Fast, über friendly service. Excellent bacon chicken pizza slices. Thin crunchy crust and my friend’s chicken salad was also excellent. I will be back.

Only the ham and sausage toppings were the redeeming qualities for the three giant slices of pizza we ordered. They were the only toppings we could taste. Probably because they are loaded with salt. It’s family owned so it’s sad to give it just a two star rating, but I want to warn you all. The crust didn’t taste like anything. The cheese didn’t taste like anything. I ate it and it had texture, but there was no flavor. The barely cooked onion topping was also sad. We ordered three different flavors, but honestly we couldn’t really taste the difference because they were all meh. It certainly is the most flavorless pizza I have ever tasted. Middle school cafeteria pizza was better. Casola’s is more about quantity(big slices) than quality of ingredients.

The only good thing about this place is the size of the food(a slice is the size of a man’s skull), and that’s about it. The pizza crust is very thin and hard and tastes like nothing. There’s no flavor in the crust, or the cheese, or any of the ingredients for that matter. It’s all very bland, no matter what you get. Cheap, Americanized pizza made with cheap ingredients and you can taste it, especially in the copious amounts of grease that remain when you decide to add meat to your pizza. Not to mention that every time I’ve gone, the workers always looked miserable and dreading life itself. Only come here if you’re REALLY desperate, but instead you should drive down ten blocks to Groovy’s and get a better tasting pizza with a better tasting crust, and positive workers.

Good food for cheap. Must try their philly cheese steak. A little tip: if you like a crispy pizza, order by the slice becuase those slices have been sitting there for a while toasting up.

Place is messy and smells at times but the food is very good. Pizza is their main staple and a must have. For the freshest pie, order plain cheese. All other plates are also very good.

I live right down the road from Casola’s, and we mainly eat here after a night of(one too) many libations. It is consistent and spot on every time. Everything comes out hot, we’ve had nothing that was luke warm or cold. The pizza, cheese steaks, tuna croissants, chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks(ok so yeah 2016 diet is on now) were all so flavorful. It’s the only place open super late so it’s our go to, and the fact that the food is fresh and delicious is even better. We will continue our patronage(but now for cheat meals)! Bottom line — if you’re from the northeast, and especially New York, this is the most authentic pizza you will find in Miami.

This is a good late night stop and a place for delivery in a pinch! Thank you.

Decent pizza, nice price. Got my slice in 2 mins. Super fast. Trying again today. … I do find it hilarious how many people go batshit over getting a one inch by one inch square of pizza for free.

Open late, affordable,(but cash only!) relatively fast service, massive portions, and tasty! Their pizza is never drowned in sauce(my pet peeve) and their cheeses and toppings are always flavorful. The wings are also well seasoned and moist, quite yummy, and the Italian sub I got there last week was better than anything you’ll ever find at a chain. Definitely give this place a try. They’ve been around for over 30 years for a good reason. P. S. They always have free samples, and who doesn’t love free samples?

We ordered take out from this place and I was impressed with how quickly the food was delivered. We ordered steak subs which included peppers, onions, mushrooms & cheese(#48) and it was a big portion for $ 8 and very delicious. We also ordered the cheeseburger(#54) $ 7 with all the condiments & it too was delicious. They are famous for their pizza but I found it too expensive @ $ 24-$ 26 for a large specialty pizza.

I am quite amazed at the quality of the pizza and a meatball sandwich(aka hoagie, aka hero sandwich) that I ordered from Casola’s for delivery to my hotel room during a stay in Coral Gables in mid-October. So, here is what happened: During a recent 8-day stay at a hotel(the Holiday Inn Coral Gables — University) in Coral Gables, there arrived a dinnertime when I had no interest in going out for dinner, nor for eating dinner at the hotel’s restaurant(which serves pretty good dinners, in general). So, I went to the hotel’s front desk, and asked if they had a list or something similar of restaurants in the area that are willing and able to deliver to guests staying at their hotel. The helpful front desk clerk quickly handed me a handful of menus from nearby restaurants that deliver. I was primarily craving pizza, and perhaps a meatball sandwich as well. Luckily, among the many menus were five from pizzerias. For some reason, my inner guidance told me to order ONLY from the menu from Casola’s, and not from the menus of any of the other four pizza/sandwich vendors. And so I called Casola’s and ordered a large plain cheese pizza and a whole(full length) meatball hoagie sandwich. The woman who took my order(and she was very efficient and helpful) told me that my order would likely be delivered to my hotel room door in about 55 to 60 minutes. Exactly 55 minutes after I had placed the order, there was a knock on my hotel room door, and upon opening it, I found a deliveryman standing there with my order. After giving him the payment plus a tip, I carried the goodies into my room to settle down for dinner. First, I have to tell you that the large cheese pizza that they sent me was by far the largest«Large» pizza that I have ever encountered in my life. The pizza slices turned out to also be very large, and the quality of the pizza was amazing, from the crust(particularly the crust) and the sauce to the cheese. This pizza was among the best pizza that I have eaten in the past 10 years, and I regularly eat pizza in New York City and in New Orleans, and even though both of those cities have plenty of very good pizza available, this pizza beat the best from each of those cities. One thing that I particularly appreciated about the very flavorful crust was that it was made with real pizza dough, and that the crust bottom was covered with white corn meal, just as is found on the crusts of the best NYC Italian pizza, and it was cooked just right. I also decided to eat part of the meatball hero sandwich, and when I opened the package, I discovered that the meatball sandwich was the fattest and longest meatball hero that I have encountered in years. And, the meatballs and sauce were very tasty. The sandwich was so big that I ate only a small part of it with the pizza slices for my dinner that evening, and even though I ate further portions of the meatball hoagie along with four other meals that I subsequently ate in my hotel room, there was still a sizeable portion of the sandwich left in my fridge when I checked out of the hotel 5 days later. I visit Coral Gables and South Miami regularly for my work, and from now on, the only place from which I will EVER order pizza or Italian sandwiches will be Casola’s! Their food is amazing! I want them to open a pizza restaurant in every city that I ever visit regularly!

