The grilled catfish was good, sides were fair to bad. The potato salad taste like the store-​bought stuff you get at Kroger’s. Look like it too.

We have been here several times so time to review. Mostly good. Chicken fry was good and the ribeye was cooked just right. Good job guys! Very seldom do I get a steak that is just right. Steamed veggies were still kind Of hard. A little more time on the steamer. We got a sampler plate and the fried green tomatoes and poppers were great. The fried mushrooms were in the fryer way to long. Pretty hard, or shall I say extra crunchy? Overall, a great place to eat and we will be back.

The food was excellent! We met here with friends from out of state. My only complaint is about the kids meals. It says that the kids food comes with rolls and two sides. However in the list some of the food items have a side listed in parenthesis (in posting a picture). Well those specific food items do not in fact come with two sides. Not knowing this, I ordered two side for each kids meal. The bill came and there were two sides listed at $ 2.99 each. I asked the waitress who then, and only then, explained to me that not all the kids meals come with two sides. She was very nice about it (she was a great waitress the entire time!) and offered to talk to the manager. Well then the manager came over and explained it to me and then just sat there looking at me. I told him that the menu implies the kids meals all come with two sides (again see the photo I posted) and that had I know this particular meal only came with one I wouldn’t have ordered two. He never once offered to take them off. He did eventually say he could change the items to «dinners» and that would save us $ 1.50 per meal. At this point I was highly annoyed with him and said okay. The super sweet waitress came back a few minutes later saying they had taken off the two side charges and she apologized saying she could have explained it to me when o was ordering. Again, she was a great waitress and very nice the entire time. The manager however was a real jerk about it.

Good stuff good food. The lighting in the corners have a bit to desired. But recommend the food all the food. The Sampler was awesome, best fries in mineral Wells.

This was the best barbecue that I have had in a long time. I had the two meat plate with brisket and sausage. The brisket was very tender and the sausage is the best I ever tasted. The meats were smoked to perfection. The wait staff is friendly and helpful. Brittany had a smile on her face and took a few minutes to talk with me and I didn’t feel rushed. I will stop back in the next time I am in Mineral Wells and eat there again.

If you are in the area, this IS the place to eat. Clean friendly and down home type of place. You will smell the hint of mesquite smoke in the air, they sell BBQ dont you know and it is said if you dont smell/​see smoke it ant BBQ. The catfish, ribs, grilled chicken and of course the Texas staple chicken fried steak was all so good.

I enjoyed a very delicious grilled pork chop with mashed potatoes and cowboy beans. The pork chop was grilled to perfection, the mashed potatoes was perfectly prepared and the cowboy beans were absolutely delicious. The food was excellent, the service was outstanding and the ambiance was exceptionally soothing. This is one of my typical lunches for Sunday while I may have a hamburger steak for Tuesday lunch and a Rib-​eye steak on Friday evenings. In my opinion this is one of the best steakhouses in the state of Texas.

Pricey but you get quite a bit of food. The armadillo eggs are INCREDIBLE. Staff are nice. Service is okay. Blooming onion was bland and not worth it. Chopped brisket was great! Pork ribs had the look, texture, and taste of sliced ham (i guess they were just that heavily smoked) — which was good but seemed below the mark for bbq house ribs.

Have no idea why anyone have this place a negative review. Everything was excellent. Great food great service and great drinks. Loved everything.

Just had lunch here. 2 meat combo. The brisket was mostly gristle. Sausage was dry. Potatoes and beans were not good either. Service was good. I should have stopped at the DQ. My lunch would have been more satisfying.

Great food. Waited a while for a to go order that should have already been done when I arrived. Customer service good could have been better but it was an OK experience.

Very average. I was traveling through town, headed to Fort Worth where there are about 100 places better than this place. I had a two meat combo plate, beef brisket/​sausage, sides of «cowboy beans» and potato salad with tea. Dinner came with two yeast rolls and one piece of cornbread.
Good:
Excellent, prompt service. Great atmosphere. Tasty beans (cross between pinto beans and «ranch-​style» beans. Soft rolls and pretty good cornbread. There was large servings of all items.
Bad:
Brisket was very dry with zero fatty trim. Sausage had little flavor. Potato salad was mustard based and good but had the consistency of mashed potatoes; couldn’t really taste the components.
I paid $ 18.38 for lunch which is a bit pricey. Oddly, this place allows for smoking in the bar area but there was no one there. The bar area is open to the restaurant area which is not good but they told me that they had extra ventilation in there. While not just terrible, I would not go out of my way to go to this place. Next time, I’m going to try Woody’s for a hamburger.

Whenever I am here I have to stop. The grilled pork chop, I am convinced this is the best chop you can purchase at a restaurant! I would like to sample some other stuff but just can’t pass on that thing. Best with loaded baked potato.

Spectacular salad with fresh ingredients throughout, avocado ranch seem to have less avocado and overwhelming ranch. Ranch does not appear «homemade» as stated in their menu. Overall meal was fantastic in this town. Would grade the restaurant A, 93%.

The food is excellent. Just dandy. I’d highly recommend getting yourself the pork chop. The only downside I can think of is that they have diet RC instead of diet coke, and no regular RC. But, eh! Nor that big of a deal.

Our visit while passing through was met with mixed results. My wife’s filet was cooked perfectly and my ribs were delicious. Unfortunately the fries suffered from being cooked in under temperature oil so they were soggy. The coleslaw was just OK but really uninspired when compared to many others we have experienced.
The service was very good considering the level of activity … Lots of patrons the night we visited.

We were visiting the area from Kansas City to photograph a wedding and coming from the BBQ capital of the US, I was BLOWN AWAY! The service was wonderful, I believe her name was Lindsey? We had the fried green tomatoes and we both got the rib eye and it was the best everything we have ever had. Including the beer and bloody mary. Wish we could visit more often!

Oh man that was a lot of food but I handled it Ny Steak cooked perfectly and the hush puppies were amazing I’m glad I came here and not chilies.

Where do I start?
Everything here is exceptional. The food is perfect Texas BBQ, the service is pleasant but not annoying, and the atmosphere screams honey.
You should try this.
It is the best BBQ IN TEXAS.
