When Lucinda’s says their food is «to go,» they mean it — this shop is small! Lots of standard Mexican fare here, with some downright cheap prices($ 5 for a burrito!). The burrito I got was overly mushy, and didn’t really have any distinct flavor to it. Still, it filled me up… and was $ 5.

I just love the Chicken Quesadilla but it is hard to eat on the go. The nice people at Lucinda’s make it for me in a burrito. It is awesome and great for on the go. Thank You!

This place was our stop after surfing. Wow what a freaking flash back after 20 plus years of not eating here. Super moist, large buritos, still taste as good as it always has been for over 20 years of eating hete… oh did I just say that again. I’m showing my age… Open late on friday, I was working in Tiburon, hungry and headed home. Wet, tired, and dreading driving home hungry, I saw the open sign flashing, and it lured me back like a fish attracted to a lure…

The first time I went here was 13 years ago, and recently moved back this last year to find the food is still great. Located in a small shopping center, the shop is primarily a take away establishment with only a few stools along a short counter. The best value anywhere in the entire country, large burritos filled with beans, rice, meats, salsa for $ 6. Very fast service that isn’t lacking at all. The employees are very friendly, always with a smile on their face. Locals come here on a daily which says a lot. Our company does a large order and for 18 people the cost is relatively inexpensive, I love this place and will continue to frequent for many years to come. Tip-Parking is terrible, very few spaces so call in the order and pick up– it’s worth it.

I love this place, the food is fresh and delicious not heavy and greasy like other Taqueria’s. I always feel fantastic after eating here. The staff is extremely friendly and the food comes up very very fast. It’s pretty much a takeout place no real room to sit. The hot salsa is my favorite and it goes good on everything. I love the basic rice cheese and bean burrito and the quesadillas are awesome. I’ve been here twice in the past three days. Haha that’s how good it is!

I went here for the first time and I will not go back again. The food was horrible it was the blandest burrito absolutely gross! I was completely unsatisfied I threw away my burrito and good luck to the people that eat their tasteless food.

Big portions, seating for about 6 people and mostly take away. They ask you which level of heat you want in your hot sauce and then add it in the food. I was expecting to get home with some sauce and there wasn’t any. I don’t know if you can ask for some to go but I would try the next time. Portions are big and filling. We had leftovers and stopped in again the next day to get something to add and had another great meal. You go to the counter, order what you like from a big board, pay, and wait until they get it ready to go. I will return and I do recommend it when you have that itch for something spicy or easy.

Always been there. Used to go alot. Stayed away for many many years simply because it was«across the freeway», rediscovered, dig it, can eat it lunch and dinner on the SAME day, was there again today, still digesting, somehow still tasting, good thing you’re not at my place(no, kidding, didn’t have beans tonight), will go back over and over and over again. My favorite? Guacamole Quesadilla. Just an awesome concoction is tasty marvelous orange-sliced shaped goodness.

When going to a new Mexican restaurant I always have a go to pick to judge each place; Enchiladas. Needless to say, that is what I ordered, chicken enchiladas with medium red sauce. They were decent. Not the greatest, and definitely not the worst. I was bummed that they didn’t have the option for ground beef, as that is what I wanted. Next time I won’t be getting chicken, and instead will opt for cheese enchiladas. Lucinda’s is a good place if you’re looking for a quick pick up meal as there really isn’t any seating. My order was ready for pickup in just 5 minutes. Not sure when the next time will be when I will go there, but I’m not writing it off, so that’s a good thing.

I went to Lucinda’s for the first time today. Upon the suggestions from Unilocal,I tried the carnitas burrito with black beans. When I got the burrito, it was HUGE, but I was not surprised. It had good flavor, and the meat was very tender. I got some guacamole on the side to put on my burrito, and it totally made it! Next time I’ll see if they can roll some guac into the burrito itself. I also got a side of chips which were very generic, I was hoping for homemade tortilla chips. The service was fast, and the woman behind the counter was very friendly. I would definitely suggest Lucinda’s for a quick, cheap lunch in Marin(which is often hard to find).

