The hotel was great! Front desk staff and Housekeeping staff were amazing. Traveling with a pet can be so challenging but since we were relocating we traveled with our dog. When we left the hotel the dog would bark and we would not know. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived and our Housekeeper Linda was trying to calm our Hazel down. Normally I would have expected a call from front desk on my cell of the nuisance or a complaint that the other neighbors may have been bothered by the barking but Linda understood our challenge and told us not to worry about it and she wanted to make sure our Hazel was ok. She gave us tips on how to help Hazel feel more at home and sure enough it worked and made our stay 100% better. She went above and beyond by randomly checking in on us and making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Thank you Linda! To make things better, the front desk staff saw we were staying for an additional 2 weeks and I had status with SPG so Michelle Cruz gave us an enhanced room to make our long-term stay more comfortable. Thank you Michelle! I honestly could not of asked for a better experience! PS. The printer in the Business Center should be fixed so that we dont have to email our confidential documents to the front desk for printing — im sure its being worked on :) and you should have a vegetarian option for dinner. Loved this hotel. Nice rooms, complimentary food/drinks, no pet fees, great teas, friendly staff. My only issue was the slow elevators. Great stay at a great online rate!

Avoid this hotel. Layout and design make it very uncomfortable. The attempt to make it a green and modern hotel has failed leaving the hotel with a very«cheap» look and feel. The bathroom in my room is reminiscent of a public bathroom. Example, the toilet paper holder has a locked spare roll. Now that’s cheap…

The place and décor is beautiful but there are key elements missing. No trash cans in the room, hot water not working, front desk staff seemed not well trained, breakfast was not fully prepared at the lobby. For the price and being a WEstin hotel you are not getting what you pay for. This hotel needs to improve, they can do ten times better.

Nice front desk staff, cool-looking lobby and a great gym. Good free food and drinks in the evening and adjacent to Loft which has a nice bar. However, what is inexcusable is that Starwood allowed this hotel to open when it was so clearly not ready. The main A/C on the floors was set to oh… approximately 35 degrees F, there was paint and construction debris still on the floors and in the elevators, our room floor had paint stains and other construction debris to the point that the housekeeper told us not to walk in bare feet. In the morning, the elevators were occupied by workers armed with industrial cleaning supplies, toilet parts and wheelbarrows. Seriously? The concept is cool, but Starwood cannot put their name behind a place like this until it’s ready to open. An an SPG Gold member, it was very disappointing to see the low quality and poor preparation of this new hotel.

Awesome doesn’t describe how nice this new hotel is. Serene, calm, and the fact that its the first Green Hotel in Doral are all pluses. Friendly staff and part of the complex which includes ALOFT with a complete bar, DJ and live music. Great Pool to enjoy the great South Florida weather!
