Hidden gem. Awesome ambiance and décor. Food is really good and they have special offers everyday including the weekends. I recommend the chicken Parmesan and the lasagna. The petit chocolate cake with ice cream is amazing!

We need a good neighborhood Italian restaurant in the Grove and this place could be perfect. The food was pretty good — We ordered the Brie & Fig Bread, a pizza, Linguine de mare and another pasta. We all especially enjoyed the fig bread. The service, however, needs quite a bit of help. Our order was incorrect, they had trouble fixing it in their system, the credit card machine was not working and no one even acknowledged the issues or apologized for the delay. The manager barely speaks English and has zero clue what he is doing. Hopefully, they will get a new manager and get their act together because the Grove coming back in a big way!

This is an edit to my original review just to clarify, without change of stars or opinion because the owner/someone who works for this restaurant responded to my previous review. First time we went: Waiter was clueless, didn’t speak any english which was kind of annoying: I asked for a pizza with an add on of arugula. he said he didn’t have arugula and i said«well it’s listed as a topping on a few of your other pizzas?» he had to check with the kitchen and eventually I got what i had ordered… was flavorless anyway. We figured the place was just too new and hadn’t got into their groove yet. Second time we went: My husband and I went on a Friday night and it was packed. so we assumed it was because they had«got into their groove» and word had got out! My husband and I walked in without a reservation, host guy didn’t speak english, we «motioned» the bar was fine so eventually we were served by Carolina at the bar, good service but once again everything was flavorless. We were hungry and we’ve never been the type to send food back or complain. we just simply decided not to come back. … and to carolinas husband, the guy to responded to my post, SORRY we tipped 20% lol. It isn’t her fault we didn’t like the food. Overall, Prices are reasonable, parking is free, but food is flavorless and a lot of the staff doesn’t seem to speak english… They did happen to have a $ 2.50 dessert special on that Friday night which was cool. We live in the Grove and love when we can really support/get behind businesses here but this isn’t one them.

Fantastic little family Italian restaurant. Fresh ingredients and amazing service. If you want to find your favorite new little regular restaurant this is it. Say hello to Carolina and her husband. Marsala will take care of you at the bar. Enjoy.

Great food and good service. I totally reccomend the risottos. The only thing that went wrong is that I had to wait more than an hour for the food to come. Overall, I still liked the place and I will come more often.

Absolutely amazing Italian food and outstanding service. This is such a hidden gem in Miami. We started with appetizers because it was a large group we had almost all that were available. All were very tasty. I had them do a special order of Veal Osso Buco with mushroom risotto and a side of eggplant parmesan thag was out of this world amazing. My wife had the Fiochi with gorgonzola and pears. Will definitely be back over and over.

Ok. I REALLY want this place to succeed because I live in the area and would LOVE small, great restaurants to be everywhere and make the neighborhood really special. This place needs to change something to make a mark in the area. We had 2 different pizzas, the lasagna, and another pasta. All of the food was just OK. The pizzas definitely needed to be larger, and have more of a wood oven taste. And it needed a great sauce! The cheese was good, but it was that type of pizza that had not enough sauce. And undercooked. We were there on a Friday night at 8:30 and we were the only ones there from 8:30−11PM. It is in such an obscure little spot that the food needs to be something spectacular for people to have word of mouth and go. The staff was great! Very attentive. But we were also the only ones there… PLEASE step up your game. Maybe become a little more casual and have a better pizza selection. I would love to see you succeed and become a part of the neighborhood.

The food here is excellent. Great addition to the neighborhood dining scene. Highly recommend the risotto and the meatball appetizer.

Hands down the best Italian food in Miami. We started off with their house specialty, Polpettone, a mix of ground filet mignon and cheese which is battered and fried. We had the lasagna and the linguine carbonara as our entrees and the carbonara was by far the best tasting I’ve had, beating dishes I’ve had in Italy. Service was excellent, our waiter was attentive, quick, and ready to meet our needs. The atmosphere and décor is very quaint and cute and would be perfect for private events. The best restaurant experience we’ve had in quite a while and we cannot wait to go back.

Incredible place. Small, chic and affordable. A true gem. The service is amazing. Their menu is quite diverse. Had the seafood dish. Very tasty. My kids had the chicken Alfredo and ate every noodle. A definite must if you’re in the Grove. We will definitely return.

I dined at Fornaro tonight and was disappointed by my experience. The staff is very friendly, and kept checking on us. And the ambiance is actually very nice. But the food left something to be desired. The issues began shortly after we ordered. We started with a prosciutto pizza which came out warm(not hot) and didn’t have much flavor. The cheese wasn’t very crispy, sort of mushy. Next, we had the white fish. The waiter said it was snapper, but it tasted more like grouper. The flavor of the sauce was actually good, but the fish itself didn’t have much flavor. And it didn’t taste very fresh. The chicken piccata was again flavorful, but completely inedible. It was a very thick and rubbery. It tasted as though it was frozen and then defrosted albeit poorly. The waiter took the chicken off the check, which was nice, but the replacement penne with sausage wasn’t much better. The sauce was good, but the sausage had zero flavor. Assuming the chicken was an anomaly, my take away is that the food is not really well-seasoned. They rely heavily on sauce, but don’t season the protein. I won’t be going back.

Warm and welcoming atmosphere with phenomenal food. The pasta fiochi was creamy and delicious. The servers were very attentive and helpful. The only thing that would make this a better lunch time spot is a lunch menu. Half pizza and half salad please!

Very nice looking place, BUT it was extremely warm inside even when I asked for the air to be turned on it was ignored. They recommend a dish that’s supposed to be finely minced filet mignon stuffed with mozzarella, breaded and fried. The meat was not minced and I’m sure it wasn’t anything even close to Filet, it was thin and I mean paper thin slices of something that looked more like frozen philly steak slices and did not taste good at all. The pizza has a HINT of tomato sauce, very dry and the pasta with pomodoro sauce has some type of herb or spice that tasted awful. After we left we went for a real Italian dinner. My advise, go somewhere else.

It’s very pleasant. The staff is lovely and helpful, though at times a tad over eager but they are very new so I totally understand. The food… I had a glass of wine and the prosciutto pizza and it was okay… the crust was great. Overall it was a pleasant experience and I plan to return especially since it’s a neighborhood business.
