I found this place as I was browsing through Downtown Milwaukee and I stopped in to grab some brunch when I saw all day breakfast! I also like to try local coffee roasters! I tried the vegetarian sausage biscuit and it was very tasty. I was drawn in by the description ending with Maple Syrup, yum! The biscuit was a very heart size and all the flavors blended very well. Ordered a Cortado coffee and I enjoyed it. The interior is very simple and rustic and a great place to grab a bite and get some work done or to relax and people watch!

We stopped here while walking around the Third Ward. The space is pretty large, and the coffee is excellent. I had the«Black & Tan», which was one of the best coffees that I have ever had. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes to prepare though, so if you’re in a hurry you probably want to get something else. There’s a large seating area, so this is a good space to work or to meet up with friends.

Enjoyed this coffee house and environment. This is a super location and super local chain of great coffee as I try to hit everyone of the great coffee houses in Milwaukee. I was not disappointed at all despite the cramped and crowded evening in this house, which show the popularity of this place in the area.

Never disappoints. Had the Santa Fe quiche with blue corn crust — yum — and a tea from their vast selection. Not to mention their team is welcoming and genuinely happy to help guide you in your selections! Left with a bag of their Sumatra roast as a souvenir!

Stopped in at this location across the street from the public market to check out their coffee. Right from the start, I liked their environment and felt comfortable there. I could make this a regular haunt of mine if I lived in the area. Service was friendly. I ordered their weekly special which was some type of Sumatra free trade type. Wow, this coffee was excellent. I liked it so much, I picked up a bag to bring home. Excellent coffee. They have lots of other items to get but I only had the coffee. I will most definitely stop there again when I am in the area. Check it out for yourself. Cheers to all

Best coffee in Milwaukee! The staff was friendly and accommodating. They do not have true cold brew tho — they have brewed coffee over ice, which was disappointing because I thought everyone has gotten on the cold brew train by now?

Everytime I’m in Milwaukee, I make it a point to come here! I especially like this location because it’s located in the Third Ward area which makes it a great place for people-watching or just to chill after a stroll. Since they have free wifi as well, I also always see people doing work here.(but it’s never too crowded that you can’t find a table) So far I’ve tried their latte and hot chocolate, and I only have great things to say about both. The baristas love and enjoy what they do which is nice to see. Their cheap prices are a huge plus too. If you ever find yourself in the area, make sure to stop bym and hopefully Colectivo will have a special place in your heart just like it does in mine(: PS: GORGEOUSTO-GOCUPS? YESPLEASE.

Try a Soy Café Au Lait for a nice creamy coffee that is still strong and not too milky. The Peanut butter bar is so yummy! For something more savory the White Bean Chilli is perfect for a Fall night’s dinner.

I’m a coffee snob. Self-admitted, and okay with that. So I can can get amazing coffee almost anywhere, so friendliness and customer service always makes or breaks a place. They were so friendly from start to finish and the customer service was excellent. The other patrons were also friendly and down to earth. The décor was so awesome– but I’m a sucker for rustic, industrial, homey vibes. Absolutely recommend this location. Oh yeah, my fiancé’s coconut mocha was delicious and my cortado was perfect.

Great coffee. Lovely ambience. There are large open windows that open to a view of the street so a great spot for people watching. I heard good things about this place and decided to try it. I’m a traditionalist so I like to get a cappuccino as my baseline drink for a standard of comparison. It was hot outside so the barristas suggested an iced cappuccino — which I’ve never had. I got it and they sold me! Flavor is strong but very smooth and offers a different complexity than a hot cappuccino. The foam is thicker and lasts longer. Very pleased. Highly recommend to any coffee lovers.

Really really ridiculously good coffee. I’m a bit sensitive to acidic foods, so I really appreciated that they rate their brews by acidity. Fair warning that their«small» sizes are REALLY small; around 8oz, while at most cafés a small is 12oz.

If I lived around here, I would study at this place all the time! I love the cool stools by the window where you can sit, socialize, and people watch. They also have long sofas along the wall and there’s wifi! The drinks here are yummy and they sell food here, too. So if you get hungry during your study session, you can just order a sandwich or something. My friends and I were visiting Milwaukee for the day and we all got various drinks(tea, espresso, and latte) and we all enjoyed our drinks very much.

Nice little shop. I’m told that it was renamed from Alterra coffee, and the beans were still delicious. I had a cappuccino, which was expertly prepared. They offer both still and fizzy water on tap for the taking, and I’m a big fan of bubbles dancing across my tongue; so I was a taker. It’s relatively small, and the one side has comfy chairs wooden chairs and tables, while there are stools and very narrow tables in the middle and by the window. I started out there, looking out the window at Milwaukee’s wonderful market; but it seemed a little cramped for my laptop(though doable); so I moved to a table when one opened up. Great place to meet a friend, but less so to linger, work or study, unless you don’t feel guilty about not turning over a table to the smiling faces walking in the door. And those smiling faces are certainly greeted by smiling faces behind the counter.