I would honestly say this is the worst pizza I have ever tasted in Miami…, except I didn’t taste it. My pepperoni slice posessed NOT a smidgen of flavor. I even picked off a pepperoni slice and munched on it and I swear I could not have have told you what I had in my mouth. I’ve never before opened a salt packet to sprinkle on pizza, …not that it helped. Just dismal; dry like a bone. IF there was cheese on it, I sure couldn’t taste it, the same for sauce. .or lack thereof. I mean, not even if I was attempting to sober up, would it taste good. Little Cesars, in comparison I find much tastier, and I really am NOT fond of that brand but sometimes it’ll just do. Liked the crust, though. dipped in the tasteless garlicky grease they serve with their all too fluffy rolls which I also didn’t care for… certainly not compared to The Big Cheese’s more dense rolls…‘specially when they’re served right out of the oven… ahhhh…and wonderfully pungent garlicky sauce. which I bring home to cook with. Other than the huge slice, I don’t think It had anything else going for it… I even had a taste of the«fresh» cheese slices they put out. one of only two left after the area resident homeless lady scooped up about ten and tossed them in her pocket… They tasted HOT and dismal… Beyond that, we shared a generous,(enough for a nice portion for two), if not particularly memorable Greek salad. I also was truly surprised that this place has been in SW Miami for thirty years and so have I, yet I’d never heard of it. This is not to say that I wouldn’t go back at least one more time. A place that survives for thirty years deserves some respect. They must be doing something right. P’rhaps their area of expertise is sub sandwiches… maybe a pasta dish… I’m willing to order one, should I return. It does have good late hours going for it. 2am weekdays and 5am weekends… and the cash ‘only’ policy seems to work for them, even in an age of plastic. xo-a

This place has been here for years. Always a great stop to enjoy a colossal size sub or pizza. Low key décor, very casual. Pretty good parking in front and back. It gets pretty busy at nite and weekends, but it’s worth it. My favorite is their roast beef sub. The bread is toasted just right and the meat and cheese is melted enough together it’s mouth watering. Their pizza is off the chart. So huge one slice can feed two kids. They have pretty good choice of beer and wine or soft drinks. Bring cash!!! No credit cards taken. But they do have an ATM inside.

***HEADLINE — Staff do not wash hands after going to the toilet *** Against my better judgement I visited yesterday and also against my better judgement I ordered a slice with meat on it. If you are hungry and don’t mind diarrhea the next day, knock yourself out and eat at Casola’s. You don’t walk in here expecting gourmet, you know what you are letting yourself in for when you walk in, it’s gonna be greasy, there’s no wood burning over, prosciutto or arugula, you’re going to find the American pizza joint standards, Hawaiian, canned olives, canned mushrooms and cheap ham and cheese. What is not acceptable is what I saw yesterday and wish I had seen before I sat down for a lazy Sunday post-beach feed. After I had my meal, I went to the restroom. There was a man next to me at the urinal doing his number 1. When he was done he turned around to leave and I realised this guy was not going to wash his hands and I thought«what a cochino!». Then I saw that he had a Casola’s t-shirt on and realised to my horror this was an employee that was either going to touch your food, your money, the door handles or something else you were sure to come into contact with at this greasy pizza joint. And yes, my guts have since last night felt like someone pulled a string a barbed wire from my mouth through my out-hole. There is no excuse for employees not washing their hands after handling their private parts in any job, least of all a food service business. AVOID!!!

