Safeway

It’s Safeway, not a lot to say, except:
WHERE IS THE OLIVE BAR?
This is the only Safeway I’ve been to in recent memory that didn’t have an olive bar adjacent to the deli. Totally sucks, as I have to go to the west side of I-​5 in to Federal Way to either the Safeway on 320^th or Fred Meyer (deep in twin lakes) to get fresh olives.

I shop here very often. It’s the closest grocery store to my house. I normally have a good experience and everyone is very happy and helpful, but today… today was a different story. It was the FIRST time that anyone has EVER given me flat out attitude. I don’t know if the lady in customer service is racist against tan people or if she’s always that rude. Maybe she was having a bad day, but I shouldn’t have been her target. She got my request wrong and then blamed me for her mistake.
I’ll definitely be asking for someone else to help me next time I need customer service. «SUE» should NOT be in customer service if she’s going to be rude and blame the customer even if she’s the one who rings you up incorrectly!
One bad apple made me write this review and take away stars. Don’t get me wrong… there are a lot of great people working there but Sue isn’t one of them!

Nice well stocked store. Seems clean as you walk through. Sometimes it gets a little over the top with displaying of food at the entrances. Other then that, the store is okay.
I use their App and get the U-​Scan deals to see what the sales flyers show and what additional savings I can get with the customized deals just for me which are better then just your regular club card deals. If you’re already buying that item, why not save a little more?
When you are trying to save a little $, it pays to take time to look in the app. Sometimes they offer a freebie of something (a yogurt for example) and extra fuel rewards points with a minimum purchase amount or when you buy gift cards, but you won’t know unless you check right? You’ll have to learn how to navigate within the app, but honestly… it’s easy.
The wifi in Safeway isn’t good like most stores since it’s like a cave towards the back. So turn the wifi off and use your mobile connection. I’m pretty sure it will be better.
The meat, deli and hot food areas are nicely kept. I’ve noticed that the hot food prices like the Chinese food deal price has increased. A few years ago, they made a change to their select sandwich options leaving me less fond of the hand made sandwiches, so I don’t buy them anymore. The bread choices are horrible now.
This is 1 of 2 ‘go to’ stores for me.
Like most stores these days, they have a Starbucks inside with a seating area close-​by.
I’ll be back when I need something.

Please have someone contact me regarding a concern/​complaint. I would prefer to do it off a site such as this but the main Safeway website did not clearly give a complaint option & was not adequately smart phone compatible/​would not load properly on my smart phone. Thank you!

When I got there to buy Tony Romas pork products by using Safeway coupon, they said the coupon’s discount price was wrong because of misprinting. «Misprinting!!!» The seafood section lady said to me «Sorry.» If anybody didn’t say sorry to me, I would give only one star to Safeway.

Friendliest Safeway I’ve been to. Great staff and clean. Love Safeway prices and selection.

For most of our shopping we go with Costco and Safeway and this one is awesome. The people are always friendly and very helpful. Yesterday all the lines (most lanes were open) seemed to be a mile long. We got through ours fast and our cashier was friendly. Came around the front to help load something in our cart. When I thanked him he said «It’s okay I needed to stretch my legs anyways.» It’s nice to have customer service that does a little extra just because.

Everyone at this Safeway is always very helpful & nice. Very pleased. Everything in in its place even during construction. I would drive 10 miles out of the way to go to the Safeway it is the best.

I have always preferred Safeway — perhaps since we shopped there in New York as a child. We are struggling with the new look — everything is moved around. It is convenient and easier to get in and out of than Albertsons.
For a while ever employee use to greet you and offer help — those days appear to have left with the new look. Also — when they opened a new lane — they would always take the next 1 or 2 people in line. Twice now they open one and everyone from the end of our line rushes over — both of these reasons took them form 4 down to 3.
They are well stocked and if you need something special — they will try and order it. Their prices are comparative but I hate their on line system where if you want the coupon specials you have to go on the computer — it seems like every other day — and select the items. Don’t usually use it.

I like this Safeway.
1. The location is convenient for me and it’s close
2. I have never had to wait in a long line
3. They have good customer service, the workers have always been friendly and helpful/​easy to find if I needed assistance.
4. The prices are reasonable and they have a decent organic selection. They do these Just For You coupons. You have to go online for it but it gives you great deals :)
Check it out and don’t forget to try a sandwich from the deli, my favorite hot sandwich is the ham swiss and cheddar panini :)

This Safeway is convenient when I go thru Milton. It’s just your average, run of the mill Safeway and I usually find what I’m looking for. Nothing spectacular nothing bad…
