Coco cut my hair to get it ready for my «Mother of the Bride» hairstyle. She listened and understood completely the style I had in my head. She cut my hair perfectly and even though it’s been a while since the wedding, I am still getting compliments on the cut. She is amazing and I highly recommend her.

I’ve been using this salon for 3 – 4 years now and I love it! Rachele is the girl who does my hair and she just knows what’s right for me all the time! So if you need someone to totally understand you ask for Rachele I promise you won’t be disappointed!

I grew up in Marin and this is one of the nicest salon experiences I’ve ever had, and I won’t go anywhere else. Everyone is so happy and nice and everything is so pretty it makes me feel like a celebrity. They have the best hair products on the market and Kristy is the best colorist!

I’ve had great success with DPT haircutters over 15 years, most recently with Maya and Devon, who gave me great advice for taming my increasingly curly gray hair (Short answer: Grow it long & use good products.) It’s way softer and more glamorous, she gives me great cuts and she is a doll. Yes, it’s expensive, and no, not every cut from every stylist has been stellar. The worst was the day I accepted a keratin hair-​straightening treatment (think heat and formaldehyde.) They’ve improved their equipment since to lessen health risks to stylists, hair and customer, but I give it a wide berth.

I’ve been going to DPT for YEARS and at different locations and I can’t seem to stop going to them! The way they have all been trained is perfection and it shows. Not to mention they’re all BEAUTIFUL people!
Coco is the magician who cuts my hair meticulously and perfectly. I honestly won’t go to anyone else anymore. I have been growing out my hair for about 3 years now and am always scared someone is going to cut it even an inch too short. She cuts enough to make it feel EXTREMELY fresh and smooth, yet let’s me keep my length! Because of this, not only am I not worried at all when I go in to get a hair cut, but I even want to go more often now! All it’s done is help with my hair growth, not to mention looks so clean and polished afterwards. She’s also so fun to talk to during your hair appointment!
Michael is my UH-​MAZING colorist, and has changed my routine of highlights entirely! I used to get highlights followed by a base tint (since my natural hair color is dark brown) — however he gave his expert opinion on wanting to do highlights with NO base tint. At first I was worried just because it would be different– BUT I’M SO LUCKY AND HAPPY HE RECOMMENDED THAT! He is an artist and looks at your skin tone, natural hair color, eye color, everything and works with it to compliment your entire face. I look different with my new hair and everyone has noticed it and said it matches me more :) Don’t walk… RUN to him!
I love the entire mood and vibe at DPT. Maika at the front desk (hopefully I didn’t butcher her name!) is also SO kind and sweet every time I see her! love her!

Michael is the one to go to for your color! He listened to my every word during the consultation and had a vision of what would work best on me. He can make your hair the best it can possibly be while still keeping it healthy! He is also such a sweet heart to be around. The entire staff is lovely!

Maya rules! Where I was once shaggy and greasy, I am now stylish and dapper. Furthermore, things have seemed to spice up in the bedroom after I got my cut from her. So, basically if you want to look great and then have lots of sex, you should get your hair did from Maya!

Maya Lowe Batki is the best ever! She has been cutting my hair for years and never fails to make me feel happy, stylish and sexy! She has seen me from short to long and back again! Maya gives honest advice and keeps up on the latest trends. I trust her entirely from trim to dramatic change, she nails it every time! Thank you Maya!

I am SO lucky that Paul Carter is now at diPietro Todd Salon in Mill Valley! He was my hair stylist in San Francisco for at least two years, and when I moved to San Rafael I wasn’t able to see Paul often enough. So I am so glad that he made the move up here, now I can see him more frequently (my hair is happy!!). Paul is as meticulous as a surgeon and he always gives me a fantastic cut and style. I have very long curly/​wavy hair which can be very hard to tame but he always whips it into beautiful shape. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair.
In addition to being a fantastic stylist, Paul has a heart of gold. When I approached him (I hesitated since I absolutely hate asking anyone for anything!) to see if he would be willing to donate either a cut, color, or style for the Sonoma County Kidney Crisis Foundation Fall Raffle (a group which I volunteer for — 100% of profits go to patients in need), he jumped at the opportunity to provide all three of these services and a fabulous goody bag in collaboration with his team at diPietro Todd. What a blessing to our patients in need!