Shredded cheese from a bag, shredded lettuce from a bag, sliced tomato from a can, pre-made gaucamole, cheap sour cream, the cheese wasn’t melted, tiny portions, and half of the meat was cold. Worst burrito I’ve ever had and a disgusting excuse for a restaurant. Anyone who votes over two stars hasn’t been to any other Mexican restaurant ever.

This place is great for the money. Super prices, great food, and they have small burros for your kids.

I’ve eaten here twice now and wasn’t impressed. It’s more similar to something I would cook at home only not as delicious.

pretty bland, not going back since it reminds me of Chipotle prefer El Valle in San Rafael, closest thing I’ve found that reminds me of San Diego Mexican food.

I was here the other day and ordered a large chicken burrito with sour cream, guacamole, hot salsa and cheese. I believe the burrito I received was not large, further it lacked the hot salsa and the cheese. The chicken tasted boiled and was down in the flavor department. The rice was nice but the guacamole seemed to be a minuscule portion and could have used more flavor. I’d also ordered a green chile quesadilla with hot salsa. This was very good. The green chili flavor came through and the salsa was both hot and flavorful. Overall I think if they put the order together correctly the food is good, but this time the burrito was a miss.

I do not often crave Mexican food and I very rarely ever order a burrito(because I grew up in SoCal and much prefer burritos down south), but I got a hankering for Mexican food last night and I found myself pulling off the freeway to pick up dinner. The place was clean, the people were friendly and they accepted credit cards(even American Express). But the place was super small(seats a total of 3 people) and the menu was fairly limited. I ordered the carnitas burrito for myself and the shrimp burrito for my son. My carnitas burrito was bland — the pork had little to no seasoning. My son(who loves burritos), was not impressed with the shrimp burrito and gave the place a thumbs down. We will skip this place next time.

Worst Mexican food. Better off going to Taco Bell at this point. $ 3 – 4 for a single taco is pretty steep. The hard taco was the worst, stale and not edible.

WOW, this is a true«RANGEWAR» here, where Lucinda’s is concerned. To be honest, when there is this much swing in reviews, something is wrong and it’s often with the reviewers themselves, many of whom have unrealistic expectations. Lucinda’s is a tiny, Hole in the Wall, off the 101, There is really no seating, not much more parking and, there is a constant long line of, mostly«real» people, gardeners, carpenters, electricians, local workers who have little time and aren’t likely to spend a lot of $$$$ for a fast feed. These people are fiercely loyal and, rarely disappointed. No one goes to Lucinda’s for the BEST of anything. We go for consistent«what we expect». Good, clean, honest food at reasonable prices, given that it’s in Marin. This isn’t billed as authentic Mexican food. It’s LUCINDA’S version of Mexican food. Could the salsa be hotter? Absolutely!!! Could the service be a little less«eye roll» and a bit more«hello» and yet, just how much do you think these hard working people earn there, probably speaking very little English??? Give them a little bit of a break! We are even vegan and we were so well cared for, other places in the area pale by comparison. That they have freshly grilled vegetables and fresh beans and rice to fill their burritos in fresh, soft, hot tortillas, that they have handmade tamales, out of six types, 3 were vegetarian and two of those were vegan, makes me fiercely loyal. You don’t have to be mean to vote. Lucinda’s is humble and makes no pretensions about being anything else. Good grief guys. Lighten up a bit!

If you’ve ever uttered any of these phrases, you’ll probably like Lucinda’s: «I LOVE Dane Cook!» «Vanilla is my favorite!» «Budweiser is the best, but I like Coors too.» «Missionary is the only one I know.» I don’t mean that as an insult to the people who like this place; it’s just not for me. It’s the blandest Mexican food I’ve ever had, excluding Baja Fresh and its ilk. I’d even go to Chipotle instead of Lucinda’s; Chipotle’s food is too salty but at least it has flavor. My burrito was mainly black beans(although I found some chicken in the second part of the burrito). I assume cheese was in it, although I couldn’t tell. And although I ordered the burrito spicy, I honestly think either of my young children could have eaten that thing. They would have fallen asleep half way through, but they could handle the heat level. Sorry Lucinda’s. I’m glad you have a loyal and loving following.
