My go-to place when I forget to bring a lunch because it’s one of the fastest and most affordable food options in the North Terminal. It’s basically your typical Wendy’s. They’ve got friendly staff and they do a great job of keeping the food quality consistent, but sometimes the wait between ordering and getting the food can be a bit on the long side for someone who’s only got 30 minutes to eat. Prices are average for an airport location and they don’t always have the same specials or promo items that a standalone Wendy’s would. It’s a safe, reliable option for reasonably priced food.

Its not the best burguer… But has a very good quality! Is the perfect choice for a snack at the airport. Fast, tasty and you can eat/walk hahahaha

There was a bit of a line, but it went through quickly. The food(bacon cheeseburger with fries) was nice and fresh. We ate about 1pm so there were a lot of people ordering to keep the cooks making fresh food — nothing sitting under a food warmer. The staff was friendly and efficient compared to other restaurants/food places we went to in the airport. We topped off our lunch with a yummy Frosty. Overall great experience! PS– As I sit here writing this review, the line is super long, but I think it’s because it’s one of the better, and more affordable, places to eat here.

At terminal D, Wendy’s is probably the most affordable place to dine. I always stop here on my way to and from the Caribbean. And I never really feel like paying more than $ 10 for a layover meal. Wendy’s always gives me a quick fix, albeit unhealthy: X The staff keeps the line running swiftly. They promptly take your order and usher you to the waiting area. And within a few minutes, your order is ready. Dang. Be sure to stay alert and listen for your name. My only complaint is the absence of a value menu. I love Wendy’s usual deal for cheap chicken nuggets. Sigh. The usual combo meal with a drink is ~$ 7. Can’t get any cheaper than that at an airport! Note: unless you’re willing to shell out more money for a nicer dine-in restaurant, the Wendy’s area is the only place with tables. There’s three tables on the side and a small bar area for you to eat your food. So, no Starbucks café-type areas to get work done in terminal D. Boo.

Take about desperation. After my boyfriend’s sister had gotten detained at Immigration for questioning(long story, but the outcome was ultimately positive), we were very short on time before our flight to Atlanta started boarding. Because of this, Wendy’s was definitely the only thing we had time for aside from Starbucks or Hagen Daaz. We lined up behind 8 or 10 other people(seriously, 9PM at night and this Wendy’s was bustling) starving, ordered our chicken sandwiches, fries and a side of chicken nuggets(really hungry) and waited. The little crew manning the Wendy’s was definitely more than a little overwhelmed by the people waiting, but eventually we got our food minus the BBQ sauce my boyfriend had asked for to accompany his chicken nuggets. We were so desperate to wolf down some food before our flight though, it didn’t matter. My grilled chicken club was good, his grilled chicken sandwich was good, the chicken nuggets were good, the fries were good. It was regular fast food. End of story. Much cheaper though(and more satisfying than the meal we’d eaten for twice the price at the Island Bar and Grill on our first pass through Miami en route to the Caribbean. In a pinch, I’d come back here again.

I had a 4 hour layover at the airport until my 4 hour flight to Phoenix Arizona. Incidentally I was insanely hungry so when I saw this Wendy’s I was ready to eat. I ordered a Baconator and got it rather quickly. The servers weren’t necessarily rude to me they were just doing their job. However when I got my burger I inspected it(a habit I now have after a year working in fast food). Now when I looked at my burger it all looked okay. I could tell the meat was a little old but it wasn’t too old so I ate it. Before I got on my flight I started feeling a little nauseous. I thought it was because I ate too quickly and I threw up once the plane took off. However, as time passed and I continued to throw up, I also got diarrhea. I threw up all of my food and I couldn’t even hold down water and yet everything kept flowing. Needless to say it didn’t take me long to realize I got FOODPOISONING from this restaurant. I suggest that you avoid this restaurant at all cost there are plenty of other places to eat at. It is an airport after all.

If you keep walking past the Wendy’s, you’ll hit a food court with a lot more options. Nevertheless, sometimes when I’ve just gotten off the plane, I’m definitely in the mood for some junky fast food. This Wendy’s has a limited menu — for instance, they only have the 10 chicken nugget meal, and you can *only* order it as a meal. For someone who really wanted just 4 nuggets, it was kind of annoying. The prices are pretty steep, so it’s not really cheaper than the other options in the airport. All of the staff speaks Spanish a lot better than they speak English, and they have the interesting policy of calling out your orders based on the name on your credit card. There’s limited seating off the side, but this location is open later than the other eateries in the food court.

