Horrible service! The girl just wasn’t paying any attention to what I was asking for and put the wrong charge on my card until I notified her. No appologies, barely looked at me… grrrrr! After a long flight I don’t ever want to deal with this situation! I don’t recommend for the service Food is decent

Rude person behind the counter who just walked off saying it was her break time. Closed for 30 minutes, at 7:30PM? C’mon.

Good caseline food. However, I asked the employee(east Asian young man) working this morning to make a breve drink(I like the way steamed half and half tastes) and he said that though they had half and half, he couldn’t do it because the company partners asked him not to do so and furthermore he laughed at me when I asked him to provide feedback to the partners that it’s what customers want. I’ll get my coffee inside security from now on.

This review is about Emporio Rulli in the Arrivals Area of the SFO International Terminal: I think this has to be the worst food stand within all of SFO. The place is run down and service is terribly slow. I have been there a few times to buy a bottle of water and the wait can easily top 10 minutes with more than one guest in front of you. More than once I left without buying anything due to the wait. The reason is that this place is staffed by only one person at all times(and I confirmed this today with the person working there). No matter what day and what time, there will only one person working the register, making lattes, warming up pastry, etc. I hope SFO does not renew their lease and soon provides us with a better option when waiting for arriving passengers.

Me to bartender: does the salmon panini have any eggplant or tomato? I have an allergy to both. Bartender: it has tomato. Me: OK no tomato. OK. What comes — an eggplant panini. Took a bite and spit out the second. Past trying to kill me, the service was fine, but very limited menu. Didn’t pay for panini but got some lip which I wasn’t going to have. Paid for beer and left.

I stopped here a couple weeks ago before my flight to Minneapolis on Sun Country(see my review) which is here in the international terminaol. The young Chinese woman was very nice & I ended up ordering a bastea, a flaky buttery pastry filled with walnuts, apricots, rasins, & cream; even better heated up. This aliong with a couple bottles of water & a pastry for my mother & I was $ 11.00, but you always pay a little more at the airport & the quality so justified it; sure, you are not in a quiet café, rather off the busy bustling terminal yet still relaxing for a few minutes. I should stopped when we landed to bring home some treats; next time. I will definitely be back next time I have any flights here in the international terminal. So, for some gourmet Italian pastries & beverages for a little more than elsewhere with friendly service, Imporio Ruli cannot be beat. Keep up the good work guys.

Popped in here one afternoon at the airport. I had the Penne with meat sauce. It was pretty good. Nothing too special and a little bland. My husband had the focaccia veggie sandwich and he enjoyed it. Overall the food was fresh, the service is good and the pastries were very fresh! It is pricier than what it’s worth but still worth a pop in occasionally when you’re hungry.

(See pics) Review #1332. Quick stop for an espresso. One of the three Rulli coffee stops and this one is right outside of the Customs when you land and desire that little pick-me-up and back-to-reality cup. Their espresso is as heartwarming as when the customs officer said, «Welcome back.» They do have a selection of pastries and sandwiches but maybe it’s closing time, they did not look too attractive but something edible if you are starving. Service was pretty fast.

Expensive! Decent food. Coffee tasted great. I spent only 10 minutes there so can’t write more.

Some of the best coffee and pastry that you can find anywhere. Try the hot panini. The portabella is what made them famous, but they all excellent. I like the turkey and cheese. Order using the Italian name or the English translation, they are both right on the display. It is difficult to believe this type of quality exists at an airport terminal, but there it is.

Food was okay. Service was a bit slow with one person behind the counter and no one else in line or waiting for food. I recommend that you do not use a credit card at this place. At least not when Jose is working there. He adjusted the tip(higher) on my order.

So far, the International Terminal is 0-for-2 in my dining experience book. Emporio Rulli has four outlets at SFO, and three of them are pre-security in the International Terminal. One is the old Metro Café, where we greeted a traveler this evening. My Lady ordered a cinnamon swirl and a jasmine green tea. I ordered a chocolate brioche and a single latte. The bill was $ 11.04. She found her snack delightful. I found the single latte good, but the brioche dry and tasteless. Alas for them, I am the Unilocaler. Fortunately for them, I am merciful, and have averaged our impressions. I much prefer Perry’s, which is a full-service restaurant, post-security, in Terminal 1. It would be nice to find a place like that in the International Terminal. Perhaps I will — there are over 40 restaurants at the airport.