Great place! The extra large pizza barely fits inside the box! Best sausage mushroom pizza around. It;s pretty thin crust(which I love) Pizza and the sauce is very good– not too sweet and not too bland. Great toppings– the sausage is really good and flavorful. If you buy by the slice it’s HUGE. We always end up bringing some home and it’s delicious the next day as well. My BF’s family has been coming here for many years and have tried everything, from the pizza(yummy) to hamburgers(really good sized and tasty), steak subs are great too, subs… it’s all good. Can be very busy, noisy and just plain loud at times, but there are always free samples of pizza to munch on while waiting. Al;ways lots of people but if you go when they open or a little before or after lunch/dinner, it’s not too bad. The food is worth the wait! They only take cash, but have an ATM in the shop. However, they will accept credit cards for delivery!!! They also have a ice cream section to get something sweet after you eat. It’s my go-to pizza place when I am in Miami. Wish it could be brought back to Boston where it started so many years ago! Or at least open another location near me in Mass…

ONETHINGFORSUREISEVERYTHINGYOUORDERHERECOMESHUGEWHICHISGREAT ! free samples are great !! But I had a problem… When I ordered the pizza it didn’t taste anything like the sample. I got a full medium sized pizza and they were sampling a large slice… So I guess you’re better off getting it by the slice !!! It takes 30 minutes to receive your pizza when you order it full. I also got chicken wings which were good and huge also served In a huge portion! The restaurant felt like I was in the inside of a school cafeteria. Very loud and Echo. Also the tables don’t match. The decoration in here is outdated and scary! Got a chocolate Sunday after in the dessert area and I would say the guy working there was the only person in the whole place that gave me good service !!! Overall, I am extremely disappointed with this place. I had heard good things and I guess I probably just came in with high expectations . **oh and the lines are HUGE**

Portions: Massive Exchange: CASH(american pesos) only Taste: Delish Toppings: Amplitudinous Price: Acceptable Atmosohere: Annoying Décor: Lame Service: Pizza Been here a few times but i can’t really remember what i’ve had before because i was usually drunk(everyone knows that pizza eats alcohol…). Service is usually pretty quick considering that they are always busy. A «slice» here is comparable to almost half of a medium pizza from a chain restaurant. If you get multiple toppings, they straight up stack it up — i had a 3 meat today and i had to eat the meats individually… ok maybe i didn’t ‘have’ to but it was pretty good that way. The garlic rolls were extremely dissapointing though. ‘C+’ for the rolls, ‘A-’ for the pizza(the crust is so wimpy). Parking could be tight here, there is more out back but depending on the time those may be full too… in which case you might find some on the street by the«exit». The crowd here is loud and obnoxious on the reg, so bring some earplugs or a loudER friend.

I have been coming here for many years. It’s not bad but it just bothers me that over the years the pizza has become increasingly soggy. Me personally I like for my pizza to be crunchy. They do use good ingredients but the fact that it is soggy just ruins it for me. It is also a bit pricey in my opinion. If you are going to get toppings on your pizza make sure you order a whole pie. If you order a single slice with toppings they just throw the toppings on top of a cheese slice… which I do not appreciate. The one thing I highly recommend off the menu is the italian sub. It is stacked full of assorted italian meats and toasted to perfection. It is truly amazing. The motif is that of your average pizzeria. The service isn’t bad and it is usually very fast. The reason I have been here so often is because it’s one of the only restaurant in this area.

Placed a pickup order for a house pizza. When I opened the box in the car the slices were hot, gooey and the cheese was still bubbling(that’s when you know it’s hot and fresh out of the oven). This pizza barely made it home!!! All you could see through the window was my face inside of a huge, white pizza box. This box is big and the slices are huge! Great for feeding large parties or just me… They were really nice on the phone and weren’t stingy on providing red pepper flakes or cheese in little containers for my pizza. It’s a good thing I don’t live close to Casola’s or else I’d be ordering house pies every week!

I ordered take out from here to work. On a regular weekday, delivery took an hour during lunch time. It was slightly inconvenient seeing as how I have a limited time frame to eat but now I know for next time. I tried the cheese sticks. I have to say, I am a cheese stick lover and I have probably tried them everywhere they are offered, these were not so great. They came with a generous amount of sauce but tasted reheated and soggy. I ordered the lasagna and meatballs for my meal. The meatballs were delicious! The lasagna was really good but a little overwhelmingly cheesy in my opinion. The service was really great. Both the person taking my order and the driver were attentive to detail and friendly. I did think it was a little overpriced for what is offered which is why I decided to rate it 3 stars. Had the same dishes been offered at 15% less, I would be satisfied.
