good fresh food, this the spot. The steaks are excellent and cooked on their wood fire grill. If you don’t want to spend $ 20-$ 30 on a steak their happy hour is unbeatable. ALL of their starters and pizzas are HALFOFF from 3 – 6 and 9-close. Not to mention ALL alcoholic drinks are 2 dollars off from those times as well. Bonfire is a great resturant in the Blaine/Lino Lakes area!

First time here on a recommendation. Not much in the local area so here I am. On first impression it is a large open dining concept with a large wood fired oven as the focal point with a large bar as you walk into the property. The full bar is well stocked and was impressed the staff maybe a correct Manhattan. Most do not use both sweet and dry vermouth. So that was a bonus. Large amount of taps with local and national craft beers. I ordered the Filet Mignon with whiskey marinades mushrooms and onions and a double order of grilled asparagus. I would have removed the woody pith sections of the asparagus by snapping and not cutting the ends off. Much better end result. The steak was perfect medium rare and very tender. The mushrooms and onions would not order again. Not much to them and not a good value in my opinion. Texas Roadhouse has better for less. The server I had this evening was his first day. He had a backup and she was attentive and efficient. Overall I would come back but if I had better local options I would go there. Better than the alternatives in about a 15 minute drive. If your hungry you will get enough food. I would give a 3.5 but unable to so a 3 it is. This is an ok venue

I lived in Blaine all through growing up, and have passed by Axel’s Bonfire at least a dozen times. Today, about six year after moving out of Blaine, I finally stopped by Axel’s and had a meal there. Overall, I had a good experience, although it was really nothing spectacular. All around A-OK. The vibe is very interesting; it appears to be more«classy» thank other eateries in the area. The restaurant had a huge bar(first thing you notice when you walk in), and they have the extensive beer, wine and cocktail options to match. I really like that they serve a lot of local beers! They have a good food selection and variety on the menu, but nothing that really intrigued me. The food itself was perfectly OK — nothing memorable in either the good or bad spectrum. Service was also overall good and satisfactory. This is definitely one of those places that wouldn’t necessarily be my first option. However, given the other options in the area, it may top the list every time, because it’s a perfectly ok restaurant.

This was my first time for visiting this restaurant. I went with a large group of business colleagues. While the food was good, the service was not. We had two servers, but they were not working together. The female server was quite good, however the male one was not. He had our end of the table, and he seemed like he was just checking the box by being there. He did not know what kind of salad dressings were available, he never asked how I wanted my steak cooked, and while he took our order, we didn’t see him much after that. But the worst part was that the dinners were not served in unison. Our end of the table got our food at least 10 minutes after our colleagues got theirs. We only got it then because the waitress was walking by and noticed we didn’t have our meals. There was no manager to be seen in the dining room, which is surprising for a busy weekday night. Anyway, it was a good meal with colleagues, but the service left a lot to be desired.

Have been to the other locations, but first time to this one. Quite surprised. Happy hour from 4−6pm(?) with half price appetizers and half off their pizzas. Of course nobody ordered, but their Bonchos looked amazing. Food ordered: Bacon Belly Burger. First time it was a bit too rare, but they remedied it and it came out perfect with fries and a pickle. Arizona Wrap with fries. Nice size wraap with fresh vegetables. Tequila Lime Fettucini. This was not loved. Too many peppers and the sauce was not well loved, but the chicken in it was good. Our server was adorable and was excellent all around. Would definitely return to this location.

My brother and came here for lunch and I think it’s a bit pricey. The Cajun burger did not have a Cajun flavor at all. When I think Cajun I think spicy, it tasted like a regular burger with bacon on it. The French fries were to greasy for me. But on a positive note the pickle was great and the buns were fresh. I tried his grilled chicken sandwich and it was to salty for me. The chicken was spicier than the burger. The service was ok, everyone was very friendly and helpful but slow for not being very busy. I would give this a 21⁄2

I’ve been here about 3 or 4 times since they reopened with a new menu and slightly new name. The food is fantastic(Cajun chicken penne is my favorite so far) and the staff is pleasant and nice. In fact, speaking of the food, i spoke with the marketing manager some time ago before coming here. Very nice person, and it seems like they may even try to introduce organic food in the future. The food here is natural, unlike another popular restaurant in the area. The atmosphere is fun and not too loud usually; it’s like a quiet, rustic bar from an old western. I highly suggest this locale for almost any occasion.