I’ll get straight to the point. Yureesh is the best and only hair stylist I will allow to get anywhere near my hair. I have tried more people than I’d like to count in the bay area and he is it. He is a perfectionist, creative and perceptive. He can take your vision and make it a reality but better.
The salon also offers lovely service and I would say all-​in-​all you can’t get much better.

Paul Carter has been styling my hair for a decade now and I wish I could give him more than 5 stars. Paul is an Avant Garde stylist who is all about the details. His masterful techniques and dedication to his clientele are the reasons why I continue to visit Paul. My mother is a stylist, and while she enjoys visiting me she always plans a haircut with Paul. The salon is top notch and compliments their stylists work. Wether you want long, short layers, curly, straight, or just a blow dry & style, hands down you can always trust Paul Carter to be your man!

This five star rating is for Maya Batki. I’ve gone to several hairstyling salons and no one has ever cut my hair the way she has. My hair is super curly and wavy, she knew exactly how to shape and cut my wild hair. Plus, she’s sweet and easy to talk to. I’ll never go to anyone else again! thanks for the haircut, i feel and look great! My kids even liked it. Guess who I’m bringing next:)

Amita is a fantastic stylist. I have been going to her for years and never been disappointed. I always walk out feeling great. The greatest trait for a hair designer besides skill at the art is the ability to listen to the customer. Amita listens to how you want your hair cut and offers great feedback on whether or not it will work for you. it’s a discussion and I appreciate the time she takes.
I am not sure what happened with other post concerning unsatisfactory second visit. Sounds like she was not clear on what she wanted done or did not know how to use the right product to get the desired results, which is a crucial element in hair design… should call the salon and talk to Amita. since she’s the owner, she wants her customers to be satisfied.

This 5 star rating is for Coco. She is a master at her art!!! I love to sing her praises. :0)
My hair is fine and thin… pretty much a worst case scenario but she manages to give my hair some life and more important, attitude.
I was so pleased with her that I sent over my husband. Coco worked her magic and styled my man perfectly!
I can’t tell you how nice it is to not have to head into the city for every cut, bang or neck trim. I truly doubted I could find such FLAVOR in Marin… Thanks Coco! You rock and I thought the Unilocal world should know!
As for the salon, it is always clean and the staff is friendly. I don’t know what more I could ask for. :0)

I’ve been getting my hair colored at the salon on Fillmore street for many years but was tired of diving into the city and decided to try the Mill Valley location. I am always worried about trying a new colorist as my hair can come out looking too dark. Brooke did an amazing job with my color! She’s a very good listener and understood exactly what I was looking for and made some great suggestions about how to make the color even better. I was very happy with Brooke and my hair color and will be going back in six weeks.

What can I say, I love Coco! She just started at Mill but she has been doing my hair and makeup for years. Even while listening to my needs and wants, she manages to be entertaining, love it!
As long as she is at DiPietro, I’ll be a client, even though Mill Valley is a long way from home.

LOVE this salon. I always leave feeling glamorous and am never worried I will get a bad cut or color. I absolutely LOVE Maya for a cut. She is a true artist and so much fun to chat with! I have been going to Maya for years and she has cut my hair super short and now it is long, and it seems like she is equally as talented with both short and long haircut styles! Angel for color is great and did a wonderful job correcting a bad color job from another salon.
Bottom Line: The place offers a fun atmosphere and I always leave with perfectly coifed locks! Not to mention the employees are nice, respectful and understand the value of good customer service!

As I sit under the heat lamp waiting for my hair to be done, I draft this review– I haven’t even seen my hair… BUT — this is the nth time I’ve been here and it’s been consistent and I can’t be happier with the service. My two go tos here are: Angel for color and Yureesh for cut. I don’t go anywhere else– even when I lived in LA — I flew to the Bay and make the trek to Marin to see them. I am a lifer. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Ever. My hair is happy and it looks pretty Fantastic. And I won’t even begin to tell you about the compliments I get with my cut and color.
I had ombré color before it was even cool. That’s how fashion forward Angel was… And then it was made even more dramatic by Yureesh’s steady and talented hands with my haircut… In the end, I looked like a million bucks and a half!
