not the best place to find good quality furniture yet its very expensive! nothing much to say, just not something i would recommend to people for furniture.

I browsed their showroom. I like their variety of furniture very much. They have several nice pieces. Ended buying a marble dining set. The dishonest salesman there, Hong, assured me that they stand behind their products 100% and would take care of any problems I have asap. Right! I should have remember that I’m talking to a salesman! They delivered the set next day. At delivery time I wanted to take my time and check the furniture for defects but was assured by their delivery men that the set is new and perfect. If I have any problems later they would take care of them ASAP. Since Hong, the salesman, also assured me the same when I was at the store, I took their words and let them go after a quick glance. First mistake! A few days later when I had more time for a thorough check I noticed several visible cracks on the dining table’s marble surface. I called Hong on 4÷19÷08. He promised a new table replacement delivered on 4÷24÷08. Nothing happened. I called again on 4÷25÷08. Wanted to talk to a manager there but got Hong instead. He again promised a new table on 5÷1÷08. Blaming the manufacturer down in San Diego not delivery on time. He promised me that he would call me on 5⁄1 to schedule the delivery. Well it’s 5÷2÷08 and I did not hear from C&K. I’m absolutely certain that if I call and talk to Hong again he would give me the same dance and song. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. It seems these people didn’t seem to care much because the deadline for them to respond came up but they didn’t bother to give me a call. Next action for me: contacting the attorney general of the state or small claim court. My recommendation to you: stay away from these crooks! If you have to buy from them, absolutely use your credit card. Don’t be talked into saving some 3% transaction fee and paying cash like I did. If you have any problems you could always dispute it with the credit card company and save yourself the agonies and pains trying to get a resolution from C&K.

Holy hell. Right after Christmas and lots of couch shopping, my husband and I decided that this place had the perfect couch for us. We specifically sought a double recliner that has enough room for two people who certainly ain’t skinny. The salesperson(I think this is a family-owned and operated business) named Jimmy was very personable and helped us order this ideal couch immediately. We told Jimmy of our prior poor luck with furniture stores, citing a specific incident with Levitz where they completely failed to deliver our furniture because it had been discontinued about a year later — and Levitz also refused to give us our money back, even after that year. Jimmy assured us that this sort of thing did not happen in his business, and as an added bonus, everybody who had ordered the specific model of couch we wanted received their order very rapidly, in the realm of less than a week. We should’ve gotten that bullshit salesmanship in writing from the start. Of course, we did not receive our couch in a week. We also did not receive it in the 4 – 6 weeks that the sales slip said — Jimmy told us that he had to write it that way, even though the previous customers had received their couches within the week after ordering. We ALSO did not receive it after 8 weeks. At the 6 week point, my husband and I were quite annoyed, as we had heard absolutely no communication from the store as to what the status was. We went back to the store to inquire(and to get the promises of the glib salesman in writing this time). Jimmy told us that their supplier failed to ship our couch, put it on hold, shipped it to the wrong state… Looking back on the several phone calls and visits that followed where Jimmy told us that the couch was on the verge of being received at their location and then told us that it had NOT in fact been released for shipping(yes, he changed his story a few times and showed me NO proof other than a fax cover sheet with the supplier’s name on it that did not reference our order in any way), I realize we should have asked for our refund right then and there instead of listening to promises of this couch materializing suddenly. Instead, we were treated to two weeks of Jimmy alternating between offering concessions including a free stainproofing treatment in order to keep our money(where he told us our couch was practically at our door), and cancellation of scheduled delivery(because the couch had not been released for delivery). On Friday, Jimmy called me to tell me that this couch had not been released and that the scheduled(in writing a week before) delivery was off. I told him that we’d be in either during the evening or on Saturday to process our refund. When we got there, he told us that the couch had been released for delivery to try to get us to agree to another postponement. In conclusion, if you decide to purchase furniture from this company, be aware that the salespeople will lie to your face while maintaining perfect«customer service» protocol(well, once you go in and demand it when your order is late). We were duped, but we got our money back. Make DAMN sure you get anything you care about in writing. It will save you time you could’ve spent buying furniture from another company and actually receiving it. Just remember, if you go to the grocery store and they cannot get hold of what you want, you don’t let them hold your money indefinitely. The only good thing I can say about this company at this point is that we did in fact receive the refund.

Round 2– furnished the new house as I had stated from my last review of this joint. My experience was not as good as my last hence only 3⁄5 stars. Let’s start w/the good… We found the exact couch we were looking for. A 5-piece sectional, microfiber sofa, to occupy our large family room living area. It’s a perfect fit and has been excellent for entertaining. Again, microfiber is awesome, spills clean up beautifully. Also, got a 5-piece bedroom set which we also love. The entire 10-pieces were $ 3K out the door including taxes and delivery. I think this is very reasonable pricing. Now the bad… We were told that the bedroom set was in stock and could be delivered at any time, no issue. The sofa was to be special ordered and would take two weeks. I was a bit skeptical about this because I ordered a sofa from here previously and it took five weeks. At that time, I was told it would take five weeks so my expectations were set accordingly. I was pleasantly surprised to hear two weeks for this go around. Guess what, it took over 6 weeks because of some fabric backorder which C&K was not informed of. Ok, I’ll give them the benefit, things happen. When it was finally delivered, the delivery staff was polite and helpful however, they arrived an hour before the scheduled window and we were not ready for them. I was a bit stressed out by this time but it all worked out.
