NEVER go to this dry cleaners. My boyfriend has been going here for years and seems to be fine with them. However he brought in 1 dress and 7 blouses of mine. And every single item came back with stains, smelling of nasty chemicals, and had been ironed too hot so that there were now discoloration and shiny marks along all the seems and the fabric over buttons. My best silk blouses all ruined, worth in total over $ 1000, and each had only been worn a couple times. And their policy is no refund, let them try to fix them. Are they kidding? I would never let them tough another piece of clothing again. Avoid this place.

Our shirts came back smelling like the sewer. We brought in about 35 shirts and they all came back smelling nasty. I can only think that they must have been left in a dirty washer for a few days. Also, they were wrinkled and had strange streaks of starch on many of the shirts(I asked for a light starch). We’ve washed all the shirts at home and have taken to another cleaner. I’m hoping that the smell will subside and we can count this as an expensive learning experience. Don’t go here.

National Cleaners does a great job. I started going to National actually for the price and stayed for the service. The alterations are done very professionally and my shirts always come out just as requested. I would recommend this cleaners to anyone looking for great service.

Never go here. Seriously. Bad, bad, beyond bad. I’d give it zero stars if i could. Clothes came back worse off(stains from chemicals they use), tried explaining this to lady working behind counter, asked for money back… She called me a B****. Spoke with owner, explained what had gone down with clothes and his employee. I asked him for my money back(not a ton– $ 38, but it was hopeless) — he said I should report him to BBB because he «wasn’t scared». Point being– not sure what type of sketchy business is being ran here and at Shoreline Cleaners(whoever the main person or family is owns both), but dry cleaning certainly isn’t it.

WE have been going here for 10+ years. Chow, the owner, is very kind, helpful, and diligent. Naturally, with any dry-cleaner/laundry there are little issues… but none have been significant with Chow and National. WE recommend her.

I have never been in a dispute with a cleaners so this is a first. This one ruined a $ 750 jacket by not following the care instructions posted on the label that said«short cycle». Thus the garment is now covered with solvent stains. The owner told me that«they don’t read labels» and refused to provide any compensation at all. I am filing a complaint with the BBB. I realize I won’t get $ 750 but at a minimum they could partially compensate me.

A very good dry cleaner! The owner always remembers my name, even thought I only drop off things about once a month, and even remembered my daughter, who had only been in once before. I like that you know how much the bill will be when you drop off your clothes… and this is the most reasonable dry cleaner in Mill Valley. The place is clean, clothes arrive nicely arranged and the folks who work there are friendly and helpful. Can’t imagine using another dry cleaner in MV. One warning – no credit cards, so come with cash or check. And one time, I was a couple of dollars short, but really needed my clothes, so the owner gave me my order, and said I could pay later. What could get better than that?

Friendly, courteous and timely, they always do a wonderful job on the alterations. The woman who works there is wonderful. I’ve gone through many cleaners over the years and am very happy with their work.

Is there a way to rate this with no stars? I had been taking my dry cleaning to National for 25 years. I also had all of my alterations done there, and I never had a complaint. But, one day I went in to pick up three pairs of brand new pants I had taken in for alterations and the woman apologized up and down because she had accidentally given my clothes to another customer. I checked back a few times in the week to see if the nice lady who had taken my clothes would bring them back, but to no avail. I brought in the receipt for the pants, totaling $ 500 and asked her to reimburse me for her admitted mistake. She refused, said the owner was not available, and promised to have him call me. He never did. I went in to speak with her numerous times in the following weeks. I knew if I kept going in she would want to get rid of me so that other customers wouldn’t overhear my complaint. She finally decided to reimburse me after wasting way too much of my time and pissing me off royally. But, guess what? She deducted the cost of my alterations from the reimbursement. I was so sick of wasting my time with her that I just dropped it and went to buy two pairs of pants to replace the three she lost. I am still disgusted by her and have made a point to tell everyone I know NEVER to do business with that place. Her error cost me money. Is that fair? When I think of the thousands of dollars I have spent there since 1980 I am baffled that I was not a valued customer.
