CVS/pharmacy

Terrible pharmacy. No answer and have remained on the line as a provider for greater than 5 minutes, no option to leave voicemail message RX. Bad patient care– all my patients will switch pharmacies in this area.

I would give zero stars if possible. We moved to this town 2.5 weeks ago. Over the last two weeks we have tried unsuccessfully to fill a prescription for Adderall for my ADD, which was written by Johns Hopkins Medical Center. Their answer is that Adderall is a controlled substance, which I already know.
The staff is inept, just repeating that it is hard for them to get an allotment of this drug. I said «This is CVS, how can you not obtain Adderall or a generic in over two weeks». The pharmacist’s reply is that I should go back to the CVS location with which I used to get my monthly prescription. I told her «that CVS is 50 miles away» and she replied «That’s all I can tell you».
This is unacceptable, especially from a large chain. I need this medication to function effectively at my high stress, mentally challenging job, where I need 100% attention. The feeling I got from the pharmacist was that they didn’t care. My wife agreed that the 5 times or more that she went to get the prescription that the pharmacists had a cavalier attitude about filling this prescription.
Ironically, this CVS is due to expand into a larger location across the street. How can you expand when you cannot effectively manage a small store?

I’d love to give this pharmacy zero stars. Staff is unfriendly, sometimes even mean and vindictive if you ask to many questions. Avoid this place if you can.

The pharmacy staff needs help in customer service the front of the house staff is very helpful and pleasant.

Surprising great customer service, especially for such a large retail chain. The pharmacy staff is usually helpful and all cashiers are cheerful. Best CVS location I’ve been to in the MD/​DC Metro area.
