Very unprofessional. As a girl with very long hair it usually takes me up to an hour minimum to get my hair cut, today it took less than 20 minutes which is not a good thing. She didn’t wash my hair and didn’t take her time to understand what kind of haircut I wanted. As soon as I left I put my hair up in a bun due to unwashed and unstyled hair. Not the way you want to leave the hairdresser. Overall a bad experience.

I have requested a refund on the worst hair cut I have ever had at ERA and the manager after telling me «too bad, your hair will grow back» refused to refund my money. I really hope that others are spared by my writing this. I had my hair re-​cut today and the legitimate salon that I went to had to take my hair really short to even out and blend the hack job that ERA Salon did on my hair. I will continue to ask for a refund and keep you updated as to whether she will at least correct her mistake in the only way she can, refunding my money.

Jenny is hard working mother and business owner. I have been going to her before Era Salon opened. She always takes good care of me and accommodates to my schedule whenever possible. I like the clean professional environment at Era Salon and recommend them to anyone!

Very friendly and accommodating. Out of town visiting SF for wedding amidst rain storm. Regular salon of my sister in law closed because of RAIN??? This place accommodated five mani/​pedis for 4 girls and one adult. Saved the day!

Based on the other good reviews about the gel nails, I was hopeful. However, even though I made an appointment, poor Holly had to service 4 of us in one 45minute time slot, so she was incredibly rushed. The gels were sloppily done, and on day 10 (a gel manicure is supposed to last 2 – 3 weeks), one nail completely peeled off. Very disappointing!

It’s amazing, I am from N. Y on vacation to California, the best shellac manicure I’ve ever had from Thao Thi. She pays attention to detail and specially she’s very gentle. she doesn’t talk a lot and doesn’t ask too many privacy like other places else where, you can absolutely relax when you have your nails done. My shellac was last for weeks it’s amazing. I will definitely be back on the next vacation. And when you come in there ask for Thao technician she is the best. Great service!!!

ERA Salon is a breath of fresh air among the over-​priced hair salons in Mill Valley. Jenny does a great job cutting my hair, and she and her staff are always friendly and helpful. The shop is clean and convenient, with easy free parking and it’s open 7 days. What more could you ask for?

Jenny is great: friendly and professional. She is consistent and takes time to cut men’s hair the right way, which is tough to find. Reasonable prices and easy to schedule. Will certainly continue to make Jenny my regular stop for a good cut.

I am so glad I found ERA Salon. I’ve been to many mani/​pedi salons in SF and Marin. This place is a gem. Professional, thorough, polite, clean, up on the latest trends, ERA «nails» it. Jenny and Thao accommodate you in a pinch but never rush their work. My mani/​pedis last far longer than most others I’ve had. Highly recommend this place!

After giving up on my old nail salon, I shopped around Mill Valley for a better place. Too many locations feel dirty and their service is perfunctory but not Era Salon. The location has recently undergone a facelift and it looks wonderful — the wall of large windows makes it bright, the colors are light, the decorations simple, and most important the salon feels clean, clean, clean.
The hot stone massage with the pedicure is an unexpected and appreciated addition especially given their modest prices. I can’t speak for their haircuts but I highly recommend them for manicures and pedicures.

Just got a Brazilian wax here — best deal in Mill Valley by far, and Jenny did a fantastic job. A lot less painful than normal, and went by fairly quickly but still a very thorough job. Really nice salon, I’d recommend to anyone!

Era Salon is owned by Jenny. She is not only talented in hair and nail treatments and great with waxes but she is a positive person and just pleasant to be around. If you’re looking for a new salon I recommend you try Era!

Jenny just remodeled Era Salon and has a zen like feeling. Jenny cuts my kids hair and my husband’s and she does a fantastic job. Jenny also does nails with Thao — they are both excellent with mani and pedi’s. Making an appointment is best — instead of walk in!

I had a beautiful pedicure by a woman called Thao. She’s very gentle. The place is spotless.
They provide various other services. I believe that the salon is fairly new.
It was a very pleasant experience, and I plan to be a repeat customer.
