Stopped here for lunch and decided to grab a burger. The place wasn’t busy at all as it was early afternoon on a Saturday. One of the first things I notice on our way to be seated was the person selling pull tabs had her head down with her eyes closed trying to sleep at the pull tab station. Now that isn’t a rip on the food or service since I didn’t actually play but it’s still present in the restaurant with people walking by which just isn’t very professional. She did«awaken» a few minutes later after we sat down. Just something I didn’t expect to see in what looked to be a little nicer place than other restaurants. I’m sure she is a sub contractor of the restaurant but none of the other staff even said anything to her. Anyway enough with the pull tab lady, service & food were decent. My burger was good but I wasn’t blown away. I also got a house salad which was also decent but again nothing to write home about. So to sum everything up, average, average, average. I liked the environment of the place more than the actual food. With a nicer environment you do expect better than average offerings which just wasn’t the case for me. I would give it another go in the future if I happen to be in the area but it won’t be first on my list.

We just bought a house a few blocks from this place and decided to check out their breakfast. Let me tell you – THEHASHBROWNSARETODIEFOR! I don’t know what they put in those things, but if you go for breakfast, you have to get them! The service was amazing! We left with full bellies and were very happy with the service We will definitely be back!

Been several years since we’ve eaten here and now I remember why. Ambience is nice, service is ok, but the food is just so subpar for the price. I got the prime rib. It was cold… not even warm. I couldn’t taste any horseradish in the horseradish sauce. The au jus was like water. Came with some type of glazed carrots, again bland and no taste. Didn’t eat them. The garlic mashed potatoes were cold, if they were at least warm I think they would have been ok. The child in our group wouldn’t eat her dinner. Another person got filet and shrimp scampi. Shrimp overcooked and chewy. There was Rosemary on the scampi, wouldn’t have gotten if we knew that. Filet was ok, just overcooked. Plate was loaded with crisp onions, like Frenchs onions. Strange scalloped potatoes. Tried one bite, not good. We were never asked how our food was. Only reason we were here was cuz of gift card, but if I would have had to pay $ 100 for my dinner tonight I would not have been happy. This place has tons of potential to be really good, but the food is holding it back.

My husband and I decided to eat at Axels after picking up flowers at Home Depot. We were there at 330 and the only table inside. There was 1 table outside. We ordered a quesadilla appetizer that was so overcooked that the tortilla had the texture of a cracker. Then we waited a total of 50min for our burger and rib basket. I received the wrong type of fries and my burger bun was so hard it crumbled. The bacon wasn’t cooked all the way. My husband’s food was cold. The server did not apologize and the manager wouldn’t come out to speak with us. If we could give zero stars we would.

I had high hopes for this restaurant but it fell short. It is located in a nice shopping center with lots of stores and restaurants which appeared to be fairly new. The facility itself was nice with a large bar and wood fire ovens giving a comfortable ambiance. The menu had a wide variety of choices from fish, steaks, pastas and pizzas. I had the beer battered walleye sandwich with fries which was very tasty and a good amount of food. The reason I am giving this location three stars is due to overall service, speed of the bar and restaurant cleanliness.

Can’t beat the happy hour for both food and drinks! We come for the steak salad. Burgers and pizza are great too. Service is phenomenal! We come regularly and on the rare occasion where something wasn’t quite right, they made it right. Great place for groups. Special thanks to Jeremiah and Nancy. Both are rock stars!

Their happy hour is an amazing deal. The Bonfire burger is my favorite thing on the menu.

Went at 2:30, Today, Saturday and it took waitress an entire half hour to come take our drink orders. 15 minutes to get drinks and order meal even tho the restaurant was nearly empty. I don’t mind the wait for good food, and that is what I was expecting looking at the prices in the menu but the food was awful. How can you be served cold mashed potatoes and when you bring it up to the waitress attention not even an appology. I was finished with my meal when the warmed ones were brought out. I just feel so ripped off and will not be going back again.

Can’t beat the happy hour prices here! Half off all apatizers and pizzas from 3−6pm and 9pm-close plus $ 2 off all drinks! The bull bites are my favorite(steak tenderloin tips seasoned with cajun.) The atmosphere is romantic and unlike other resturants in the area. I would highly recommend bonfire to anyone who lives in the area!

First time here on a recommendation. Not much in the local area so here I am. On first impression it is a large open dining concept with a large wood fired oven as the focal point with a large bar as you walk into the property. The full bar is well stocked and was impressed the staff maybe a correct Manhattan. Most do not use both sweet and dry vermouth. So that was a bonus. Large amount of taps with local and national craft beers. I ordered the Filet Mignon with whiskey marinades mushrooms and onions and a double order of grilled asparagus. I would have removed the woody pith sections of the asparagus by snapping and not cutting the ends off. Much better end result. The steak was perfect medium rare and very tender. The mushrooms and onions would not order again. Not much to them and not a good value in my opinion. Texas Roadhouse has better for less. The server I had this evening was his first day. He had a backup and she was attentive and efficient. Overall I would come back but if I had better local options I would go there. Better than the alternatives in about a 15 minute drive. If your hungry you will get enough food. I would give a 3.5 but unable to so a 3 it is. This is an ok venue

Stopped in for happy hour — which is a pretty good deal — ½ price apps. and pizzas. The spicy pepperoni pizza was fine — very garlicky. And we had some BBQ char wings that were super tasty. The best wings are always the grilled ones. Plenty of TVs to watch the game and ice cold taps.

