Great home town pizza joint. I grew up on James Gang and am admittedly biased. The pizzas are equal amounts cheese and sauce. The crust is cooked well enough to hold all toppings. Just plain old good pizza.

I lived in the valley for years and moved away. Knowing we would be passing thru we wanted to eat James gang sad to said it was nearly as good as it once was. We arrived around 1;30 pm we asked what the soup of the day was the waitress said I haven’t started one yet ;(at 1:30 when u open at 11am? Food had no flavor diff not worth the $ 44 bill. Went next store and someone saw he had our left overs in the box and asked if we liked it, I gave them a honest answer and said years ago it was good but not now she said that’s what I was told too by another customer ;(

I think the subs, and pasta dishes are average. The pizza preparation is different as they put the«toppings» under the cheese. They are great for groups, families, or delivering a post game or performance gathering.

For those that like Dominos /Papa Johns type pies this may be good … but not for me(noted pizza snob). I did like the cheesesteak … a lot … but can’t give this more than two … sorry :(

It is not a restaurant where you must dress up, or a place where anyone might feel uncomfortable. It is a homey easy going place that sometimes is filled with teens, or families, or just adults, and that’s ok! The pizza here is really good, but our favorite is the chicken calzone. Fabulous. Served with enough sauce on the side to really dive in and enjoy. James Gang is a middletown staple. We would order delivery but alas we are half a block out of their cut off zone! But eating in is fine too. Try the meatballs on the pizza. Yum.

I add mushroom to the white pizza and it’s my second favorite pizza in the county. They now have a very large large screen TV. Lunch service is always slow, but so are the other spots; it’s a lazy kinda town and that’s fine with me! They do a lot of take out business. The antipasta salad is a big hit with my family as are the cheesy fries!

Pizza is not so good, but I do enjoy their subs and some of their starters. Good atmosphere and friendly service.

Classic sub shop with delivery. The food is above average but the pizza, Stromboli, calzones are exceptional. If you order delivery it will take 45 minutes plus. Get the Calzone.

First time here and I enjoyed it very much. My friends and I spent the whole day tubing, and this was the best ending to such a great day. The pizza was delish and the waitress was very friendly. Fyi, they have really good mozzarella sticks… like they’re really good. That’s all I can say since I’ve only been once. But it was a great experience and would love to visit again.

This is our go-to place when we visit Gladhill Furniture once a year. My impression this time was a bit poorer than last year’s. One waitress was waiting about six tables. There was one longish wait, but the service was acceptable and friendly. I started with an appetizer salad. I shouldn’t have bothered. It was a heap of wilting, soggy, and slightly pink iceberg lettuce with a few bits of carrots and radishes(clearly bagged salad from Costco on its last day) and two wedges of tomato. A package of Ken’s dressing comes on the side. I left most of it untouched, but the waitress made no comment when she carted it away. The fries were slightly overdone but were hot and had a nice taste. My wife really liked her eggplant parmesan. We got the cheese pizza(with about 5 cheeses on it). While the sauce and crust were OK, the gooey cheese was delicious — helped by the more unusual swiss and american cheese mixed in.