I love Colectivo, and adore how this one’s like a «Colectivo Express.» This location is small but convenient for those wanting their quick fix. And being located in the midst of bustling city professionals and students on the go, this is the perfect walk-through, or «walk-thru,» for every one on the move. Even though this is a smaller location, it holds its own, especially being across the Milwaukee Public Market, and Starbucks being only a block away. You can’t miss this place because there’s a large orange mural– that replicates one of their cups– painted outside the store. The ambiance is low-key, and I like how it reminds me of a warehouse. When it’s warmer out, they don’t just open their windows. They open an entire wall. It’s just like watching someone opening a door of a freaking DeLorean. It’s pretty glorious. There were a couple things that prevented this location from getting a five-star rating. First of all, I’m a huge fan of Colectivo’s sandwiches. However, when I ordered a Turkey Club, it was ice cold, almost frozen. Then again, I did order it when they were recently opened for business, so perhaps they were still working out kinks? Secondly, in addition to the review posted about their pastry box: I have to agree. On more than one occasion, I’ve seen fruit flies swarming about, so be cautious when ordering baked goods. Overall, the«Yay! I’m a fan» rating seems to be an accurate description of how I feel about this place. Their fresh coffee and Soy Masala Chai are what blows the competition out the water. I’m still willing to give their sandwiches another try so an updated review might happen in the future. All in all, I’d say this Colectivo is a great addition to the Third Ward.

I was resistant to the collective«takeover» at first blush, some time away has given the opportunity for me to see that it was s welcomed improvement to a already strong staple in Milwaukee. With plenty of new and interesting locations popping up I am always impressed with attention to every detail… and I can say never a lack in detail in both food coffee and ambiance. This location was a surprise to me, I had to do a double take to realize a childhood resturant was home and replaced with a coffee shop, upon investigating I was impressed to see ALOT of outside seating and standing room, once inside I was greeted by two very friendly baristas. I have a allergy to almonds and when I asked a question about the cowboy cookie my friendly checker lady didn’t bat a eye at looking it up for me! I was so floored I was not met with«I don’t know». She seemed to have a detailed description at her finger tip to be able to look it up. A major bonus for someone with allergies. Again NO detail over looked with this company, and of course the coffee is good, espresso is great and enough specialty drinks to keep you trying for months to come. Well done collective I was a very happy customer.

Colectivo log entry # 3423… On Friday, I experienced this location in its small, satellite glory. I mean, maybe it’s not a satellite proper, but it’s small. I guess it doesn’t move like a satellite does, but it all sounds really cool, right? Small. Orbital to the Public Market, fixed as the moon is in a tidally fixed orbit with the Earth. There’s a secret counter behind the counter where you can sit and hide and meet with your favoritest of people from the MAM and Visit Milwaukee instead of trying to wedge yourself between all the suits talking about stocks or whatever it is these very official dudes are talking about. Lots of dudes in suits and hipster looking early-twentysomethings at this location on Friday afternoon, strangely. Was there a LORDE concert I didn’t know about? The Colectivo standards are both requisite and present. They also carry BEER. While it’s not hard to find or drink beer in this city, I appreciate the fact that they offer it. Kudos. I have also heard a little bird talk about donuts… they may be rocking a donut window at some point, maybe. This would be a «cool» and«hip» thing to do. Parking in the third ward is about as fun as having a tooth pulled, but that’s cool. Know thyself, know thy city, know thy patience level.

I usually come to this location for a coffee stout beer. It’s a welcome addition to the ward too. Nice outdoor seating(no garden). Doors open wide to let in out crisp MKE air. Usual alterra(choke collectivo) coffee. It’s good. Choice comes to the ward! Anodyne in the market across the street(soon), mermaid around corner, Bella’s down the street. And Hudson is around the street too. Good vibe and a good fit. Way to go!

Colectivo. Yum. Currently the winner of the office coffee wars and some solid java. I like lots of different coffees and Colectivo is a go-to. This new location in the Third Ward is also a go-to, for more than just coffee. It’s a great stop for a mid-day snack. Did you know they sell cookies here? Jumbo-trons stuffed with yummy things like chocolate chunks. Mmm. Recently I tried a peach-mango-ginger smoothie. No caffeine to be found in that cup; instead, all kinds of frozen fruity goodness that hit the spot on a warm day. Refreshing and a lot better for me than that cookie I was contemplating. Another time, I treated a friend to a tea on ice. From start to finish the process was handcrafted one at a time. I watched the barista brew and steep the tea, then pour. It wasn’t instant — it was worth it. Glad this location is here in the Third Ward

As a Chicagoan born and bred, I don’t often venture up north to Milwaukee but I decided to see what all the fuss about Summer Fest was and made the trek on the train. My friend and I arrived around lunchtime and as we wandered toward the festival park, we decided to stop and look for a place to grab lunch. We found Colectivo. Beer. Cheese. Coffee. Local. Yes, yes, yes and yes. We looked inside at their display of attractively delicious and already prepared salads, wraps, sandwiches and goodies. Gave the menu the once over. I settled on this delicious grilled cheese sandwich(three kinds of cheese) on a fresh baguette. My friend grabbed a healthier tofu salad wrap. We had their black iced tea which was very refreshing. I also grabbed a fresh apple to go. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather and the food. I will definitely make it back here again to try their beer. We decided to save our strength for later when the big concerts were starting and we had a long night ahead of us. But how can you go wrong with local beer? A nice spot, good food, decent prices. Check it out if you’re in Milwaukee!
