Big portions! Super filling and yummy. Hand made tortillas and the wait for our food was okay not too long. The service was average. Real friendly though. Came around 4 still pretty quiet.

The store asked me to pay 15 $ for bringing and consuming cake from outside. It is supposed to cover issues if someone gets sick from an outside food. Was the answer when I asked for an explanation !!!

This is not a food review. It’s customer service. As we entered the establishment last night my 3 year old grandson tripped and fell on the entry mat that was all bent over in ½ and laying crooked. Two employees were outside and saw him take the fall and the greeter inside opened the door and saw my daughter on the floor with my grandson. They stood there and looked as he’s screaming and when his head came up my daughter gasped because he had a huge knot on his forehead already. They stood there staring. My daughter asked if she could have some ice please. After a few minutes someone finally came out with ice. He’s crying and screaming so she took him outside to calm him down and put the ice on. NOTONCE did anyone from the restaurant ask how he was or even check on him. They weren’t busy as they seated one group of 3 or 4 while we were there. There was a young woman who was the on the phone at the front desk and she kept looking at us. Her and the greeter whispered so not sure what that was about. Once my grandson was calm we gathered are things to leave. As we were leaving no one asked how he was, if there was anything they could do… not a thing.

Nice food. Love the ambience. Not sure why they have bad reviews. Loved the drinks as well.

Would give it a negative if possible. We sat down and were served crushed chips. Luckily we have been here before and could also see that another table had chips the size of a palm and ours were literally broken by a hammer. When we asked if something was wrong with our chips; our server just took them away with no apology and asked someone to get us a different batch. Then our server walked away and without asking us if he could take our order. When he finally came back, he was incredibly rude! It was chilly and everyone was clad in jackets and he was fanning himself while taking our order. He seemed irritated and didn’t want to hang out for too long. After taking our order, he walked away and was yelling at another server that he wasn’t going to waste his time going to a table next to ours because they clearly looked like they were still looking at the menu! Clearly he is not experienced or just doesn’t want to do his job. If he has experience then it is obvious that sometimes people just look at their menus out of curiosity and not because they are undecided. The least he could do was ask them if they needed more time to order. I believe that going to a restaurant is more than about the food. I am paying for the service and I would like to be treated decently. This was such an unpleasant experience. Won’t be coming back.

Stopped by for lunch on a Friday at noon. Sat at a sticky table in the bar. Picked up the menu only to find food stuck to it. Ordered a Corona with salt and lime. It came with neither. I requested lime and waited for 5 minutes to recieve a bowl of fat cut limes that would not fit in the beer. Took another 10 minutes to get our order taken. Enjoyed our chips and salsa, drinks went empty twice. 30 minutes later no food, waitress came to apologize saying the kitchen was short handed. 10 minutes later still no food in sight. Decided to leave. The only positive is, when i attempted to pay for my beer, she wouldn’t allow it and apoligized. Beyond disappointed.

Food pickup: I ordered Food to go on Friday evening. Over the phone they said the food should be ready in 15 minutes. I don’t really trust them so I came after 25 minutes. And guess when I actually got the food all packed. After 45 minutes of order. The problem that I have is tell me the truth when you take order. So I don’t have to stand in the crowded restaurant. Food quality: The quality has gone down considerably in the last couple of years. The food is oily. It needs a revamp.

On 4⁄20 I took my husband out for his birthday. The food was excellent! But it was the worst service ever! Are waiter was constantly forgetting what we ordered. Was very short and abrupt with us. And telling us they ran out of every cocktail my husband ordered. everthing was very negative. he picked up our plates workout asking if we were done eating. I don’t know the criteria they have to hire there waiters. Its a shame because we realIy enjoyed the food. I’ve never left a review on Unilocal until now.

The whole place is very well decorated to give you a complete TEXAS look n feel. The sitting arrangements are also very comfortable and spacious. Once you are seated they serve you a pack of crispy nachos with tangy salsa dip! Our dinner kicked-off with some fruit margaritas. Oh to correct me Coronarita! Yes now that’s a very unique and innovative name of any drink I have heard so far! But when you see the presentation of the drink it completely compliments its name! Ice cold coronita instilled in frozen juicy fruit margaritas. A glass full of Ooomph! It is available in Mango, strawberry and Wild-berry flavors. It is a must try for people with unique tastes in Cocktails. The Fruit margaritas were also on the rocks! We also ordered Stacked Nachos which were served with pile of nachos, red beans, some veggies, some cheese, gauc and smooth cream over the top. Now that was a plate full of yumminess and of course lots of calories(with the cheese and cream)! And for veggie lovers they offer a separate menu as well. The staff was friendly and helped us in deciding our dishes. I will definitely go back to the place for the drinks and Nachos!

One of the buyers at KLA-Tencor(my customer) wanted to take me out to lunch. I suggested a place but he said he wanted a place to sit down whereas the place I suggested is a: you order, you pay, you seat yourself, and you grab your own food type of place. I wanted a place close to the office because I wanted to leave work early that day. I did not feel it was right to go far and taking a 2hr lunch. The place looked completely dead before 11:30AM. The patio was boarded up which made me assumed the place closed down so I walked to the front to make sure it’s still open and running. The lunch crowd doesn’t get there until after 12PM. It was packed but the servers seemed to have everything under control. Our server was quite fast. Our chicken fajitas came out hella quick. The order came w/flour tortilla, guacamole, pico de gallo, and sour cream. The hell w/diets that day, I added every element to my chicken fajita platter; the chicken was under seasoned and a bit dry but the rice was fluffy and flavorful, and the vegetables were sautéed just right. The refried beans were delicious. Not a bad meal overall. Thanks, Dave for lunch :) :)

The food isn’t good. It was very bland and it looked so cheap. If this place doesn’t get a different menu or cooks it’s really going to fail. I did think the ambiance was nice. They have a good choice or margaritas. The service was also very very slow. So, after waiting a long time and getting mediocre food I was very disappointed.

