I’ve been visiting this salon on and off for the last 3 – 4 years. I found out recently they moved down the street from their former location and that’s where my last visit on January 2014 took place. I walked in for my appt., there was no one at the front desk. I stood and waited while 3 young manicurists chatted among themselves while at the same time being engrossed in cell phone conversations; one was furiously texting. Not once did any of these 3 young women look up, make eye contact with me or asked if I needed anything. I realize they’re probably ‘independent contractors’ but there’s such a thing as showing common courtesy to paying customers where they’re there to pay you or a co-worker. Finally, the owner saw me, said hello and asked me to sit down until she was ready for me. She’s very kind and friendly. While waiting, I didn’t find any magazines to read so it was a very boring wait time. Two longtime hair stylists were there, I didn’t see any others from the previous location. One of the hair stylists is an older woman, very thin and petite with yellow hair, she was presented to me as colorist a while back. Unfortunately, the work she performed on my hair at that time was a disaster; her own hair color always looks awful. Another reviewer mentioned a hair stylist being on her cell phone while working on a client’s hair and I’ve also experienced that here, it’s not a pleasant experience and not very businesslike. They should stop this practice here and in all other salons. Enough with the cell phone fixation! The new place is much smaller than the former place, but it’s new and very well put together. It’s in the Subway shopping center facing Bird Rd. I recommend Rebecca’s.

I have been coming here for about 3 yrs and I love it. Everyone is so nice, friendly, and treat you like they’ve known you forever. All of the services they offer are great and the women are all so talented. They always try to accommodate to your needs and work with you as best they can with appointments. I did a spa day for my bff just before her wedding and they really made us feel special with Mimosas(I asked for it so the owner learned to make them) which were delish. Highly recommend.

Best mani-pedi I have gotten! I came in with an appointment to do my nails with Amanda who had been recommended by a friend, the service was excellent, and my nails came out gorgeous!!! Hands and feet were only $ 37!!! French included!!! I’m definitely coming back at least once a month! She was incredible!!! And they have specials Tuesdays and Wednesdays for $ 30!

This is about the ONLY place I LOVE to do my eyebrows at. They are a little pricey($ 12) but it is completely worth every single penny. Rebecca analyzes and actually takes the time and effort to do them perfectly. Every single salon Ive been to heats up wax, places it on your skin, and rips. Period. Not here. She tweezes and perfects exactly how you asked for and wont be satisfied until you are. Great job! Also, I am getting a facial soon so I will update on that. =)

I had a bad experience with this hair salon. When I called for an appt, I was asked whether I spoke Spanish, I said no. When I went in for my appt, turned out that my stylist didn’t speak a word of English. The owner was helping her. I wanted to lighten my color. They took the old color off and kept saying that it looks great, even better than they thought. When they put my new color on, it became just tiny bit lighter than the original color. We decided we should do a haircut too, before I noticed the hair on my forehead was so short that it looked like I had bangs. Well, I didn’t ask for them. It took 4 hours and $ 160. I am left with stains on my skin. The salon is very loud — they yell at each other /not in a fighting way, just talk loudly/. The stylists talk on their cell phones while they treat your hair. Someone stopped outside with a puppy in their car, my stylist dropped the scissors and left me in the chair to go see the puppy.

Did you ever walk into a salon and see everyone chatting away like they’ve known each other their whole lives and think, wow that’s really nice to be so close, well this is that salon. For the New Year I decided to get a new do and there is no one else I’d trust to get me the results I want with the least damage to my «virgin» hair, on New Year’s Eve no less than Rebecca’s. The thing that I love most about coming here is that every process feels like a team effort and community decision. I personally love lots of input so I welcome this. While mom was getting her mani pedi in one of those nice spa chairs, I sat in the hot seat. Josefina, Rebecca and I waited patiently while the timer ticked away, then when it was time for the big reveal we all squealed in excitement! I feel like a new woman! Cut, high lights, blow dry and iron without breaking the bank and I’m ready to ring in the new year!
