Found this on Groupon and realized it was right next to the house! Glad we saw it on Groupon though, otherwise I would never have known it was there. Kind of hidden, but a definite gem. I don’t think I’ve had such authentic Italian pizza since I’ve lived in Miami for 9 years now. Wood fired and tasty. I also had a pear and walnut salad which was delicious. If you’re in the mood for an appetizer, the fried mozzarella is DELICIOUS. Will be going back for sure now that I know it’s there.

The menu here is extremely varied and eccentric which I love and which is rare for any pizza joint in this area, the customer service is pretty good in my experience(once again, for this area). I can’t really speak to the experience of being inside this restaurant as I always usually order out, but every single problem we have faced(wrong order, etc.) has been met with friendly reception and a free dessert. We have yet to try something that we dislike from here. It is apparent that there is a lot of craftsmanship and thought put into the menu and the food, and I really appreciate that. I love this place! :)

Ordered delivery to try it out due to the good reviews. Pizza was decent. Came before the 45 minutes BUT it was cold. The cheese didn’t seem very cheesy. More like the frozen pizza type of consistency. But for 2 pizzas and $ 38 later I think I would skip for a real authentic Italian place for pizza or just stick to Dominos.

First the food — I’ve had lunch here twice, pizza both times. The crust is thin and crispy and the spicy salamino is a nice option. It’s the right amount of sauce, cheese, and toppings. I wish they used fresh mozzarella as a rule, not an additional topping though. As for the service — the lunchtime waiter was uninterested at best and deceptive at worst. The lunch menu(which is considerably cheaper) was only presented when I asked for it. I was never offered a refill and when I asked for one it was filled only halfway. Finally when the bill came the waiter used a Sharpie to cover up the 15% and 18% tip amount so you only see the 20% amount. Well since I can do math I gave a custom appropriate tip amount but found the whole technique deceptive. It’s sad because the pizza is quite good but the business needs to shape up its staff.

L’ incontro is really a nice place to go for a Pizza. I have to say, it was the best Pizza I had in years. They are using an Authentic Wooden Oven from Naples Italy. The Pizza is simply perfect, not to thick and not to thin. Delicious Pizza, great Focaccia. I Really recommend it !!!

This is certainly a hidden gem. We were actually looking for a Spanish restaurant and by accident ended up here. We read the good reviews and decided to go in. Our server was very friendly and the food was Delicious! I had the Penne al Salmone which is probably the best one I’ve ever had, with a very light creamy sauce, and my friends ordered the Linguine Gamberi and the Flounder, both delicious as well. We topped it off with a very yummy and delicate chocolate mousse with vanilla ice cream. Wow! The prices are very reasonable and the only reason I don’t give it a five star is because we thought the glass of Pinot Grigio was too expensive for a neighborhood restaurant. It was our fault for not noticing, but still. Aside from that I highly recommend it!

This place had one of the best pizzas I have ever had. Their brie and caramelized onion pizza is an absolute dream and has made me a fan of this place. Pros — really good pizza and breads. Cons — a little slow with the service, especially when the place is kind of empty. I would definitely recommend this place and will be making a visit again soon.

It is unfortunate that I have to write this review. I only order their Truffle pizza which is AMAZING and I live in kendall, which may be a drive for the delivery. My issue is; this is the second time I order and the pizza gets delivered stone cold! Im not looking for concessions or free, just hot PIZZA!!! When I expressed my dissatisfaction the first time the cook actually came and hand delivered a pizza wrapped so I can have a hot pizza. this time it was not the case. I appreciate the cooks time and his wanting to keep a customer happy! Not this time around when I told the guy on the phone what happeded about the cold food, his answer was come in next time and eat it here ill give you a discount… I said why not have your delivery people use insolated bags, so the food arrives HOT! his answer well im not changing the delivery company… so you would rather loose a customer than to solve the issue of a hot delivery? Again why not get insolated bags, he said you need to come to the resataurant and ill give you hot food. What the point of delivery. If this place cant deliver food hot then they need to shorten the area of delivery… Poor customer service from here… everyone raves about them I unfortunately will give my business to someone else… I shouldn’t have to heat my food after 45 min and pay for it and get poor reaction from this establishment… And one star is to many to rate this place in my opinion… Unfortunately I like their truffle pizza Never again!!!

Excellent food, the chicken parmesan proportions was huge, the beer was cold and the music was choice.

This is absolutely one of the best Italian places we have ever been to. It truly is a hidden gem in southwest Miami… or the whole city for that matter. It has a phenomenal aesthetic beauty inside that makes you literally forget where you are and think you’re in some small Tuscan restaurant in the middle of the country. Don’t let the strip mall location fool you… this place is worth the trip. For Miami, it’s all Cuban, Mexican, seafood, and the normal stuff. So finding a killer Italian place in the middle of a strip mall is a huge win. The wood-fired oven will make everything come out with that true Italian taste that most of the New York-wannabe joints can’t come close to. Any pizza… any pasta… the free bread with pesto sauce… the Nutellino desert… everything. You won’t be disappointed!

Ordered for the first time for pick-up a few days ago. I am a huge fan of brick oven pizza, specifically the arugula and prosciutto one. I must say this is by far the best one I’ve tasted in the area! The service was very friendly and the restaurant very nice and cozy, will definitely go back to dine-in. The only thing I would add to get the pizza I ordered on point is some shaved parmesan on top and a little more arugula.