This is not a negative review about the food. It was the service that I had a problem with. After eating hot but tasty chips and sals I asked for water. The waiter brought out water then placed it on a table a few feet from where I sat while he took the order from an adjacent table. I’m thinking why did he just not give me my water. My mouth was burning up from hot salsa. While waiting on my food I noticed the gentleman next to me had to send back his food because it was not what he ordered. I was really ok up to this point. Things happen, no big deal. Next a different food server brought my food on a sizzling platter. It looked and smelled very good. Problem was my napkin/silverware roll contained no fork. As the food cooled down I waited for a opportunity to ask for a fork. When she arrived I told her I needed a fork. She then went back to the food server station and just hung out for a while and ignored my request. After this I decided that if I was not allowed to eat my food with a fork then I just was not going to eat it at all so I got up and walked out.

I really wanted to like this place. I’m a fan of Mexican cooking for the average white guy, which this place seems to cater too The other reviews were right. Most of the tables were dirty, salt on them, old rice, and just a mash of old food scattered here amd there. Once I started noticing that, I really had to wonder how they kept the kitchen. Oh no. I liked the food. I mean, it was kind of average cooking, but not bad. Combine the service with the dirty and I won’t be back. Edit… I forgot to mention, I was there before any rush and it was their slow time, so there should have been plenty of chances for them to handle the few tables they had.

This was the first time I ever tried this restaurant but I always drove pass it. It was average and alright. I doubt I will be coming back for this place but it was not as bad as what some of the people said on Unilocal. The bad thing I saw was that a lot of stuff or pictures they have on Unilocal is not even on the menu or I could not find it. Interior/Location: There is like 2 or 3 Mexican restaurants in this area or plaza in general so they have a lot of competition. There is a lot of parking and I have not tried any of the other places so it is hard to say if it is the best in the area. Inside the restaurant has a Texas theme or a southern theme. It does remind you of a Mexican restaurant. They also have a lot of tables and can accommodate big groups. Something about the restaurant does feel weird and made me feel uncomfortable. Food/Price/Portioning: I ordered the chimicanga and I thought the price was average for the food. They also give free chips and salsa. The chips were really big. They also give this cheesy thing if u check in which is worth $ 5 on the menu. I personally didn’t like the cheese thing though. The chimicanga was crispy and the shredded beef was good. The rice was super dry and to me was gross. Without the sauce the food would had taste completely plain though. I guess if I was being nice the food was like 2 stars since it does lack flavor and dryness of food makes it hard to eat. Service: my boyfriend and I came here an hour before they closed and they still sat us fast and took our order fast. Our server was quick and friendly. So I have nothing to say about their service.

The host was so mean! They gave us a table at the corner of the bar while having all the tables available all over the restaurant! The food is bad for the price, no refill the chips! Not worth the money!

Not a very good visit today;(… The bathrooms are not very clean. The waitress was nice but not very attentive. Also my Daugther wanted the one of her sides to be their fresh fruit and it was two orange slices with three maraschino cherries??? Really that’s not fresh fruit FYI! Probably won’t come back here again;(

Came here for a team dinner and it was a mixed bag. The salsa, chips, and appetizers were great. I ordered a carnitas burrito, but wound up getting a veggie one and the service for our large group was scattered enough that I just ate it instead of figuring out how to have it fixed. The burrito was only OK. The highlight was the frozen margarita, which came in two sizes: big and gigantic. I got the gigantic one and it was quite good. Still, the combination of the so-so mains and the service means I probably won’t be back and I’ll probably see if we can’t do someplace else for future team events.

I am surprised to see so many bad reviews. We like this restaurant overall. Pros: — Kids friendly — not over crowded on Sundays — their chips and salsa are really good. Salsa is spicy but very fresh and tasty — big tables — healthy food options — Kids menu + crayons — nice service — HUGE margaritas. Cons: — rather on the slow side(but still faster than in France lol) — food is good but not«wow-amazing-unfortgettable» — I wish they had more healthy food options

The food was fine. It’s not great but it wasn’t bad. Nothing worth writing about. The food/drink service wasn’t bad. However, I specifically went to a Mexican restaurant because I wanted to watch the USA vs Honduras soccer game. I went to Tequila’s across the parking lot first and it was on but I wanted to sit at a bar and have a few beers. That place is more like an authentic chipotle. I went to OTB and sat in the bar with 4 – 5 other parties. There are 6 TVs in the bar and 3 were on the A’s game and 3 on the Giant’s game. I asked the bartender if he could put the small one on the soccer game. He took 10 minutes to even grab the remote. Then when he did, he said, «eh, how about after the A’s game is over, it’s the bottom of the 9th.» Cool, bro. It was tied 3−3…baseball doesn’t end with a tie. I sat there for another 30+ minutes watching the gamecast on my phone. USA scored. I missed it. I got my bill and left(A’s game still on in the bottom of the 10th). Congrats, you’re the first bartender who’s gotten less than a 20% tip from me in a long long time.

Pros: — The sangria is to die for — The tortillas are fantastic, and I believe they are freshly made on premises — The salsa is fantastic — Overall the food is really good — The hostess was very nice — Almost no wait — Our server was polite and helpful enough Cons: — The pitcher of sangria was only about half full and stuffed with ice(about 5 ½ glasses of you fill the last glass and a half completely with ice) — Our server, while decent, was slow and a bit inattentive — I ordered my carne asada well done. It was served medium-rare. — The beans were awful — The brownie dessert was mediocre at best The majority of the food was so good, I’d actually come back.
