Atmosphere is great for an after work meeting or meeting with clients off site. Food took forever. We ordered around 6:00 did not get our food for our group of 12 till 7:37. It’s just sandwiches and flatbreads and salads here no reason it should take this long. No apology for delay either. They just acted as if the amount of time this took was normal. Gave it two star because of the atmosphere being very nice.

Really nice place to get a class of wine after class or at the end of the workday. Great atmosphere and plenty of seating options for larger groups.

The only reason for one star is because of the exceptional customer service from the two young girls that work the register/baristas. I have been to the Hudson twice. Both times there was an older women cooking in the back. It was beyond distracting, while i eating my meal at the bar to hear the way she was talking to the other employees. I think she’s a manager. She was so demeaning to these girls. I asked them about her. They were very professional and wouldn’t say anything bad, but I could see it in their faces, through their forced smiles. The Hudson needs to consider whos working for them. Until then, they have lost my buisness, and my consideration for membership for me, and my 5 employees. I will not support a buisness that cannot provide a work environment free of harassment. It’s 2016 hudson!

My initial impression of Hudson Business Lounge was that it was going to be upscale and pretentious. Color me wrong. I enjoyed a great cup of coffee and a scone and the atmosphere is really nice. It was a freezing day and the warm fire was quite welcome. I didn’t stay to work, but there seemed to be ample space to plug in, spread out, and work away. It was quiet, but not library quiet. It’s in a great location for people watching while hanging out or working. The barista was friendly and helpful. I had my coffee and breakfast in less than five minutes. Two thumbs up!

As a business consultant, I am usually onsite at client locations. However, in between client meetings I am often looking for a place to sit, have tea and work. I have driven past Hudson many times but haven’t ventured in because I wasn’t sure about the structure and membership requirements. I was pleasantly surprised by Hudson. Friendly, welcoming staff(server, bartender, concierge), warm, inviting atmosphere, steady stream of people, ambient rather than excessive noise, simple but solid food and beverage selections. I spent two hours at Hudson working, enjoying tea and a sandwich. For those of you who haven’t visited Hudson before, there is an open section that is open to the public and it is like a normal coffee shop/bar/restaurant with nice table selections, a bar, lounge chairs and a fireplace. There is also a members section that offers a variety of workspace options depending on your need. Before becoming a member I will try it out a few more times, but I love the concept and had a great first experience.

Pretentious place owned by a group of wealthy Milwaukee investors. They need to stop treating this place like it’s some upscale country club and call it like it is, a mediocre spot to work with lousy coffee and busted up cheap furnishings.

Great location in the third ward and beautiful space with nice and relaxing layout. My wife and i come up from Chicago to our weekend place and stop in usually in the evening for a coffee or drink and enjoy this nice venue. We are always in the open bar area but I’ve checked out the large working space and it looks great also. So many great coffee and bar options in MKE including Collectivos, etc etc and this one ranks w da best. Enjoy!

Great study/work spot. Great drinks and food. HOWEVER, the caliber of the work staff does not match the upscale local. My friend and I studied here for a few hours and every time someone ordered food, the workers would complain in the back about actually having to work. Shouting«Where is the ranch?!» when I ordered a salad and«Someone ordered a cheese plate?!» after my friend placed her order.

This is a techie’s delight. You can have a beer, tons of micro beers on tap and a nice wine list. Just in case you didn’t get your work finished by 5 you can hanker into this place and at least drink while you work. I think the seven dwarfs should have drank instead of whistled. They also have a nice cheese platter selection, they offered two options a half plate and a whole plate. My platter had three different Wisconsin cheeses, two nut, olives and crackers. It went nicely with my white wine. They offer half price drinks during happy hour which is 4 to 6 each day. The bartenders were very friendly, I did ask where I should visit and they didn’t have much to offer, but they laughed when I asked if they had seen the Bronze Fonz statue???

Had an event here for W Girls and arrived a little late with busy parking. The bartender/server was very nice and before she showed me the conference room offered to get me some wine because I was late and all the other members had wine. I of course accepted and it was kind of her to offer before showing me the way. I love the space there are many conference/meeting rooms and they have a large selection of snacks and a full bar. It was a bit stuffy in the meeting room but I think because it was an especially warm day.

A really great place for people who are maybe doing startups or just need a business space to work or meet. Simple menu, bakery(day old is half price… I am just saying) coffee drinks or wine. Really mellow alone, with clients or friends. Walking distance to everything Third Ward! Hard parking but that’s the nature of the beast downtown or Third Ward.

If only corporate offices were as smooth and comfortable as the Hudson Business Lounge, a lot more people would be happy about their jobs. ratings would go up. Political knives might become dull(though remember that a dull knife can be less safe than a sharp one!). I occasionally visit friends in Milwaukee, and sometimes I go early to do some work in cafes. But nowhere is finer than Hudson. It’s like working at home without working at home, if you know what I mean. My gripe about working at home is that it’s isolating, it’s hard to separate work from home life(work can creep and take over), and it can be easy to get distracted. The fact that they have an espresso bar here and a full alcohol bar is perfect, even for bringing in a client for a relaxed discussion. They have a choice of very comfy seats, tables, or hanging out at the bar. They even have a fireplace. I don’t know much about Milwaukee, but the location seems great too. I don’t know of anything like this place in Chicago, where there is a space that is accessible to non-members. We do have collaborative workspaces like 1871, but it’s a minimum of $ 300 per month to join, or $ 200 if you only go once per week. Highly recommended.

