This is a sad review… I HATE1 star reviews but I really think in IMO that this is valid. To start the order took forever to be done by the person on the phone, I don’t know if the person was not paying attention, but it took my sister about 20 min. To order 1 veggie pizza. she repeated herself about 3 times! The pizza came after 40 min., the place is literally a couple blocks away from my sis. This pie was barely warm, the tomatoes looked pink instead of red, peppers & mushrooms looked out of a can. As a cook myself you can’t fool me. Unfortunately pizza hut or papa johns would have been better.(I am NOT kidding) Their large size pizza($ 20) it’s the size of a medium as well, we were 4& didn’t have 2 slices for ea of us. Very sad that the ownership changed, I’ve had really good pizza here when it was Tango’s pizza.(?) On a positive note someone called my sister back to apologize about the delay and to ensure we had our pizza…

I want to warn others that this place has changed owners, so my previous review is to be disregarded. I did try it again, recently, and was very disappointed. We sat at a table and were basically ignored until we went up to the counter, still ignored, until we tried to grab a menu, then we were told to take one. We got our drinks fairly promptly after that but then waited and waited for the food. We were asked again for what toppings we wanted and we repeated the order. We finally asked at the counter about our salad, which apparently they had forgotten about. When they finally brought out the pizza, it was not what we ordered and was covered with a topping I couldn’t eat. So I ended up not trying the pizza. My husband finally got his salad, with no dressing, When we asked for the dressing again, they brought out the wrong one. At this point we were laughing because we decided it was just not our day. We cut our losses and went to eat at Chicken Kitchen, where we were served in five seconds. We had wasted a good 45 minutes or more at the pizza place and the chairs were not comfortable! The server apologized but didn’t seem all that concerned. I think writing down the orders would help, for one! Let me add that the place was by no means busy and we were one of two parties seated. The other party was already eating when we came in. A few people came to get take-out, but no big orders. Certainly nothing to throw them into enough of a tizzy that they should start getting the orders wrong.

Read the previous reviews on this place and decided to give it a try since I live in the neighborhood… I should’ve been tipped off by the fact that when I called to place an order for pick-up, the person taking my order had no idea what he was doing… But since I’m a trooper, I figured it was still worth a shot. I went with the Angelli Pizza since it was recommended in a previous review… I was not impressed… The pizza was VERY greasy. Mind you, one of the ingredients for this pizza was butter… This thing had so much butter that it actually seeped through the cardboard box… The ingredients didn’t seem fresh(ie. The mushrooms and the sundried tomatoes seemed to come from a can) and the cheese seemed processed… I gave this place two stars just becaused I am judging after only one visit… Even though it is located in a convenient place for me, I think there are way better pizza places in Kendall(ie. Mike’s Pizza)…

Everyone I ever share this hidden Kendall jewel with always agrees… Best Pizza in Miami! I have nothing but compliments to give about this place. The staff treats you like family when you come in(i’ve even ordered ahead on the phone so that if I’d like to eat in instead of take-out, the food is fresh and piping hot as I’m walking in the door), the pasta dishes are delicious, and like I mentioned before, best pizza in Miami! I live walking distance from there so I frequent the place alot… whenever I don’t want to cook, I always go for Angeli’s… and their prices are so great that it’s better bang for your buck than one of those crappy pizzas from the frozen food aisle. Their ingredients are amazingly fresh. I feel like I need to get the word out about the pizza at this place because if it closes, I think I might shed a few tears. Kendall wouldn’t be the same without their pizza! Try the Angeli’s Pizza if you go… It’s a white pizza loaded with fresh garlic, sundried tomatoes, and mushrooms… aMMMMMMazing!

Angeli’s Pizza is a great little restaurant with a very casual atmosphere. It does not seat very many people, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in quality. The service was excellent and prompt. The menu is varied and the selection of pizzas is great. I had the margheritta pizza and I loved it. I will certainly be returning in the future to try some other dishes.