P A T H E T I C I was here during the day, and I can’t help but wonder how a restaurant can screw up lunch so badly yet have a good dinner. They can’t. Now, typically, the«A» SQUAD doesn’t work many lunches. So that is part of the problem. They have a crappy attitude because lunches do not yield the volume and prices necessary to acrew large gratuities. I was served lukewarm coffee, and a cheeseburger that made a Burger King cheeseburger look and taste desirable. The Chicken Tortilla Soup, while very flavorful, should be renamed Tomato Tortilla Soup. But here’s the kicker for me: We arrived at 2:45 pm, were given the dinner menu, and when I asked the distracted server if they had a lunch menu, she informed me yes, but it was over at 3pm. That is not unusual. I just said, «is it that late already?» — we had been shopping. So contemplated the dinner menu, didn’ want to pay State Fair prices for bull bites for a middle of the day snack, so ordered the burger. After she left the table, I looked at my phone and it was 3:01. Called her out on it, and all she had was that another had just come in and she worked at 3pm, so it must be 3. Mind you, by the time she took our order we were the only customers in there. It took over 10 minutes to get our food. Really? All this restaurant has is a cool fireplace and a cozy interior, thankfully. Take away: Axel’s wants to stay open between lunch and dinner, they just don’t want to serve or cook for you. I lived in Blaine all through growing up, and have passed by Axel’s Bonfire at least a dozen times. Today, about six year after moving out of Blaine, I finally stopped by Axel’s and had a meal there. Overall, I had a good experience, although it was really nothing spectacular. All around A-OK. The vibe is very interesting; it appears to be more«classy» thank other eateries in the area. The restaurant had a huge bar(first thing you notice when you walk in), and they have the extensive beer, wine and cocktail options to match. I really like that they serve a lot of local beers! They have a good food selection and variety on the menu, but nothing that really intrigued me. The food itself was perfectly OK — nothing memorable in either the good or bad spectrum. Service was also overall good and satisfactory. This is definitely one of those places that wouldn’t necessarily be my first option. However, given the other options in the area, it may top the list every time, because it’s a perfectly ok restaurant.

The food was alright, but nothing spectacular. I went there for a friends birthday with a small party and we were not served until way much later into the night. The fault was not the waiters/waitresses but the fault of the cooks and the kitchen! When our food was finally brought to us, each at different times, the food was not hot, but a mildly warm. I appreciate the attempts at making our night better by the waiting staff but I would not return, really ever.

After coming back for the 3rd time in a month, I thought its about time I Unilocal! Every time we have been here the service has been OUTSTANDING. We most recently went for their $ 6 Bloody Bar on the weekends! AMAZING!!! They had everything from sausage to hard boiled eggs, 4 different types of mix, and even PICKLEJUICE! I would trek it out to Blaine ANYDAY over paying $ 15 for a bloody bar at Hell’s Kitchen. Now, the food! We haven’t been disappointed yet with anything we have ordered. The standout item is by far the breakfast pizza! It has a delicious red cream sauce as the base topped with eggs, tri color peppers, cheese, onions, and bacon. It is the perfect blend of ingredients on a yummy crust! Keep in mind it is large enough for two people! But the leftovers re heat really well for lunch!

Have been to the other locations, but first time to this one. Quite surprised. Happy hour from 4−6pm(?) with half price appetizers and half off their pizzas. Of course nobody ordered, but their Bonchos looked amazing. Food ordered: Bacon Belly Burger. First time it was a bit too rare, but they remedied it and it came out perfect with fries and a pickle. Arizona Wrap with fries. Nice size wraap with fresh vegetables. Tequila Lime Fettucini. This was not loved. Too many peppers and the sauce was not well loved, but the chicken in it was good. Our server was adorable and was excellent all around. Would definitely return to this location.

Went into Bonfire for an lunch meeting this week. After having read some reviews I went in with low expectations but left very happy. First off, we had great service. Our server was friendly and attentive and gave some great advice about what to order. I order the Cowboy Tacos and they were excellent; pulled pork, topped with crunchy onions, and coleslaw in a flour tortilla. I would definitely have them again… or try to recreate them at home. My friends ordered other lunch fare… salads, soup and everything was great. It was a little quiet on a Tuesday afternoon and was great for our meeting. I will go back again if in the area.

I was able to make reservations online very easily. I was promptly and welcomingly greeted at the door. The place was very clean and had a nice atmosphere to it. Our server was very nice and attentive. The food was good but I felt it was a bit overpriced. I order the steak with mashed potatoes. Those were not just any mashed potatoes, however, they were buttermilk bacon… and yes, they were excellent as they sound. For 2 entrees, 1 soda and 1 alcohol beverage, the total was $ 49 without tip. While my food was good, I don’t think the value was all that impressive. Also, it took a long time to get the food and it was not piping hot like I would have expected it to be. There was a glaze over the potatoes which means to me it had been sitting around for a little while. The place was not particularly busy so this surprised me a bit. Not likely to return unless someone else is paying and there is a absolute desire to go there.