Haven’t had a chicken Parm this good in a really long time. The pink sauce was delicious too bad we ordered it for the girls. My wife and I are getting it next time. For dessert we had the Nutella dessert no words here it was so good! Service was great and staff was very attentive.

So here we go with the rare and highly coveted five star review. We were looking for something different to eat last night and stumbled upon this new little spot on Unilocal. After looking at the images and watching the video decided to drive over and give it a try. We were pleased to find that on the Friday night the parking and the restaurant were only about half-full. The inside was clean well decorated and cozy. We started off by ordering the pesto focaccia and Capresse salads, which were both excellent appetizers. We also ordered a margherita pizza, a mushroom pie, and baked ziti. The focaccia with pesto was just as described by the other Unilocalers, delicious, well-balanced and the perfect start to the meal. The Capresse salad was equally good with a wonderful mozzarella and a thick hearty slice of tomato surrounded by fresh basil. The vinaigrette on the table and olive oil were both of high-quality. When the pizzas came out we we’re pleased to find that they were cooked to the perfect doneness. The pasta was served bubbling in a dish that must have exceeded 500° when It came to the table. The sauce from the ziti made for a perfect dipping sauce for the pizza crust. We ended the evening by enjoying the Nutella calzone which was amazing. Overall an excellent meal with excellent service and close to home. We will definitely be back and anticipate that this spot will become a staple for us.

Stopped in for lunch expecting big crowds and was pleasantly surprised to find the place relatively empty. The interior is sweet reminiscent of someone’s idea of an Italian villa I suppose. Blue and white checkered tablecloths are on all of the(12) tables. Only three were occupied. With one line gentleman nursing a glass of wine at the bar. We were greeted immediately upon seating(by greeted I mean approached by the server who laid our menus on the table and said ‘drinks?’). Admittedly the service improved exponentially from that point on. The freshly wood oven toasted ‘focaccia’ was brought right away and delicately drizzled with oil and rosemary and sea salt and served with a lovely pesto sauce for dipping. I could have made a meal out of it, so tasty. The wood oven pizza topped with chicken was perfectly cooked. Always worry about the wood oven charring the bottom but this was perfect. My companion ordered the chicken parm with pasta– the chicken parm, while tasty suffered a worse fate than the pizzA and was a little too crispy on the edges for our liking. Offering a chance at redemption I finished my soda and waited to see how long it would take for a refill. 5 seconds. Winner. My meal was less than 10 dollars and I had food to go. Rey it. You will like it.

Hidden gem! Tucked in a little corner of a small, out of the way shopping center is this little slice of heaven. The place is decorated simply but elegantly and the service was phenomenal. The waiter was friendly and very willing to make recommendations. We started with the foccaccia and HOLYPESTO! The first pesto I have ever had where the flavors were balanced and no one ingredient overpowers the other. I could’ve eaten that for days. I ordered the pizza and it was so wonderfully done. The sauce is slightly sweet and the cheese was salty and fresh. My husband had the lasagna and it is definitely what I will have next time. Super meaty and cheese, the epitome of wood fired Italian. This is a wonderful spot and we look forward to ordering again, especially since they deliver!!!

I am a big fan of woodfire oven pizza and this place does not disappoint. It is a very quaint restaurant with a nice ambiance. Staff is helpful and friendly. The portion are a good size and you will definitely not leave hungry. They bring foccacia bread and an amazing pesto to the table. We started with the fried mozzarella. The mozzarella is good and is served on top of marinara. The Margherita Pizza was good and I love the sauce. The crust is nice and crunchy. We ordered the ham and cheese calzone and it is delicious. It is big enough to share with three people. We ended the meal with the nutella calzone and it was heavenly. I will definitely be back.

This little gem is hidden at the back of the Publix plaza. The ambiance is friendly and inviting. The wood over is the center piece that greets you the moment you walk in! Foccia and pesto was a welcome appetizer. The waiter recommended a new wine, a little stronger than a chianti, but as strong a merlot. It was delicious and happy to have two glasses for the price of one at happy hour! Kids had the plain cheese pizza, just the right size for them, no fighting. The procuitto and mushroom pizza was delicious. Each ingredient brings is own flavor to the pizza. The sause we light and zesty. We finished big with the Nutella calzone. Sorry Anthony’s, we don’t have to pay your premium prices anymore for premium wood fired pizza!

Yes! We found some good pizza in South Florida! Great Dough, Quality cheese, perfectly cooked pizza pie. I’m always hesitant to try new pizza parlors, but the excellent reviews lead me to this place and we weren’t disappointed.
We arrived after 4 so of course it was empty, just how I like it! Our server was extremely polite and courteous giving us ample time to look over the menu. We decided to try two small pies to explore their selection. The small is personal size. We ordered the Italian Sausage and A White Pizza(mozzarella, Brie, Gorgonzola and Parmesan) both were delicious, but I preferred the Italian Sausage. The crust was delicious! I took a Homemade Tiramisu to go that looked amazing, I can only assume it taste as good as it looks. I look forward to returning and trying their pasta dishes.