I’m usually not impressed by fast food places, but this airport has great controls of getting ppl in & out quickly! The shift manager was all over it. Loved his sense of urgency!

The system they have of calling the customers name when the order is ready is not a good idea when none of them speak English.

Ok this is fast food place that for $ 7 you get feed 100% fast and cheap. It’s an airport ! It works. The Cuban ladies working there are very funny. The place is clean and usually there a line that goes fast What else? 4 stars for a Wendy for convenience in the airport

Wow took me awhile to find this Wendy’s Unilocal review page for Miami International Airport. So I am new in town because of a connecting flight and I do not know the culture here. Well … I expected more from a Wendy’s because I often go back at home. The service I got was absolutely horrific and rude cashier who got my order wrong. I am actually going to name her because I am just that pissed off at her attitude and racist demeanor. This is actually rare for me to do… to name the person who served me… I am just that pissed off at her. Her name is Yuliet on the receipt and she worked on Nov 20, 2012. If you are her employer, I think you should discipline her for her rude attitude and for getting her orders wrong. If I ever happen to pass through Miami International Airport again, I am going to Mcdonalds even if its farther for me to walk.

Slowest service ever. I think the people that work here forget that it is an airport and you are trying to catch a flight. There were two people on line, but they felt the need to spend more time tidying up and refilling the condiments than actually taking someone’s order. The owners of this establishment really need to retrain their staff, or get a new one.

Got food poisoning from this MIA Wendy’s, and was barfing my guts up by the time I got to my house in LA a few hours later. You know how sometimes you get that funny feeling while you are eating something that something just isn’t right? I don’t know how many times in my life I have eaten the chicken sandwich combo from Wendy’s and enjoyed it, but this last time a few days ago has done me in! Never again, which is probably a good thing for my weight ;) I had that funny feeling while eating the chicken sandwich, like something was off with the oil, it smelled too oniony or something. I have since decided that they were likely using old oil. Honest to God Wendy’s! I know you are in the airport, but try not to be totally disgusting and skimp on quality!!!

All I wanted was cheeseburger, extra pickles, no onion, ketchup on the side. With all the complicated orders they get, you’d think this would be fairly easy. But no. The first attempt had no pickles or onions. The second had no ketchup. The third had extra pickles and extra onions. After the forth I called it quits.

All I wanted was some chicken nuggets for my tired little one. So I asked if I could just get chicken nuggets and I was told no! I was also informed that I had to buy the combo meal! But I didn’t want fries or a drink… I just wanted nuggets. Isn’t the concept of the combo meal an upgrade from just getting the sandwich. When did the combo become an actual single item… take it or leave it kind of attitude? I was not happy with this but did have a hungry child. They were nice enough to give me a bottle of water instead of soda… so you get a little credit for that. This location takes advantage of the traveler who is stuck in an airport. Hopefully I will never have to make a purchase here again!!! If I only want chicken nuggets, then just sell me that. Don’t cram unwanted food items down my throat!!!

Okay, granted — travel today almost uniformly sucks and I try to give Most businesses the benefit of the doubt but, considering that Most airports vendors charge more than their independent vendors due to airport fees you would think they might try a little harder to keep customers in the corporate fold… or not. The next time a Wendy’s employee looks at me like a Martian for asking for Ketchup for fries will be the last. This isn’t Europe, and I’m not using Mayo! Wendy Thomas are you listening?

Shocked that I’m the first to review this place and even more shocked that I’m reviewing a fast food place at all, but desperate times call for desperate measures. You need to know about this place and I need to tell you. So, Wendy’s. Can’t ever say that I’ve been to a Wendy’s before, so I have nothing to compare it to. What I can tell you is that I ordered their chicken apple salad with pecans and pomegranate vinaigrette on the side and honestly, this salad was not bad. Highest praise I can give fast food: not bad. The chicken was fresh and moist, the apples were crisp, they left off the cheese(per my request) and the pecans were tasty. Husband ordered a burger and they got the order slightly wrong(put on mayo when he asked for it off), but it looked large and tasty and he said it was pretty much as advertised. Staff was lovely and worked quickly — a tough prospect given that everyone in the airport was in a hurry. Still, they did a good job(except for the mayo snafu). If you’re at this terminal, you could do worse.