I came to work there, and the space is very cool, there is always some place to get down to business. Had one of my best client meetings there ever with an architect from Chicago that couldn’t believe it and couldn’t stop taking pictures. The service and concierge put it over the top. The food and bar are such a bonus. Chef Jenny amazes me with what she puts out of the kitchen. Fresh from scratch soups will blow you away. Sandwich specials are brilliant! Work for awhile, grab a bite to eat or coffee, but stay late for the wine, cocktails and craft beers. A great atmosphere to chill. I likey.

This place is great. I came here with my girlfriend on a Saturday so that we could each get some work done. Normally, we end up going to a coffee shop around the area, but I normally get distracted by the louder music and conversations. My experience at Hudson was exceptional. It was quiet enough that I could focus on my work, even though the place was pretty packed. Normally, I prefer a library, but since this place is within walking distance, and has drinks(good beer on draft, wine, cocktails, and a full coffee bar), it’s hard to pass up.

This is a great place to get work done, or catch up on your reading. The staff are friendly, and courteous. The atmosphere and music is great unless Alex is playing her 90’s mix. Jk.

If you need a place to work from when on the go, they rent space. You can avoid meetings at the mermaid. A bit more professional for us consultants. And… they have beer, wine and coffee. Yay. Went here last night for a nitecap with wifey. Pretty empty and quiet but it’s all good. Had the place to ourselves. Friendly staff and good vibe.

Every coffee shop needs to look at this place and take notes! Plugs strategically placed, ample tables and chairs, a looooong bar to sit and drink. Cozy but also accessible if you need to get work done. Drinks were very good and was very happy to see they have almond milk not just soy. Drinks: 5⁄5 Service: 5⁄5 –Super friendly Location: 5⁄5 — Can someone open one up in Indy?!

The Hudson is a great idea and something Milwaukee needs! It’s the perfect setting for business professionals to work and collaborate. I really like the open concept working space. It seems to encourage interaction and the community«feel.» Also the amenities they offer are very beneficial with adding to the working environment. They have a great coffee shop and menu. Their sandwiches and salads are delicious! Also a little glass of wine never hurts to get those creative juices flowing! The one downfall is parking. It is a tad inconvenient finding parking but it always seems to work out in the end! It is also a safe environment with having to swipe your membership card when you enter. I feel totally comfortable leaving my computer at my desk if I need to run outside. Overall, totally worth the membership!

With a burgeoning group of tech professionals, business owners, start-ups, etc., the Hudson is just what MKE needed. For those not familiar, the Hudson is a co-working space/office space for working folks with non-traditional office situations. Maybe you’re like me and you work from home! Maybe you run a couple restaurants but haven’t the space to conduct meetings in any of those said restaurants. Maybe you work from home and you have kids and they don’t let you get anything done and they pull on your pant leg and scream for cookies all the time. Maybe you need a professional space to conduct presentations… you get the idea. So, the Hudson: become a member, or don’t. Different levels/tiers of membership are available at the Hudson, but you needn’t be a member to enjoy their coffee bar/bar bar, rustic décor, cozy fireplace and open concept ‘receiving’ area. Go, order a thing, sit in a comfy chair, watch the snow fall outside and work it from the comfort of the common area. That said, membership at a very basic level seems pretty inexpensive, and you’re afforded use of their conference rooms, internet, other office-y type capabilities, etc. From there, you can«level up» should you so choose.(More info on pricing/tiers of membership/benefits of said tiered memberships available here: ) Parking the Ward seriously sucks, so if you’re at a metered spot you’ll need to plug that –ish every two hours.(Their site boasts that the Hudson has«tons of easy parking,» and while there are in fact two structures about two blocks away in opposite directions, that parking is not free, and street parking certainly isn’t easy.) Rachel recommends: That you check this place out. Networking events, and a great space that’s centrally located just south of downtown, a nice staff and a professional/comfortable vibe make the Hudson a great spot to get some work done. Get ‘er done.

First of all, this is not just a coffee and tea lounge. Hudson offers small business owners and start-ups a place to have actual office space without having to commit to large square-footage and large lease payments. You can rent a desk and a share in a common area for a couple of hundred per month or less! Yet, you’d still have access to rent out conference rooms or other facilities depending on your need. There are small offices, large offices, conference rooms, video conference rooms, and again a large common area with several«drop-in» cubes, all of which are furnished with lighting, chairs, desks, and phone and data connections. As an added bonus, there is an espresso lounge/wine bar connected to the facility that offers coffee, beer, wine, assorted baked goods and breakfast items. The lounge is open 6AM-11PM. Want to have a more professional presence, but you can’t afford large office space yet, go visit the friendly staff at Hudson. THEYAREOPENFORBUSINESSNOW!
