If you’ve been to George Webb, you know what to expect. We stopped in on a Sunday morning and ordered breakfast food at the counter including meat, toast and eggs and it was all hot and well prepared. Our server was very polite and efficient, the prices were reasonable and they had some fast, free wireless, which was a plus.

Really wish I had anything good to say about this place but when I’m hungry at 5a. m and just want some eggs from a breakfast place and they hang up on me FIVE times and put me on hold once for 20min is pretty crappy and isn’t a place I’ll be going to again.

The atmosphere is not great. The food was not great. I don’t really have anything good to say about this experience.

Worst time ever! It took forever to order, there was no silverware and there was a dish rag on the table next to us the whole time. The staff was arguing in the kitchen the whole time. I’m not going back

The few times I have went to George Webb the customer service was unacceptable. The establishment is not properly staffed and you wait on food and drinks longer than average. A few times the order was wrong and they made no efforts to fix the order. Also many times tables are not cleaned and I am often left getting my own menu. I recommend better staffing and more people to serve. The food is okay from time to time. Better in the late night hours. I like the breakfast menu the best.

George Webb is George Webb. An acceptable place, to get a decent breakfast, at a decent price. I’ve never really liked anything other than the breakfast here, and the burgers are downright atrocious. On my last visit, a busy Sunday morning, I was lucky enough to grab the only table in the small restaurant. The waitress was quick to take my order, and the food showed up quick as well. Sadly, that was the last time I saw my waitress. No refill on my soda, and worse yet, no butter for my pancakes. As I said, the breakfast is definitely decent. Nothing amazing, but definitely not terrible. The service is usually awful though. Seems like there is a huge divide in Milwaukee when it comes to breakfast. Either the places are downright awful, or downright expensive… George Webb seems to te the only exception in the middle.

This place is best when intoxicated, however, I would recommend going sober too. Best items on the menu: 1. Cheeseburger 2. Hash browns 3. Fries Or, if you want to get crazy you can get the 6 burgers in a bag. Whatever you do, do not get the shrimp platter as my friend did. That just doesn’t make sense in general but it didn’t turn out as she hoped. Stick with the typical American food. Whenever I am home I love going to this place! Perhaps intoxicated…

George Webbs is a typical diner. Okay food at an affordable price. During the day, that’s exactly what you should expect. If you’re looking for a late night meal sober or buzzed, I wouldn’t recommend eating at this location. The late night staff last little to no customer service skills. They aren’t interested fulfilling a great experience with you; they will serve your food and then they want you out. They almost always wreck my orders. Last time I actually asked for a refund due to cold food I hadn’t been able to eat without silverware(asking the waitress 3 times for silverware apparently wasn’t enough). Long story short; during the day it’s okay, late night avoid at all costs.

There are places that people associate with various experiences in their lives. Maybe a little corner bistro would remind them of a vacation in France, or that coffee shop reminds of strolling down the lantern lit streets of Spain. George Webb envokes a feeling of rummaging through old soiled Pravda newspapers in Communist Russia in order to find a piece of unrotten cabbage. On a bright side, if you ever feel lonely, you can enjoy a company of homeless people that will warm up your seat for you.

I can’t get to sleep. I think about the implications of diving in too deep or possibly the complications. Especially at night, I worry over situations I know will be alright. Perhaps it’s just imagination. Alone between the sheets only brings exasperation. It’s time to walk the streets, smell the desperation. At least there’s pretty lights, although there’s little variation. It nullifies the night from overkill. Day after day it reappears. Night after night my heartbeat shows the fear. Ghosts appear and fade away-come back another day. Endless coffee. Best hashbrowns in town. Open 24 hours. There when you need it.

This place is great late at night when you’re really drunk. When it’s morning, however, and you”re completely sober, it’s not so great at all. The food is mediocre at best, and the serving staff has the keen ability to mess up your order. I ordered something that did not come with hash browns. I got something else that did come with hash browns. I ordered my eggs over-medium, and I realize that over-medium eggs are pretty easy to screw up by either not cooking them enough or cooking them too much, but I did not know it was possible to do both things at the same time.

The atmosphere is typical diner. It was a little slow, but I really enjoyed the moderate portion size and cheap price. Coffee was decent. I enjoyed my skillet.

After a late Saturday I needed a cure for my Sunday hangover and George Webbs was just the spot. They have the right ratio of grease and goodness which will cure you in no time. I enjoyed their coffee strong and surprisingly tasty. I had 2 eggs, bacon, and a triple stack. The pancakes were nice and fluffy, eggs easy and runny and bacon a nice level of crisp. All in all solid food, and it brings back memories of your teen angst years of smoking cigs and drinking coffee until 3 am.

George Webb’s is a Milwaukee institution. One certainly doesn’t go to any of the outlets expecting gourmet food. What you get is standard diner food at a fairly cheap price. My wife and I stop by this particular place for breakfast fairly often. I seem to recall service issues being raised in some earlier reviews, but we’ve always found the morning staff friendly
