The worst BR I’ve ever been to(and I’ve been to a lot of ‘em). I was here with a friend on a day trip from Chicago, and in the 20 minutes we were in the store, not once was either of us greeted, offered help, or acknowledged in any way whatsoever. I probably could have gathered one of ever item they sold and wouldn’t have been offered a fitting room. I can’t help but to point out that every store employee was white, and both of us are people of color. Just a thought… It’s sad too, because being a BR card holder, I was prepared to drop some serious cash.

Banana Republic is one of those staple stores for women with nice clothes for almost every size and shape. This store is small and was pretty picked through a few days before Christmas. I hate it when the mediums and larges are all gone and only smalls and x-smalls remain. I had decent customer service here. The register people were a little slow and disorganized, but otherwise it was a good experience. It made me happy to learn that the Banana Republic giftcards don’t expire as they oftentimes linger in my purse since they discontinued my favorite style of wool work pant.

You’ might be right when you say that a lot of people run around town wearing BR. however, that’s not the case in Milwaukee. Land of sneakers and packer sweatshirts. I’m the kind of gal who will mix it up with my other less known labels. No one knows Hugo Boss here anyway. This location, while small, has the best service. I went online the other day after getting an email bragging about their spring line to check it out. Thought I’d try a few items on. Unfortunately, they didn’t have all of it in. You mean to tell me I have to go online. order and wait and then return. No thanks. I found some other items — which to my mothers dismay — I was taking to long to try on. How did she think I could try on 15 items in 5 mins is beyond me. She left me and went to two other stores in that time. On the flip side. I do love their — it seems — never ending — sale. they always say it’s the BIG one. but really, there is always something on sale.
