this was without a doubt the best crunchy tacos i have had in my life!!! The shredded beef was on point. the taco was perfectly stuffed. guac and sour cream on the side added to the cheesy goodness. 10 stars if possible would go to these guys. and if i actually lived near milpitas i’d be a regular.

Menudo here was bomb! Service is great too! I actually just come here to pick up menudo because I’m from the east side of San Jose and you know all the hot spots are there but I recently moved to Milpitas and been craving good menudo so I always come here now. One last thing, I love it here to because they serve their food nice and hot which is 5 stars for me.

If you are white and old, you’ll love this place. Food was bland service was mediocre and the appearance was meh. Wasn’t worth 11 bucks a plate.

When I worked closer, I would meet friends here once a week. I think Tuesday was the day that they had chili verde and chili colorado. I remember the food & service being good. Haven’t been here in years! La Diabla wanted mexican food and we weren’t too far. Glad we decided to eat here. Not too busy today, most people out shopping I suppose. We were promptly seated and asked what we would like to drink. Our drinks came out quickly with a basket of chips and salsa. The salsa is very good, has a little kick! Our food arrived about 10 minutes after we ordered. I ordered enchiladas and La Diabla order a la carte, cheese enchilada and a chimichanga. Everything was well prepared and presented nicely. Generous portions. If I lived or worked closer, I’d be here often. One of my favorites in the area. The service was very nice without being over the top.

Food was delicious. Portion sizes are good. I’m one who tends to not be full after a meal but this one did it. Most Mexican restaurants have mild salsa with chips but this one had a little kick, which was great. Very authentic and great atmosphere. Only visiting the area but if I’m close by in the future I will be coming back.

I’ve been coming here for almost 20 years. The food is consistently delicious. Some of my faves: the machaca and chile verde. The corn tortillas are fresh, the beans are tasty, and the service is always efficient. The décor makes me feel like I’ve walked into a favorite auntie’s house… if I were Mexican.

Fresh fresh fresh. Hole in the wall, mom and pop 3 generation restaurant. Fresh made magaritas with real lime juice… not a mix. I repeat… NOT a mix. Be careful they are meui deliscious. Want a chimichanga, mentally prepare yourself for the amazing wonder that is going to hit your mouth. Soooo good!

Best place in Milpitas for Mexican as far as I am concerned. Good food, pretty good service. Not over priced.

3⁄5 Food: Pineapple Margaritas were weird and tamales were bland. Salsa was good. 4⁄5 Atmosphere: Looks like a typical Mexican restaurant. Older crowd. 3⁄5 Service: First time I came here, we were unfortunately ignored for very long periods of time.

Time for an update. Baja Cactus over the last couple of years stepped up their game. Noticed on a Saturday morning visit that the dining area is spruced up a bit. Random items in between the front door and the cashier are put away. Lighting fixtures are decorated with colored paper in some sort of a floral fashion. Same are along the walls with string lights across the ceiling. This goes with the updating and re-printing of their menus as well as freshly made corn tortillas. Its the tortillas that make it(though admittedly I always asked for flour… what can I say? I’m a brown gringo). Their chips and salsa are spectacular. Crispy outta of the fryer, you can’t enough salsa to bring it all together. Asking for more is no problem. I like this place for breakfast or menudo specifically. Unlike baldy on the Travel Channel, I like my tripe n hominy soup not tastng or smelling like wet dog. Cuz true dat. Its a demonstration of the cook’s skill in cleaning and executing a dish based on its ingredients. Besides, I’m eating it already so no need for excess gastric juices to digest it. Despite of this, their version is a bit bland, but a side of rice and beans makes up for it as well as more chips and salsa. Just add the fixings of dried peppers, onions, cilantro and lemon to your liking. I must have been a good boy because I got 3 huge pieces of tendon. Meat gummies! Baja Cactus is still solid.

I’ve been coming here for some time and I always enjoy the food. They make their chips fresh daily and I like the salsa. When I worked in the area, it was one of my favorite lunch places. I now find myself going for dinner. I’ve always enjoyed their enchilada dishes and combination plates. You get refried beans and rice with all the entrees. Service has always been very good and they’re quick.

I loved the food so much I’m hiring them to cater an event! I had the carne Asada burrito which was tasty and tender! The rice is also delicious it’s really fluffy and light. The staff is very attentive and very friendly. I highly recommend the restaurant!

Went here for Sunday Lunch. Just OK. The entrance isn’t super welcoming, kind of looks like a dive bar from the outside. Once you get inside their«waiting area» was just 2 chairs crammed directly into the door way, so its better to just wait standing outside. Service was very blah. Our waitress started with us and was trying to be quick, which we weren’t. She then sat down for lunch herself behind us once we ordered and we had 2 – 3 other waitresses fill in after that.(BTW, no introductions from anyone) I ordered the Shrimp Fajitas. There was no love in this food at all. Store bought food served on a plate. Pretty sure the shredded cheese they give you is KRAFT straight from the bag :( I suppose I was craving really delicious, home-made-with-love Mexican and this was clearly not the place to go for it. Its OK, worth the try — just won’t be back.

They have the best home made corn tortillas. The albondigas soup is delicious with large meatballs and the perfect amounts of veggies and rice and beans to accompany. Friendly and fast service as well perfect for the lunch crowd.

UnilocalERS… for the first time – ever – you have let me down. Just got back from my birthday lunch, and I have to say, the 4-star reviews are simply NOT warranted. Slow for a Saturday, and I ordered a margarita. When I asked why type of tequila they had, she said they had no tequila. Huh. Ok, but I can still get a margarita? Yes. Hmm… turns out, they are charging $ 7.50 for that margarita mix that has tequila in it, that you can get at Costco. Its technically called a «mixer, «I think. Lame. I ordered the childe verde on the Unilocal recommendations, and while it was served hot, the sauce was very bland, and the meat was dry. Not worth $ 14. My uncle ordered 2 soft tacos that were just ‘meh.’. The total for two dishes, an O’Douls, my two drinks, and two flan(served cold!) was $ 57. I’m not cheap, but I have to say that $ 60 for Mexican where the food was only C+ is just too high. Please remove«margarita» from the menu – what you are serving merely meets the limits set by your wine/beer license – and stop using so much garlic in the salsa. All I tasted was the onion and the garlic. Bottom line: prices are too high, food is not quality, booze is from a mix, and it is clear that the reviewers who offered 4-stars for this place have not had ‘good’ Mexican, because this place ain’t it by a long shot.

Lunch is the best time to come and enjoy their specials. I had the #5 lunch combination which consisted of beef enchiladas and Chile relleno. The quality of the cheesy Chile relleno and the savory shredded beef for the enchilada hit the spot. I swear this place has been here for over 20 years but I never bothered to drop by until today. The service was great and attentive and the food is authentic! I’ll come back soon to try more dishes on the menu!

My friend and I were craving Mexican and decided to try out Baja! We were both so pleased with the décor and warm friendly hostess and server. They serve authentic Mexican food. I think this is my new favorite Mexican place in Milpitas. They give you chips and salsa. The salsa is medium to spicy. I ordered camarones and my friend order fish tacos. They were both delicious! The shrimp was perfect and the sauce they used was amazing! We also ordered a pitcher of strawberry margarita. The drink was not as strong as I would have liked, however, it tasted like a strawberry slushy! Overall the experience was great! I love how fun it is decorated, how nice the service is and how great the food is!!! :)
